Netflix just dropped a trailer for a new feel-good romantic comedy with Miranda Cosgrove — and it looks like guilty pleasure material
Mere days after releasing "My Oxford Year," Netflix has dropped a trailer for another destination romance. Introducing: "The Wrong Paris." Don't go in expecting the same kind of romantic drama, though: Janeen Damian's forthcoming watch isn't the same kind of love story. Instead, "The Wrong Paris" is a romantic comedy that sees Dawn ("iCarly's" Miranda Cosgrove) catching feelings for an eligible Texan bachelor (Pierson Fodé) after a dating show mishap. Dawn's keen to attend a French art school (one that she simply cannot afford to attend). At the suggestion of her friends, she auditions for "The Honey Pot," a dating show that should offer her a free trip to Paris. When she steps off the plane, she finds herself just a few miles from her hometown in Paris, Texas, and tangled up in a "Bachelor"-style dating show, vying for the affection of Trey McAllen. Chaos ensues, and sparks (inevitably) start to fly. Judging by the trailer alone, "The Wrong Paris" looks like it's primed to be my next guilty pleasure Netflix watch. The vibe is feel-good, cheesy romance mixed with silly comedy. I highly doubt "The Wrong Paris" is about to become Netflix's next critical darling or bag an Oscar, but this new release could well be a breezy watch for rom-com fans. And judging by the reactions in the comments on YouTube, plenty of fans can't wait to stream it, either. Get instant access to breaking news, the hottest reviews, great deals and helpful tips. If Netflix's new romantic comedy belongs on your watchlist, you don't have to wait long to stream it. "The Wrong Paris" starts streaming on Netflix from Friday, September 12, 2025. Netflix has shared a brief logline for "The Wrong Paris," but it doesn't give much more away about the new film. It reads: "She signed up for Paris, France. She got Paris, Texas. In this feel-good Netflix romantic comedy, Miranda Cosgrove plays an aspiring artist who joins a dating show hoping for a free trip to Paris, France, but ends up just a few miles from her hometown in Paris, Texas. What starts as a plan to get eliminated takes an unexpected turn when sparks fly with the bachelor (Pierson Fodé)." In addition to Cosgrove and Fodé, "The Wrong Paris" also stars Madison Pettis, Madeleine Arthur, Frances Fisher, Yvonne Orji, Torrance Coombs, Christin Park, Emilija Baranac, and Hannah Stocking. Looking for something to stream while you wait for "The Wrong Paris" to come to Netflix? Brooklyn Beckham Shares Sweet Tribute to Sister Harper on 14th Birthday Amid Ongoing Family Feud
Brooklyn Beckham is sending birthday wishes to his little sister, Harper. On Thursday, June 10, the youngest of David and Victoria Beckham's children turned 14 years old. To mark the occasion, Brooklyn, 26, took to his Instagram Story to share a sweet tribute. Brooklyn posted a photo of him and wife Nicola Peltz smiling with their arms around Harper, who stands in the middle. 'Happy birthday harper we love you x,' he wrote in white text on the photo. The photographer's post comes as rumors about a family feud continue to swirl. A source close to the situation exclusively told Star recently that Brooklyn and Nicola, 30, are standing up to his parents. 'David and Victoria have been relentless for the last five years, constantly going after Brooklyn and Nicola,' the insider said. 'There's been this ongoing pressure and criticism, they just can't seem to let Brooklyn and Nicola live their lives.' The source added that Brooklyn has been 'trying to make his own way' in the world. 'He doesn't deserve to be belittled or ignored for that,' the insider explained. 'It's as if they're rattled and getting terrible advice, and now, Brooklyn and Nicola are finally standing up for themselves.' After Brooklyn and Nicola were absent from David Beckham's 50th birthday celebration in May — which his three siblings, Cruz, 20, Romeo, 22, and Harper, attended — a source told People that the couple skipped out because they didn't want to be around Romeo's then-girlfriend, Kim Turnbull. The source alleged that Brooklyn and Turnbull, 24, dated, but the model denied those reports on her Instagram Story on June 16. 