Andri Gudjohnsen opened the scoring for the visitors, and although John Souttar soon equalised for the hosts, Lewis Ferguson's own goal, combined with Victor Palsson's header early in the second half, wrapped up a memorable Icelandic triumph.
Since Friday's loss, key duo Scott McTominay and Kieran Tierney have dropped out of the Scotland squad through injury.
No replacements for the outfield pair were drafted in, but amid a crisis between the sticks, uncapped goalkeepers Callan McKenna and Ross Doohan were both called up.
Clarke has opted to start the latter ahead of young Cieran Slicker, as he makes six changes to his lineup for tonight.
Scotland starting XI: Doohan, Ralston, Robertson, McGinn, Gilmour, Hirst, Adams, Hendry, Miller, S. McKenna, Ferguson.
Subs: C. McKenna, Slicker, Hanley, Conway, Souttar, Irving, Wilson, Barron, Johnston, Doig, Patterson, Bowie.

Livingston 0-2 Hibernian: What Gray said

Hibernian head coach David Gray: "It was very much job done, a real professional performance. I have spoken a lot about needing to use the squad and they all delivered today. A clean sheet at a very difficult place to come and now our attention turns quickly towards Europe which everyone will be excited about."Thibault Klidje was excellent, delighted for him on a personal note. That will do his confidence the world of good. We've been patient with him, we'll continue to do that. He's a work in progress, he needs to settle. I credit the group because of how quickly he has settled in."We've got players that can come on and affect the game, it was a real team performance today."There is still loads to improve on but as far as we're concerned it was a very professional performance and we can look forward to Thursday."On Grant Hanley, Gray adds: "I think that might be only the second game of his career on astroturf, he's got his first blister of his career today. I said 'welcome to Livi away, that's what happens'. He was solid, really composed. The whole back five today, I don't want to single anybody out, because it was a real collective performance."

Kilmarnock 2-1 Dundee United: What Kettlewell said

Kilmarnock manager Stuart Kettlewell: "When I came in on day one, if you'd offered us this start [to the season], we would have bitten your hand off."Coming here today, I know the challenges Dundee United have faced but they're a good side."We had a bit of control in the game, created one or two chances but then I felt we sunk. We gave them some sort of incentive and we were disappointed to be pegged back. I thought the players responded well and overall I felt we deserved to win based on chances created but that doesn't mean it was an easy game."In phases of the game, in and out of possession, we're going to have to be better. But given time, and over the course of the season, we'll continue to get better. We need to improve all the time and make sure we're not standing still."[Against St Mirren] Two teams that will be relatively well matched. We have that wee added bonus of the home tie but we've got a lot of football to take care of between now and then."
