Travis Hunter's Wife Leanna Lenee Breaks Down in Tears in Shower Video: 'I Don't Even Recognize This Girl Anymore'
From Fairy Tale to Firestorm
Lenee and Hunter, who were introduced years earlier and have been together ever since their freshman years in college, had all the more reason to celebrate in 2024. Hunter was only the second University of Colorado player in school history to capture the Heisman Trophy. Subsequently, he was taken with the second overall pick in the NFL Draft by the Jacksonville Jaguars. The pair capped off their record-breaking year by marrying in a glittering Tennessee ceremony in front of friends, family, and fans.
But beneath the congratulatory headlines there lay a bitter undertone of contempt, much of it directed at Lenee.
Throughout the 2024 college football season, Lenee was at the center of cruel online speculation. Accusations of 'gold digging,' 'fame chasing,' and conscious social climbing dominated comment sections, with critics dissecting every public action and conversation she had. Even after the couple's many years together, many internet trolls were reluctant to believe that her affections were genuine.
'I Don't Even Recognize This Girl Anymore'
In the latest TikTok video, Lenee comes out of the shower, obviously distressed and in tears. A distant background church sermon gives the scene spiritual seriousness. She does not speak a word in the video, but her caption gives a powerful insight into the inner transformation she has undergone:
'I wish I could go back and hug December me, because oh baby, God was about to change your heart in the most important and beautiful way,' she wrote.
'I don't even recognize this girl anymore. The amount you can grow and develop in just 6 months of devoting your life to Jesus and getting away from the shackles of the world and social media is truly astounding.
'I wish the peace I found within Jesus on everyone who reads this. Your identity in him matters, not how people choose to perceive you.'
The post struck a chord with fans and followers who have watched Lenee suffer cyberbullying for over a year.
The Heisman Backlash
One of the worst moments was during Hunter's Heisman Trophy acceptance. When Hunter's name was announced, his mother and Colorado State coach Deion Sanders immediately stood up to congratulate Hunter. Lenee sat down initially. She stood up momentarily to hug Hunter after Sanders pushed her, then quietly settled back into her seat.
The internet pounced on it, interpreting the moment as an affront. Conspiracy-laden threads flooded social media. Was she angry? Was she bitter? Did she think he wasn't deserving of it? She could have felt whatever, but cold and calculating.
Lenee retaliated by sharing an eight-minute video defending herself and attempting to explain the moment that was misinterpreted. But the narrative had already taken off at this stage, fueled by clickbait websites and fanbase theories.
'She Cried Herself to Sleep'
Travis Hunter, ever ready to defend his wife, addressed the incident openly in a Twitch stream following the Heisman ceremony.
'She's still sleeping, she's slumped,' Hunter told viewers. 'You know when you're hurt but you just cry yourself to sleep and you just be gone? She drunk [sic], like, an OD amount tonight for no reason.'
He then issued a stern threat to the individuals assaulting his wife:
'Clickbait pages stop, y'all better stop I'm telling y'all. Something bad is gonna happen to y'all [if you] keep doing that. Y'all better stop that. I ain't playing.'
'Y'all hate on me then you go hate on my girl. I feel the same thing that she feels. We're inseparable. We're with each other. If she's hurting, I'm hurting.'
A Test of Faith and Fortitude
Aside from the headlines and incensed rants, what Lenee has endured is a ubiquitous but sometimes subtle reality of social media existence, wherein private milestones are critiqued by millions and public affection can be distorted into suspicion.
Her recent TikTok is not just an exercise in vulnerability; it's a declaration of healing. A turning away from strangers' validation and toward something more embedded in faith and self-acceptance.
For now, at least, the pair seem focused on each other and their Jacksonville future. But Lenee's video recalls the cost of human meanness on the internet and an act of quiet resistance strength.
'Your identity in Him matters,' she wrote. 'Not how people choose to perceive you.'
And within that quiet strength, perhaps Lenee found the better path to reclaiming her voice.

Iconic '90s Band Shares Never-Before-Seen Footage of Late Lead Singer and Everyone's in Tears
Iconic '90s Band Shares Never-Before-Seen Footage of Late Lead Singer and Everyone's in Tears originally appeared on Parade. Although it has been over five years since Dolores O'Riordan passed away, the impact that The Cranberries' lead singer had on music is still felt today. As the principal songwriter for the beloved '90s alternative rock band, O'Riordan delivered her passionate lyrics with one of the most recognizable voices of the decade. Ahead of the band celebrating a major milestone, fans are revisiting just how powerful a voice she was. The surviving members of The Cranberries will soon release a 30th anniversary edition of their landmark second album, No Need To Argue, on Aug. 15. In the lead-up to its release, the band has shared some never-before-seen, behind-the-scenes footage from that time, including rare footage of the "Zombie" video shoot in 1994. In the TikTok posted on July 22, the band—O'Riordan, guitarist Noel Hogan, bassist Mike Hogan and drummer Fergal Lawler—perform "Zombie" in the ruins of a building as Dolores delivers the now-iconic chorus. Although the song is three decades old, it can still move the hearts of listeners. "I still remember the first time I heard this song as a teen. I was floored by Dolores's power and emotion. She was so inspiring," commented one fan on TikTok. "I miss her unique voice," said another. The following day, The Cranberries posted a clip showing different angles to the "Ode to My Family" video, footage they said contained "unseen moments until now." The tender track opens with "No Need To Argue," and TikTok explained that O'Riordan wrote it to remind people that "rockstars are human people who love their parents." "[This song] always makes me cry," wrote one fan. "Thank you for the soundtrack of my youth," commented another. Many said that they still miss O'Riordan, who in 2018 at age 46, died due to accidental drowning. Fans can purchase the 30th anniversary edition of No Need To Argue in three formats: a three-LP edition, a 2-LP/2-CD edition, or a single album/CD version. The special 3-LP edition will contain a previously unreleased demo of "Zombie," live recordings from the band's set at Woodstock '94, and their 1995 episode of MTV '90s Band Shares Never-Before-Seen Footage of Late Lead Singer and Everyone's in Tears first appeared on Parade on Jul 24, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jul 24, 2025, where it first appeared.

