When contacted, police said they were alerted to the accident involving a car at about 8.20am that day . The car is believed to have skidded and the car driver left the scene before the police arrived. No injuries were reported and the Singapore Civil Defence Force said its assistance was not required. Police investigations are ongoing. A photo of the accident's aftermath show s a heavily damaged white car stationary and askew in the middle of a three-lane road. Most of the car's front bumper is crushed, with parts of it having fallen off. According to Chinese -language media outlet Lianhe Zaobao, a nearby tree and road divider also appeared to have sustained damage during the crash.
