Brooke Hogan References ‘Childhood Trauma,' Spotting ‘Snake in the Grass' in Social Media Post

Brooke Hogan used actor Cillian Murphy to illustrate how her past continues to influence her present state of mind. Hogan, 37, took to her Instagram Story on Tuesday, August 19, to share a video compilation of Murphy, 49, glaring at people with judgment in his eyes. 'When childhood trauma taught you to spot the snake in the grass before anyone else,' the video was captioned. The post came nearly a month after the death of Brooke's father, legendary professional wrestler Hulk Hogan. Brooke Hogan Slams Speculation She Loves the Spotlight After Dad Hulk's Death: 'You People Are Sick' Hulk died on July 24 after suffering cardiac arrest at his home in Clearwater, Florida. His cause of death was later ruled to be a heart attack. He was 71 years old. Brooke also posted a list of 'Things You Should Not Share With Your Kids' via her Instagram Story on Tuesday. The list included things like 'details of your marital conflicts,' 'negative opinions about family members,' 'criticism about their other parent' and 'unfiltered emotional outbursts.' Brooke and her husband, former NHL player Steven Oleksy, welcomed twins, Oliver and Molly, in January. Since Hulk's death, Brooke has been open about discussing their estrangement in the years leading up to his passing. In a post shared via Instagram on July 28, Brooke said her relationship with Hulk became filled with 'respectful disagreements that took an emotional toll' on her after she and Oleksy, 39, relocated to Florida to assist him with his ongoing health issues. 'All of a sudden he didn't want me at surgeries,' Brooke explained. 'Everything started getting covered in a thick veil. It was like there was a force field around him that I couldn't get through.' Brooke has also been estranged from her mother, Linda Hogan, for years. Linda and her son, Nick, whom she shared with Hulk, were both present at a memorial service for Hulk on August 5. After declining an invitation, Brooke explained her reasoning on social media. 'My father hated the morbidity of funerals,' she wrote via Instagram on the day of the memorial service. 'He didn't want one. And although I know people grieve in many ways – and I'm so grateful for all celebrations and events organized to honor him, as his daughter, I had to make my own decision to honor him the best and most genuine way I knew how…privately…the way that made me feel the closest to him.' Brooke Hogan Offers to Pay for Autopsy on Late Father Hulk Hogan Amid 'Questions' About His Death Instead, Brooke, her husband and their twins had a beach day in honor of her late father. 'The only thing missing today was him in is pop up lawn chair watching the waves… and the sunset 💔,' Brooke wrote. Brooke has also attempted to clear the air about perceived beef between herself and Sky Daily, Hulk's wife at the time of his death. 'I have said in EVERY interview that she was always nice to me,' Brooke posted via her Instagram Story on August 7. 'Me and her don't have beef as far as I know.' Solve the daily Crossword

Hulk Hogan's daughter Brooke claims police video will ‘change narrative' around WWE star's death

Hulk Hogan's estranged daughter believes the tale of the tape could possibly 'change the narrative' surrounding the startling death of the WWE icon last month. In a series of Instagram Stories shared Wednesday, Brooke Hogan laid out 'all' she knows regarding the circumstances of Hogan's death, alleging medical and police professionals have encouraged that she 'need[s] to get a hold of' 911 tapes and body cam footage from the date of his passing 'because they supposedly contain information that could potenitally shed enough light to change the narrative' circulated. 'Here's ALL I KNOW. So stop speculating, stop asking. I have also informed my brother [Nick Hogan] of all of this information who is boots on the ground with everything,' Brooke, 37, began in one slide. 7 Brooke Hogan with her late father, Hulk Hogan. mizzhogan/Instagram 7 Brooke Hogan posted a series of Instagram Stories in August 2025 centered on her father's passing. Instagram/mizzhogan 'FACT: I've 100% gotten legit calls from professionals — from police officials to nurses that were supposedly with my dad on the day of his death telling ME I need to see body cam footage and I need to get a hold of the 911 tapes because they supposedly contain information that could potentially shed enough light to change the narrative we/I/everyone's been hearing. 'Those same professionals feel so passionately about what they witnessed, they have continued to contact me and push me to find specific answers to this very day. They are quite literally putting their careers at risk because they feel so compelled to do the right thing.' According to the Pinellas County Forensic Science Center records obtained by Page Six in late July, Hogan died of a heart attack. He also had a history of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), a cancer that affects white blood cells. Brooke, who hadn't spoken to her late father in two years, said in Wednesday's post that the matter is 'all up to' Hogan's wife, Sky Daily, whom he married in 2023. 7 Hulk Hogan married Sky Daily in 2023. Getty Images 'I have zero control. I can not do anything, my hands are tied, and I have no say in anything regarding my dad — even as his daughter. Those are the rules I've been told,' she said. Daily said earlier this month that Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, had not yet been cremated — something Brooke addressed in a separate Instagram Story Wednesday. 'I do not have any information on if or when he is being cremated. Could have been right after he died, could be tomorrow. I do not know,' she wrote. 'I have been told by my brother there will be an autopsy. I do not know who will be performing the autopsy. Any information I receive from an autopsy — if one happens — whether I believe it or not. I will be keeping private out of respect for my father. 7 Brooke Hogan laid out 'all' she knows regarding her father's death in July 2025. Instagram/mizzhogan 7 She also urged fro speculation on the matter to cease. Instagram/mizzhogan 'I do not have answers as to if the officials who contacted me about what they witnessed relayed this information to the medical examiner's office. And if they did, I do not know why it wasn't taken into consideration.' Brooke added body cam footage and the 911 calls are 'not available' due to the Freedom of Information Act, and that her 'hands are tied.' 'Do I question his general physical signing off on his death certificate, given his background which is available for anyone to see via a simple Google search? You can answer that one for yourself,' she wrote. 7 Brooke Hogan and her father, Hulk Hogan, had been estranged in recent years. MediaPunch/Shutterstock 'I have to trust that my brother is doing his best to get answers. At the end of the day, answers would be great, but none of it brings my dad back. And my hands are tied.' Brooke urged the speculation to cease as she and her loved ones 'are already dealing with enough.' 'I will not be talking about this 'mystery' any more,' she said. Brooke previously revealed that she asked to be removed from her father's will and offered to pay for an autopsy. She did not attend Hogan's funeral, instead choosing to honor him privately with her husband, former NHL defenseman Steven Olesky, and their infant twins.
