Amazon Prime adds 'addictive' TV drama that viewers can't stop watching
Yes, why not escape the bad weather by taking a trip to the bright lights of Beverly Hills, because all five seasons of 90210 are now available to stream on Prime Video.
Based on the classic 90s series, Beverly Hills, 90210, this pulpy drama tracks the trials and tribulations of Annie (Shenae Grimes) and Dixon (Tristan Wilds) Wilson, who recently moved to the luxurious postcode with their parents.
As the siblings head to their prestigious new school, West Beverly Hills High, the pair quickly befriend a group of uber-rich teens and shenanigans ensue.
While it would be generous to call the show beloved – a quick glimpse at it 43% on Rotten Tomatoes proves that – the show maintained a dedicated fanbase.
Indeed, its trashy plots and sensationalised stories meant 90210 was many a critic's guilty pleasure back in the day.
Brian Tallerico of HollywoodChicago.com, wrote as much in his review.
'Much to my surprise, I found 90210 to be a satisfactory guilty pleasure,' he claimed. 'A sun-soaked diversion that's a great alternative for when you want to zone out after a long day at work or school.'
Alan Sepinwall was also enthusiastic about the show, writing in his Newark Star-Ledger review that it was 'remarkably faithful in tone and spirit to the original adventures of Brandon, Brenda, Scott Scanlon and company.'
Of course, general audiences were much kinder to the show than critics.
On a rather glowing Google review, Vanisha Arjune claimed the show was addictive.
'This show is so amazing,' she wrote. 'I am literally addicted, I can't stop watching. When I first started watching, I wasn't sure how it would go, but now I don't regret it.' More Trending
Ace Lezotte felt similarly, awarding the series five stars and writing, 'love this one of my fave series binged it so many times.'
Nimue Hoffmeester wrote perhaps the most glowing review, claiming '90210 is one of those shows – you know, the ones you can watch over and over and over again, without growing to dislike it.'
'I recommended the show to all my friends and it would constantly be playing in the background while I studied,' they continued. I hate to admit it – I am obsessed.'
All five seasons of 90210 are now streaming on Prime Video.

The reclassification was revealed in the BBFC's 2024 annual report, which said the 1999 film's starship dogfights, use of laser weapons, and the battle, which shows brief 'bloody detail' and a 'non-graphic' shot of a villain's dissected body, had led to it being labelled PG for its cinema re-release last year. PG means the film should not unsettle a child aged eight or above, but some scenes may be unsuitable for more sensitive children, while U means a movie is suitable to all. The phrase 'son of a bitch' and drug references saw US TV comedy series Fraser go from a PG to a 12, over a change in the guidelines for classification, while both The Crow (1995) and Fight Club (1999) saw their classifications lowered from 18 to 15 because of the updated guidelines. It comes as last year saw the BBFC classify the highest number of films in its 112-year history, with new guidelines regarding the classification of sex scenes at the 12/15 border, violence across the categories, and certain depictions of drug misuse. Natasha Kaplinsky, president of the BBFC, said: '2024 was the BBFC's 112th year of helping people across the UK view what's right for them – and what a remarkable year it was. 'We classified more cinema features than ever before, and we have made significant progress towards extending the coverage of trusted BBFC age ratings on streaming services through new deals with Prime Video and Netflix. 'We launched our revised Classification Guidelines – ensuring that the standards we apply when classifying content continue to reflect the views of UK audiences. 'Perhaps most exciting of all, we have continued our pioneering work with AI, ensuring that the BBFC remains at the forefront of film and digital content regulation. It has been a genuine privilege to lead the organisation at such an exciting and transformative time.'

Viewers binge 'much-watch' period drama in 'one day'
Fans claim the limited series 'makes for a good couch binge' Disney+ viewers have been hooked by a new period drama hailed as a 'must watch'. Sterling K Brown's Washington Black landed on the streamer on July 23 and has already received overwhelming praise. Set in 19th Century Barbados the eight-part series follows an 11-year-old boy named George Washington 'Wash' Black (portrayed by Ernest Kingsley Jr). After witnessing a gruesome death, George is forced to flee his home on a sugar plantation, leading him on a wild adventure around the globe. Based on Esi Edugyan's novel of the same name, the limited series sees George taken under the wing of Medwin Harris (played by Brown), who similarly had a traumatic upbringing in Nova Scotia. The cast also features Lucifer star Tom Ellis in the role of George's companion Christopher 'Titch' Wilde. At its core, the drama delves into hefty themes such as the quest for freedom in the midst of slavery.