'I have never been romantically involved in ANY capacity at ANY point with the person in question,' she wrote, referring to Brooklyn. 'Nothing between us has occurred further than a school friendship at age 16. I would like to remove myself from the ongoing conversation & set the record straight for the sake of everyone involved.' Shortly after the legendary soccer player's birthday party, Romeo and Turnbull broke up. Despite the drama, David included Brooklyn in his heartfelt Father's Day post. The former LA Galaxy player shared an Instagram carousel filled with snaps of all four of his children. 'My most important & favourite job in life is being a dad… I'm so proud of all of you and like daddy ( sorry boys ) tells you every single day I will always be here for you no matter what… Mummy thank you for doing the most important part and making me a father there is no greater gift in life than making me a dad… Happy Father's Day… I love you kiddies more than you could imagine.. 🩷🩷🩷🩷 @victoriabeckham @brooklynpeltzbeckham @romeobeckham@cruzbeckham #HarperSeven @tedbeckhamdavid 🩷,' David captioned his post. Celine Dion's fierce defence of son is a lesson in handling 'unwanted advice'
Celine Dion, 57, is a singing icon, but at home her most important role is being mum to her three sons, René-Charles, 24, and twins Nelson and Eddy, 14. The star showed the extent of a mother's love when she fiercely defended her eldest son in an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, which has now resurfaced online. Re-shared this year by Instagram fan account, @celinedionfashion, the clip showed Celine being interviewed by talk show host Ellen DeGeneres and things took a turn when Ellen asked when she was going to cut off her son's long hair. "Do you have a problem with that?" was Celine's speedy response. "Whatever I will do, I won't please everyone," she quipped, and also went on to reveal that "Rene-Charles makes his own decisions." MORE TO READ Celine Dion opens up about how her three sons have privately dealt with her health battle Fans praised how Celine handled the situation with one writing: "Celine did that with style, education and respect! She's amazing!" and another adding: "Do you have a problem with that? Put Ellen in place right there." A third penned: "Sooooo classy! So admirable, Céline!" and a fourth added: "Glad Ellen is not on TV anymore; she was not kind." Mum-of-one Features Editor, Miranda Thompson, shares her experience on unsolicited advice about children. "When it comes to unwanted advice about my son, I have to always try to remember people think they're being helpful, not malicious, and that it's likely they're trying to offer their own support in their own way. If it really winds me up, I'll take a deep breath and vent to a mum chat later!" she says. Celine shares her sons with late music producer René Angélil, who sadly passed away in 2003. On Father's Day, Celine shared a heartfelt message to her late husband. "You may no longer be by our side, but your love lives within us. You taught our boys to be kind, to believe in who they are, and to take care of one another. That's the greatest gift of all." Celine's health Celine has been plagued with health battles in recent years. In 2022, she revealed her Stiff-Person Syndrome diagnosis. The rare neurological disorder causes painful spasms and mobility issues. She first began experiencing symptoms in 2008, but it took years to get properly diagnosed. In July 2024, she made her triumphant return to the stage at the Paris Olympics Opening Ceremony, performing live from the Eiffel Tower, after having to cancel many shows ahead of that. René-Charles was on hand to cheer and support his mom in Paris on this very special occasion, and he was visibly emotional. In a backstage clip, Celine's son was seen wiping away tears after his mother's spectacular showing as a crew member rubs his shoulder for support. Upon her return, Celine then pulls her son into a tight hug as they both lean into the emotional embrace. Where does Celine Dion live? The hitmaker traded living in an actual waterpark for a luxurious $1.2 million mansion when she started her Vegas residency – and she's been living there ever since. Over the years, we've seen glimpses inside her beautifully decorated abode where everything is immaculately tidied and super luxurious.
