Delhi records low of 25.7 degree Celsius; AQI ‘satisfactory'
The IMD has forecast thunderstorms with rain for Saturday (August 1, 2025), with the maximum temperature expected to settle around 35 degrees Celsius.
The relative humidity was recorded at 81% at 8:30 a.m.
The air quality was in the 'satisfactory' category at 9 a.m. on Saturday (August 1, 2025), with an Air Quality Index (AQI) reading of 74, Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data showed.
According to the CPCB, an AQI between zero and 50 is considered 'good', 51 and 100 'satisfactory', 101 and 200 'moderate', 201 and 300 'poor', 301 and 400 'very poor', and 401 and 500 'severe'.

More frequent, intense rain tomorrow: Met
Kolkata: While the monsoon trough shifted closer to the Himalayan foothills, an upper air cyclonic circulation brought rain to the city and other parts of south Bengal. While the city is expected to get a few spells of rain every day, the Met office predicted a higher intensity on Thursday. Max temp drops to 31.8°C, heavy rain likely to lash Gurgaon
Gurgaon: The city saw a marginal dip in temperature on Tuesday, with both the maximum and minimum readings dropping by 0.8 degrees Celsius compared to the previous day. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the city recorded a maximum temperature of 31.8°C, slightly cooler than Monday's 32.6°C. The minimum settled at 27.1°C, also 0.8 degrees lower than the day before. "While the rainfall so far has been patchy, conditions are becoming favourable for moderate to heavy rain over parts of south Haryana, including Gurgaon. People should be prepared for sudden showers and localised disruptions," said an IMD official. As heavy rainfall activity is expected to pick up later in the week, residents have been advised to take precautions during periods of intense rain. Meanwhile, Delhi continued to experience a humid day with a "feels like" temperature of 44.8 degrees Celsius on Tuesday afternoon. Experts believe that the city will receive only light or very light rain, with the possibility of moderate showers in isolated areas over the next 2-3 days.

Bengaluru expected to see more rain, strong winds
Bengaluru: After a lull, southwest monsoon regained momentum over parts of coastal and south-interior Karnataka. India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued a forecast of widespread rain till Sunday in Bengaluru and adjoining districts. Senior IMD officials attributed cloudy skies and rain to upper air cyclonic circulation over Bay of Bengal. "The system, off the coast of Tamil Nadu over southwest bay and extending up to Rayalaseema and adjoining areas, will bring in a fair amount of rain over south-interior Karnataka. While rain will be intermittent, cloudy conditions will prevail through the day," said CS Patil, scientist at IMD, Bengaluru. N Puviyarasan, scientist and head of IMD, Bengaluru, said the city is likely to receive moderate rain and thundershowers with gusty winds at a speed of 30 to 40 km/hour over the next two to three days. Maximum and minimum temperatures will range between 29 and 20 degrees Celsius.