Kyra Sedgwick's Signature Dish Is So Relatable (and Approved By Kevin Bacon)
Kyra Sedgwick's Signature Dish Is So Relatable (and Approved By Kevin Bacon) originally appeared on Parade. Over the years, Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick, who fell in love on set while filming the 1988 movie Lemon Sky, have made it clear that food is one of their love languages. If you actively follow Bacon on social media, you'll know that the Footloose actor is an avid home cook and you've probably seen him cooking for Sedgwick. When she was coming home from being on the road, Bacon shot a video of himself prepping her a mostly vegetarian bolognese pasta. Bacon told PEOPLE Magazine that on Sunday mornings, he makes his signature 3-ingredient banana pancakes while Sedgwick is still sleeping. Related: And now, just in time for Bacon's birthday (June 8th), the Hollywood couple has shared a closer look into what Sedgwick likes to make when it's her night to cook. And judging by Bacon's bold proclamation, the dish very much has his stamp of approval. "My wife is making her signature dish, pantry pasta, and you better tell her it looks good," Bacon says as he stares directly into the camera in a recent TikTok video. (This intensely supportive partner bit is a new-ish TikTok trend.) The camera moves over to Sedgwick, who explains the main components of her pasta. "It's got olives and capers and tomatoes and tuna," she says. That combination of ingredients is guaranteed to be something good, so if you're looking for a nice and easy dinner for you and your honey, you might want to try Sedgwick's pantry pasta. Related: 😋😋 SIGN UP to get delicious recipes, handy kitchen hacks & more in our daily Pop Kitchen newsletter. 🍳🍔 What is Kyra Sedgwick's Pantry Pasta? She doesn't call it out as such, but based on Sedgwick's description, her pantry pasta is most likely a variation on pasta alla puttanesca, a classic Neopolitan pasta dish flavored with garlic, anchovies, capers, olives and tomatoes. Classic puttanesca pasta is savory and tangy, hearty but still light. The best part? It can be prepared completely without any ingredients from the fridge. According to New York Times food writer Mark Bittman, "There are almost as many explanations for the origins of pasta puttanesca as there are ways to make it." And in Segwick's case, it seems that she skips the anchovies and adds tuna. Related: When Bacon calls, the people answer, and boy did people flood the comments, per his request. "Hell, yeah there's nothing better than pantry pasta," wrote one commenter. "I don't like olives, but I'm kinda afraid of Kevin, so that looks delicious," said another. Finally, another fan posed the all-important question to the couple: "It looks great Kyra. When do we eat??!!" Related: It would be great if Bacon and Sedgwick opened up a pop-up, but don't worry if that doesn't happen. Pasta alla puttanesca is deceptively easy to make. All you have to do is cook garlic and anchovies (or tuna) in olive oil until the garlic turns golden. Add crushed canned tomatoes, season with salt and pepper and cook until you have a chunky sauce. Stir in olives and capers (plus some red chili flakes, if you'd like). Cook your favorite pasta according to package directions. Drain the pasta and transfer it to the pan with the sauce (don't do what Sedgwick did and spill half of the pasta on the stove). Toss to marry the noodles and sauce together, like a happy couple, then serve it Sedgwick's Signature Dish Is So Relatable (and Approved By Kevin Bacon) first appeared on Parade on Jul 8, 2025 This story was originally reported by Parade on Jul 8, 2025, where it first appeared. Disney fans can have a fairytale wedding ceremony at one of these three new venues — before the park even opens
A wedding dream is a wish your heart makes. Disneyland in Anaheim, California, just unveiled three new dreamy venues for Disney fans to say their 'I Do's' at. In honor of Disneyland's 70th celebration — which kicked off with festivities back in May and is continuing through next summer — the happiest place on earth just added three new wedding venues for Disney fans to choose from to tie the knot. There are reportedly 100 different wedding venues across Disney properties — and 13 of them are in Disneyland. The new additions include Magnolia Park Gazebo, which is in New Orleans Square right in front of the French restaurant, Tiana's Palace. This space can accommodate up to 30 guests 4 The Magnolia Park Gazebo venue. For those eyeing the Magnolia Park Terrace space — keep in mind that the Haunted Mansion ride will be closing August 11 and will reportedly reopen on August 22. Before you fret, the beloved attraction is only temporarily closing to undergo a Halloween makeover. 'Walt Disney – A Magical Life' is Disneyland's latest exhibit created to celebrate the life and legacy of Walt Disney — with what some are describing as a creepy 16-minute-long life-size show. Disney fans seem to appreciate paying homage to the franchise's founder — however, they aren't too fond of his appearance. 4 Disneyland is celebrating its 70th anniversary. satur73 – When the news of the exhibit was announced on July 14 on the Disney Parks Instagram page — people ran to the comment section to share their opinions. 'Once again, this has been the Disney motto as of recent — how much money can we get out of it, and how quickly can we get it done to pump it out. Seems like no effort was put into this to make sure it looked like Walt. Just shameful and embarrassing.'
