Major M62 delays after lorry crash
Drivers have been warned of major delays on the M62 after a lorry crash which caused fuel to leak onto the road.
The vehicle hit the railings on a bridge on the A49 Newton Road, in Warrington, which caused the fuel to spill over the motorway.
The M62 has been closed in both direction within junction nine as a result and could be shut for several hours, Cheshire Police said.
A National Highways spokesman said traffic is being diverted onto exit and entry slip roads, with delays of up to 45 minutes expected.
A police spokeswoman said there were no reports of injuries after the lorry crashed earlier.
National Highways said its service providers are on scene to assess the road surface and damaged to the barrier.
A spokesman said there are delays of 45 mins on the eastbound section on the M62 and congestion is around three miles, while westbound there are delays of 20 mins and congestion is two miles.

Aston Martin Returns to Le Mans With a Car That Is Turning Heads
In returning Aston Martin to the top class of the 24 Hours of Le Mans for the first time since 2012, Ian James, the team principal, said it invoked mixed feelings. 'It's a little bit of trepidation, a little bit of angst, an immense amount of pride and being proud,' he said in an interview in May. James runs the Heart of Racing team, or THOR, which will have two Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMHs in the Hypercar class at Le Mans. Aston Martin has won the GT class five times since 2014 with its Vantage. It has not taken the overall victory since Carroll Shelby and Roy Salvadori did it in the DBR1 in 1959. James views this year as a developmental season. 'My goals this year are just to have continual improvement,' he said. 'As long as we continue to do that, and we've seen it in America in I.M.S.A. and W.E.C., we are inching closer and closer,' he said, referring to the International Motor Sports Association and the F.I.A. World Endurance Championship. 'I would say performance so far has exceeded my expectations,' he said. 'As long as we keep going in the same direction, then I'll be very happy at the end of the year as we move past the back of the grid, to tickling the middle of it, and I think that will happen.' Man Utd Co-Owner Ineos Sued By Rival Spurs in Commercial Row
Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur and the billionaire co-owner of Manchester United are embroiled in a legal battle in London's High Court after a commercial deal turned sour. Spurs have lodged a legal claim against Ineos Automotive Limited, the car business that's part of Jim Ratcliffe's Ineos empire. Details of the claim aren't yet available, but the dispute relates to 'general commercial contracts and arrangements,' according to the court filing, which was dated June 12.
