The internet wasn't done with memes linking Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to 'Rosesh Sarabhai' when politician Priyanka Chaturvedi mimicked Pakistan's former foreign minister in Belgium, unleashing another round of laughter.
Mimicking Zardari's tone, the Shiv Sena (UBT) Rajya Sabha MP repeated, 'Koun raat ke andhere mein hamle karte hai? Buzdil raat ke andhere mein hamla karte hai" (Who attacks in the dark? Cowards do).
Chaturvedi added that in context to Zardari's speech after India's Operation Sindoor, she'd like to explain what 'buzdil" means. '…buzdil (coward) means — those who stage coups against elected governments, jail political leaders, and murder an elected prime minister to install an army general in power," she said.
The parliamentarian further stated that the same army general who assumed power initiated radicalization in Pakistan, undermining the constitution and destroying Jinnah's vision.
She also ridiculed the Pakistani delegation, noting that Pakistan has been trailing India even after more than 70 years since their separation.
'A delegation is coming after us, and you all know which one that is. They have been chasing us and refuse to let go. We left them in 1947, but they haven't stopped following us," she said.
'They'll be arriving in a few days. The person leading this delegation… I say all this only to put in context what India stands for, what we need to expose, and why we are here," Chaturvedi added.
Interestingly, Pakistan delegation's arrival in the United States did not go down well with some of the politicians.
Pakistan Delegation Gets Earful In US
US Congressman Brad Sherman advised a Pakistani delegation led by Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Thursday to make every effort to eliminate the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad from the region and protect religious minorities in their country.
In a social media post on X, Sherman highlighted the importance of combating terrorism, specifically mentioning Jaish-e-Mohammad, responsible for the 2002 murder of Daniel Pearl.
Sherman emphasized to the delegation the critical need to address terrorism, pointing out that Pearl's family still resides in his district. He urged Pakistan to do everything possible to eliminate this dangerous group and fight terrorism in the area.
In January 2002, Daniel was abducted by jihadi terrorists while on his way to meet Pakistani religious cleric Mubarak Ali Gilani in Karachi for what he believed would be an interview.

Last month, Zardari addressed the Pakistani Assembly regarding India's Operation Sindoor, which involved a targeted overnight military strike on terror infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK). These strikes were a response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that resulted in the deaths of 26 people, primarily tourists.
Zardari intended to question India over Operation Sindoor with his 'Kon raat ke andhere me hamle karte hai…" speech. The address may have found resonance in Pakistan considering the tension with India, but for fans of Indian sitcoms of early 2000s, the speech was a fodder for memes.
The speech itself may not be considered a powerful one. It was Zardari's tone, voice modulation, and exaggerated delivery style that fans thought was similar to 'Rosesh Sarabhai' from the popular show 'Sarabhai vs Sarabhai'. This then ignited a trail of memes, videos and 'ROFL' comments.
Actor Rajesh Kumar, known for his iconic role as Rosesh Sarabhai, too jumped into the trend 'on public demand".

Jaishankar will engage also with the senior leadership from the European Commission and the European Parliament, besides interacting with think tank and media. In the third and final leg of his visit, the external affairs minister will hold wide-ranging talks with leaders of Belgium. 'India and Belgium share warm and friendly relations along with a very robust economic partnership. Today, the collaboration between the two countries spans various domains like trade and investment, green energy, technology, pharmaceutical, diamond sector and strong people-to-people ties,' the MEA said. It said Jaishankar would hold bilateral consultations with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Belgium Maxime Prevot and would also meet the senior leadership of the country.
