Footy star Jamarra Ugle-Hagan issues bombshell update on his future after concerns arose he could be set for a Bulldogs exit
Jamarra Ugle-Hagan has posted a huge message of intent on social media, as reports intensify that he could be making a play to leave the Western Bulldogs this year.
The 23-year-old former No 1 draft pick, who is currently on an extended leave of absence from the Western Bulldogs, has taken multiple positive steps in his return to play football in recent weeks, with the footy star booking himself into a health retreat.
In a video posted on Instagram by Ugle-Hagan and personal trainer and boxing coach Byron Bay Boxing, the AFL star was seen in a 'Rocky'-style video, running up hills, sparring in the gym and skipping.
The video was posted with a black-and-white filter and was captioned 'We into it'.
He has been seen sporadically at the Whitten Oval, missing several pre-season training sessions and has not played for the club in 2025.
The Bulldogs' leading goal scorer for the 2024 season has also not featured for his side this year due to personal issues.

It comes as Channel 9 reporter Tom Morris told Footy Classified that the Bulldogs player was keen to play for the Swans next season.
'My understanding is that Jamarra has told people that he would like to play for the Sydney Swans next year, in a perfect world,' he said.
Morris added he was 'unsure' over whether that move would materialise, considering his current contract situation with the Western bulldogs.
Many took to social media to issue messages of support to Ugle-Hagan, with one asking in the comments: 'Please come back'.
Ugle-Hagan responeded: 'Coming x.'
Another added: 'Only up,' to which the Bulldogs forward replied: 'Dat way.'
Last month, Bulldogs boss Luke Beveridge issued his support to the 23-year-old star, stating: 'We hope Jamarra goes really well in this period of finding himself both in life and then in the game.'
Former Crows star Rory Sloane said it 'was great to see him back' training but believes 'the next step' is to see him training with a football club.

'It's great that he's comfortable sharing that on social media,' the Crows legend said to Footy Classified.
'He wants to play for the Sydney Swans, so that's step one right there.
'Step two - if I'm a club and I am serious about picking this guy up I need to see him training with a footy club.
'He needs to, too, because you cannot do training like that on your own. You need to have touch of footys, you need to be involved, surrounded by the best people.
'Footy clubs are great environments to go through hardship.'
Sloan believes Ugle-Hagan needs to get himself back into training with the Bulldogs later on in the season if he is to get a move in the summer.

Sydney Sweeney shows off FIVE different looks in one day including chic suits and a dramatic gown during incredibly stylish press tour for her new film Echo Valley
Sydney Sweeney stepped out in no less than five different looks as she promoted her new film, Echo Valley, in New York on Wednesday. Especially in recent years, actresses and actors have used fashion to complement their promotional tours and draw attention to the upcoming film release. And the Hollywood actress, 27, took full advantage of the marketing technique as she stepped out in an array of eye-catching looks this week. First thing in the morning, Sydney, who has been working with working with stylist Molly Dickson, was spotted leaving her hotel wearing a chic nautical Coperni look. Sydney wore a black button-through vest with a white striped sailor collar, which she styled with a pleated white mini skirt with a fun asymmetrical hem. The White Lotus star completed the ensemble with a pair of black Wayfarer sunglasses and sported a pair of heeled knee-high boots. By the time she arrived for her Good Morning America appearance, Sweeney had swapped into an archival Jean Paul Gaultier suit dress. Embracing the 'no pants trend', Sydney showed of her toned legs in a pair of brown pumps, which perfectly complemented the tone of the jacket and tie. The jacket is from Jean Paul Gaultier's fall 2005 collection that was sewn up the centre and teamed with a matching tie. Sydney has embraced the fashion marathon element of the press tour and was later seen out again in another brown ensemble. This time, Sydney was sporting Oscar de la Renta from the fashion house's fall 2025 collection as she once again exited her luxury hotel. Her outfit was a lightly blue checked silk co-ord, including a short-sleeved pussy bow blouse teamed with a pair of wide-legged trousers. She added a further pop of colour with a pair of pale blue heels, while accessorising with quirky shades and a cream clutch bag. By the evening, Sydney was onto her third look as she attended the film's premiere. The starlet embraced 'method dressing' as she attended the event wearing a scarlet gown, which boasted a train following her down the carpet. The dress appeared to be a nod to a moment she has previously discussed in the film, where she arrives on her mother's doorstep covered in blood. Sydney stars opposite Julianne Moore in the psychological thriller, where she plays an addict named Claire and follows the story of how a mother will go for their child. Speaking about the plot previously, Sydney said: 'My character Claire is not the best daughter and she puts her mom through a lot. Claire shows up covered in blood at her mother's doorstep. She attended the premiere with Julianne and Kyle MacLachlan, who plays her father, where the sizzling sensation put her décolletage on display in a plunging gown. Her luxurious scarlet frock was cinched in around her enviably svelte midsection before flowing into a luxurious skirt that flowed across the floor. With ruched accents around her tiny waistline, the sumptuous dress accentuated Sydney's curves to full advantage as she sauntered across the carpet. She later looked incredible as she headed to the afterparty of her Echo Valley premiere at Lincoln Ristorante. She slipped into a figure-hugging cocktail dress as she celebrated the release of the film The Hollywood star, who styled the look with a pair of red pumps, stopped to snap selfies with a fan who caught her outside the swanky eatery Sydney slipped into a figure-hugging cocktail dress as she celebrated the release of the film. The multiple outings came shortly after she finally broke her silence on her split from Jonathan Davino. Sydney and Jonathan, 41, started dating 2018 and got engaged in 2022 but kept their romance largely out of the public eye. Over the past few months, though, they were trailed by a swirl of rumors that they had called off the wedding, fueled by Sydney's sightings without his ring. Last week she finally put the swirling speculation to bed by confirming her relationship status while plugging her new film to The Times. When she was asked whether she was still planning her wedding, she replied: 'No,' and when prodded on whether she was single, she said: 'Yes.' Julianne posed proudly beside Sydney at the premiere this Wednesday, demonstrating the resemblance between the pair. The Oscar-winning actress brought back memories of the 1980s in a black gown with raised shoulders that appeared to have been done in velvet or velour. Her unmistakable red hair was teased into a silken bob, and her makeup brought out a luminous glow in her complexion as she beamed next to her onscreen daughter. Julianne attended the gala at AMC Lincoln Square on the arm of her casually dressed son Caleb Freundlich, who has followed her footsteps into showbiz and become a singer-songwriter under the name Caleb Moore. Sydney and Julianne also gathered together for a group shot with their co-star Kyle MacLachlan, who plays the husband of Julianne's character. Kyle, Julianne and Sydney also stood for pictures with their dashing castmates Edmund Donovan, Domhnall Gleeson and Albert Jones. Directed by Michael Pearce, the film also features Fiona Shaw, who is best known to moviegoers around the world as Harry Potter's Aunt Petunia. Echo Valley will receive a limited theatrical release in the United States this Friday, and next Friday will become more widely available on Apple TV+.

