
M37Labs Launches in UAE, Targets Key Sectors with AI
The UAE's AI market is expected to exceed USD $46.33 billion by 2030. It is also projected to contribute AED 96 billion to the national GDP. This collaboration positions M37Labs to play a key role in the country's growing AI ecosystem.
Together, M37Labs and The Dream Earth will offer advanced AI services for enterprises. These include AI-as-a-Service (AIaaS), enterprise AI consulting, decision automation, market intelligence, and rapid prototyping. Services will target core sectors such as real estate, retail, finance, logistics, and hospitality.
M37Labs will support the UAE operations through engineering teams in India and a global network of AI experts. The local delivery model ensures contextual and scalable solutions for the region.
Prem Ramachandran, Founder and CEO of The Dream Earth, and Chief Business Officer at M37Labs, stated that enterprises in the UAE are at a critical point in their digital transformation journey. He emphasized that AI is now a business necessity.
Prashant Shivram Iyer, Co-founder and CEO of M37Labs, added that the company is focused on enabling enterprises to become AI-native at scale. He noted the importance of building AI solutions that are compliant, commercial, and tailored to business needs.

Over 17.6 million illegal excise goods seized in UAE
Image for illustration Inspectors from the Federal Tax Authority (FTA) have seized more than 17.6 million illegal excise goods from across markets in the UAE during the first six months of the year, marking an increase of 144.4 per cent. The raid uncovered products that lacked digital tax stamps and were not registered in the authority's electronic system. Among the confiscated items were 11.52 million tobacco products and 6.1 million goods, including soft drinks, energy drinks, and sweetened beverages. The FTA said it carried out a record of 85,500 inspections during the same period and collected AED 357.2 million in taxes and fines. All products have been confiscated, fines issued, and legal action taken against the violators. The FTA said the inspections are part of ongoing efforts to tackle tax fraud and protect consumers. Sara AlHabshi, Tax Compliance Executive Director of the Tax Affairs sector at FTA said they use advanced "digital technologies" to ensure goods "meet tax requirements for circulation in the UAE market".

Sharjah government to hire 700 Emiratis by end of 2025
Image for illustration Sharjah government has announced its decision to hire 700 UAE nationals by the end of 2025. It follows the directive of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. Sheikh Sultan also approved the promotions for 1,523 government employees at an annual cost of AED 22 million. The government said it will also change the status for 254 employees who've gained academic qualifications at a cost of AED 8,420,803.

Sharjah Ruler unveils decent living grant for some Emirati families
Sharjah has announced a "decent living grant" to help Emirati families live better with an aim to increase their monthly income to AED 17,500. It follows the directive of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to provide financial assistance to 3,162 families registered with the Social Services Department. The Department will be given an additional AED 134 million annually to be disbursed to the families starting September. Sheikh Sultan also announced plans to build a new "Social Care Complex" in Al Ruwaidat with several facilities including a centre for women, a home for the elderly, a mental health facility, and a care home for children, all in one place. The complex will cover an area of 140,000 square metres and will also include recreational facilities, as well as a mosque and gym.
