Australian influencer reveals EXPLOSIVE near-death sauna experience: 'It was a horror movie!'

A tranquil escape turned to horror for Dominique Elissa, who has opened up about a shocking ordeal that nearly claimed her life. The influencer, 30, shared a video to TikTok this week to reveal that she narrowly escaped death after a shocking backyard accident. Dominique revealed that she was staying at a house 30 minutes from Byron Bay where she was to host a wellness retreat the following day. However, her idyllic getaway was shattered when a sauna on the property, that she was 'minutes' away from stepping into, exploded. 'I didn't think i was going to talk about this, but I had the most crazy, traumatising near death experience the other night,' Dominique explained. 'I was away, 30 minutes out of Byron...I had put the sauna on to have a sauna - I was in it the night before.' Dominique went on to explain that she had turned the sauna on to heat up before cooking dinner, planning to step in after she ate. 'I finish eating dinner and I'm about to put my swimmers on to go in the sauna, and I hear "boom",' she said. 'I look up and the entire sauna exploded.' Dominique added that the explosion rose '10 to 15 metres' into the air, and caused a power outage in her remote accommodation. 'My phone was about to die and I had no reception,' she said. 'I am screaming, "Help! Somebody help me!" It was a horror movie.' Dominique was eventually able to dial 000, however, emergency services were unable to save the sauna. 'The whole sauna burnt to the ground,' she said. 'It was the most horrific thing to experience because I was a few minutes from going into that sauna.' 'I'm so grateful to be alive, so grateful to be here.' Dominique's ordeal was met with a flurry of comments from her 73,000 TikTok followers. 'This is straight out of a Final Destination movie, one follower offered, while another added a similar: 'new fear unlocked.' Others claimed that Dominique's mother, Odile Faludi, who passed away in March after battling stage four cancer, was watching over her. 'Omg Dom !! Life is so precious, your mum was there watching over you,' one follower commented, summing up the sentiment of many. Dominique's ordeal comes after she tied the knot with husband Tom Bull on March 7. The pair were married at Prince of Wales Hospital on March 7, just two weeks after getting engaged, so the bride could have the honour of having her ill mother walk her down the aisle. She revealed on Instagram she was initially 'upset, angry and a mess' when she received the news, but decided she would stop at nothing to have her mother walk her down the aisle. 'My mum has always been my greatest inspiration, fighting with grace, always saying that negativity is worse than cancer.'

Where is Julian McMahon now? He is one of Australia's most famous heartthrobs but Dannii Minogue's ex is now unrecognisable and has a VERY different accent

He's the ex-pat Aussie actor who rose to fame Down Under on iconic soap Home and Away. He headed Stateside in the '90s to star in long-running NBC soap Another World and has remained there ever since. Never far from the camera, he has a formidable list of small and big screen credits, picking up a Golden Globe best actor nomination in 2004. He's played everything from a playboy plastic surgeon to nefarious superhero villain. He also has quite the pedigree outside of acting, being the son of a former Australian Prime Minister. So, just what is Julian McMahon up to now? From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the DailyMail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. These days, Julian, 56, is still very active in acting scene. He set to make an anticipated return to Aussie screens, starring alongside Nicholas Cage in the upcoming Stan original film The Surfer. The hunky star has been busy promoting the film, most recently seen on the red carpet for the Surfer's SXSW premiere in March. He showed off a dramatic transformation at the event after ditching his longer locks in favour for a shorn haircut and a moustache and goatee. It's a far cry from his appearance at the film's Cannes premiere back in May last year, when he still had his signature clean-cut aesthetic and deep tan. Aside from his upcoming turn in the Surfer, Julian has also been busy shooting the upcoming film The Supremes At Earl's All You Can Eat, starring alongside the likes of Uzo Aduba (Orange Is The New Black), and Mekhi Phifer (8 Mile). Meanwhile, fans of police drama will be well aware that Julian also starred as Special Agent Jess LaCroix on the Dick Wolf-created series FBI, as well as its spin-offs FBI: Most Wanted and FBI: International. Julian is perhaps best known for his bravura turn in the long-running Ryan Murphy medical drama, Nip/Tuck. He starred alongside Dylan Walsh, playing Miami-based plastic surgeon Christian Troy. Troy was certainly not shy about falling into bed with his female clients, with Walsh's Sean McNamara often having to step in to deal with Christian's mistakes. His turn as the lothario doctor earned Julian a Golden Globe best actor nomination in 2004, losing out to Ian McShane. Prior to Nip/Tuck, Julian starred alongside Shannen Doherty and Alyssa Milano on the cult Arron Spelling-created magical drama, Charmed. He played Cole Turner, the half demon ex husband of Alyssa's character Phoebe Halliwell. During his time on Charmed, Julian was also romantically linked to Doherty, with the pair dating briefly during the show's third season in 2000-2001. Speaking of the relationship front, Julian is still married to model and author Kelly Paniagua after the pair tied the knot in 2014. They had been together for 11 years before marrying in a romantic ceremony in Lake Tahoe, a lakeside area on the edge of California and Nevada. He was previously married to Baywatch actress Brooke Burns with whom he shares daughter Madison, 25. The pair were tied the knot in 1999, before calling it quits three years later. He was also married to Australian actress and singer Dannii Minogue, after the pair fell in love on the set of Home and Away in which Julian played fan favourite Ben Lucini. They were wed in 1994, but the union proved short-lived, with the couple splitting just a year and a half later. Julian is the son of former Australian Prime Minister William McMahon, and Dannii previously revealed a difficult relationship with Julian's mother Lady Sonia McMahon contributed to the split. 'There was no relationship, she wouldn't speak to me,' Dannii told Seven in 2019. 'I wasn't allowed to be near her in the house, she said she wasn't coming to the wedding. We just had no idea how to handle it - we were just trying to.' Julian went on to star alongside Dannii's sister Kylie Miniogue in the 2018 film Swinging Safari. Speaking about the film at the 2016 GQ Men Of The Year awards, he quickly dodged the question of what it was like working with his former sister-in-law. He was also married to Australian actress and singer Dannii Minogue (also pictured) after the pair fell in love on the set of Home and Away. They were wed in 1994, but the union proved short-lived, with the couple calling it quits just a year and a half later Julian was all too happy to discuss the film, however when talk turned to his ex-wife's sister, he quickly moved things along. He mentioned every other star featured in the film, failing to bring Kylie's name up at all. Making things even more awkward was the fact that his current wife Kelly was standing right beside him. Sadly evident for Australian fans in the 2016 clip, Julian has well and truly lost his Aussie accent in favour of an American lilt.