Erin Patterson: Woman accused of killing three people with poisonous mushrooms denies measuring 'fatal dose'
Why you can trust Sky News A woman accused of murdering three of her estranged husband's relatives with poisonous death cap mushrooms inside a beef wellington has denied she measured a "fatal dose" on her kitchen scales. Erin Patterson is charged with murdering her mother-in-law Gail Patterson, father-in-law Donald Patterson, and Gail's sister, Heather Wilkinson. She is also charged with the attempted murder of Ian Wilkinson, Heather's husband. Her estranged husband, Simon Patterson, was also invited to lunch but didn't attend. Prosecutors say Patterson knowingly served the guests lethal death cap mushrooms in a beef wellington at her home in Leongatha, Victoria, Australia, on 29 July, 2023. The 50-year-old denies all the charges, claiming the deaths were a "terrible accident". Under cross-examination on Thursday by the prosecution in court, Patterson was asked whether a series of photos of mushrooms placed on weighing scales in her kitchen was evidence she had been measuring a "fatal dose" to serve to her lunch guests. "I suggest that you were weighing these death cap mushrooms so that you could calculate the weight required for the administration of a fatal dose for one person. Agree or disagree?" barrister Nanette Rogers said. "Disagree," Patterson replied. Patterson accepted she had lied to police and medical professionals after the lunch when she was asked whether she had ever foraged for mushrooms or owned a food dehydrator - which was later found in a waste disposal plant containing traces of death caps. Giving evidence earlier in the day while being questioned by her own barrister, Colin Mandy, Patterson told the trial in Morwell, Victoria, she did not intentionally pick death cap mushrooms, or knowingly serve them to her lunch guests. She also denied that she pretended to be sick after the lunch to avoid becoming a suspect in the case.

Scientists hail breakthrough putting them on ‘pathway to an HIV cure'
Researchers at the Peter Doherty Institute in Melbourne, Australia have discovered a way to force HIV out of hiding within white blood cells, a development previously considered impossible. The team developed a new type of lipid nanoparticle (LNP) that allows mRNA technology to be delivered to blood cells, instructing them to reveal the virus. Dr Paula Cevaal said the team was initially skeptical of the results but repeated testing confirmed the breakthrough. The new method has shown unprecedented success in revealing the virus, offering hope for a potential HIV cure, though further animal and human trials are needed. The study used cells donated by HIV patients. Future research will focus on whether the immune system can effectively tackle the revealed virus, with years of safety testing anticipated before human trials.
