Net Loss of Vadilal Enterprises reported to Rs 8.76 crore in the quarter ended March 2025 as against net loss of Rs 8.71 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2024. Sales rose 18.77% to Rs 223.79 crore in the quarter ended March 2025 as against Rs 188.42 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2024.
For the full year,net profit declined 23.70% to Rs 5.73 crore in the year ended March 2025 as against Rs 7.51 crore during the previous year ended March 2024. Sales rose 12.01% to Rs 1119.12 crore in the year ended March 2025 as against Rs 999.14 crore during the previous year ended March 2024.

BSNL launches triple play service

Vijayawada: Chief General Manager Telecom (CGMT) M Seshachalam announced here on Thursday that the BSNL introduced the most affordable triple play service at just Rs.400 a month. Speaking to the media on Thursday the CGM said there is high speed internet, 400 plus TV channels and nine OTTs and unlimited voice calls in a single plan. On the occasion of Independence Day, the state-owned telecom giant BSNL has introduced the new triple play plan for customers offering internet, TV and telephone services at most affordable places. He said ETV, MAA TV, Gemini TV, Zee TV and many more are available. He disclosed that the plan is available across cities, towns and villages in AP Circle. He said the customers can subscribe by sending a 'HI' message to WhatsApp No 1800 4444 to register or contact BSNL customer service centre.

6G Roadmap: India sets up 100 5G labs for capacity building

New Delhi: The Union government has established 100 5G labs at academic institutions across India for capacity building and for creating a 6G-ready academic and startup ecosystem in the country, Parliament was informed on Thursday. Under the initiatives that have been taken to facilitate the development of 6G technology in the country, the Telecom Technology Development Fund (TTDF) Scheme was launched on October 1, 2022, Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development, Dr Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, said in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha. The scheme aims to fund research and development (R&D) and innovation in telecom technologies, including 6G, fostering collaboration between academia, start-ups, MSMEs, research institutes and industry to enhance the telecom ecosystem in India. A total of 104 projects related to 6G technology, amounting to Rs. 275.88 crore, have been approved under the TTDF scheme till July 2025, the Minister stated. According to the minister, the government has facilitated the setting up of 'Bharat 6G Alliance', which is an alliance of domestic industry, academia, national research institutions and standards organisations to develop an action plan according to the Bharat 6G Vision.

Last Updated: In Kolkata, PM Modi will inaugurate a 13.61 km stretch of the Kolkata Metro network, and flag off the Noapara–Jai Hind Bimanbandar Metro service from Jessore Road Metro Station. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to launch several projects in West Bengal and Bihar on Friday, including metro rail projects in Kolkata and several infrastructure works in Gaya, giving a boost to connectivity, travel, and development in the regions. Here's what his day will look like: PM Modi's visit will begin at 4:15 PM at Jessore Road Metro Station. During this time, he will flag off the metro trains operating between Naopara and Jai Hind Bimanbandar Metro Station. Following the flag-off ceremony, the prime minister is scheduled to take a metro ride on the newly inaugurated route and return. At 4:45 PM, the Prime Minister will arrive at the Central Jail Ground in Dumdum, where he will inaugurate multiple development projects for the state of West Bengal. These projects are aimed at boosting infrastructure and improving civic amenities in the region. At 5:30 PM, PM Modi will address a public meeting at the same venue, the Central Jail Ground, Dumdum, where he is expected to speak on various developmental initiatives and engage with the public. PM Modi's Bihar Visit PM Modi will inaugurate the Aunta–Simaria Bridge (Rs 1,870 crore) to reduce detours and ease traffic. He will launch NH-31 upgrades (Bakhtiyarpur–Mokama, Rs 1,900 crore) for smoother travel. He will inaugurate the Buxar Thermal Power Plant (Rs 6,880 crore) adding 660 MW capacity. He will open the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital in Muzaffarpur for advanced cancer care. He will launch Namami Gange sewage treatment projects to clean the Ganga. He will flag off the Amrit Bharat Express (Gaya–Delhi) and Buddhist Circuit Train (Vaishali–Koderma).