EXCLUSIVE Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher confirm they have finalised their £120million divorce - one year after announcing their split

They announced their surprise separation 14 months ago in typically quirky manner, both dressed in tennis whites. And now it really is over - game, set and match - as actors Sacha Baron Cohen and Isla Fisher have announced they have finalised their £120million divorce. In a message, posted simultaneously on both their Instagram sites on Friday evening (13.06), the pair said: 'Our divorce has now been finalised. 'We are proud of all we've achieved together and, continuing our great respect for each other, we remain friends and committed to co-parenting our wonderful children. We ask for the media to continue to respect our children's privacy.' Baron Cohen, 53, and Fisher, 49, first met in 2001 and married in 2010. They were believed to have one of the strongest marriages in showbusiness - before quietly separating in 2023. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. They then publicly announced their break-up in April 2024, and it now appears they have amicably resolved any differences there might have been between the pair. A source said: 'It's all sorted. Now Sacha and Isla both just want to get on with the rest of their lives – and focus on their family's well-being.' The couple - who have three children together - first met at a party in Sydney, Australia, in 2001. Speaking of their first encounter, Baron Cohen recalled quickly noticing that Fisher was 'hilarious'. He remembered: 'We were at a very pretentious party, and me and her bonded over taking the mick out of the other people at the party. I knew instantly. I don't know if she did.' The pair announced their separation last year with a picture of themselves wearing tennis whites. They confirmed in an accompanying message: 'After a long tennis match lasting over 20 years, we are finally putting our racquets down. 'We have always prioritized our privacy and have been quietly working through this change. 'We forever share in our devotion and love for our children. We sincerely appreciate your respecting our family's wish for privacy.' Baron Cohen also became embroiled in controversy last year when Australian actress Rebel Wilson accused him of inappropriate behaviour during filming of the 2016 film The Brothers Grimsby, where they played a slovenly married couple. However, the publisher had not fact-checked them in advance – and her claims lacked substance. Baron Cohen's legal team then supplied video footage of one scene in question, plus email exchanges, script excerpts and testimony from producers and crew members, which illustrated that the scenes were actually all part of the script. As a result, the unfounded claims were removed wholesale from the autobiography in the UK, Australia and New Zealand. In a statement at the time, Baron Cohen said: 'While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby.' Baron Cohen first rose to fame in the 1990s with his Ali G character, the infamous spoof wannabe gangster who became a comedy star. He also starred as Borat, a journalist from Kazakhstan, and played the role of flamboyant Austrian fashionista Bruno. Fellow actor Fisher appeared as Shannon Reed in long-running Australian soap Home and Away before moving to the big screen. Her breakthrough role came in Wedding Crashers in 2005, and she also starred in Confessions of a Shopaholic. She has also had a series of children's books published. Speaking earlier this year of their break-up, Fisher said: 'It's the most difficult thing that I've been through and I've learnt so much about myself in the process. 'I never imagined my family being separated but we are committed and loving parents.' Any suggestion that the timing of the separation may have been linked to Wilson's unfounded claims was also wrong – in fact Baron Cohen and Fisher had separated long before Wilson's book was published. A film source said: 'The idea Rebel's claims had anything to do with the timing of the separation or announcement of Sacha and Isla's break-up was always plain wrong.'
