Warriors' Stephen Curry tells funny bowling story involving LeBron, 4-year-old Bronny
When Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry first arrived in the NBA as a rookie back in 2009, LeBron James was already a superstar. Carrying the Cleveland Cavaliers on his back for more than half a decade, he was the reigning MVP, a player Curry admired and looked up to.
The baby-faced assassin, as a rookie once took up the opportunity to 'hang out' with LeBron at his Cleveland residence, and ended up bowling with him. Curry revealed that the two initially watched 'all type of stuff' on a wall with '16 different screens,' when James asked him if he wanted to go bowling.
'He's like oh there's a bowling alley over here I'm like what are you talking about? Never seen that before and so, we go bowling. Actually, my wrist was It might have been a little competitive advantage for him cuz my wrist was hurting after bowling. I was like, 'damn, I'm not going to be able to shoot tomorrow,' Curry revealed on 360 With Speedy.
The then 21-year-old even stumbled upon Bronny James, who Speedy Morman pointed out is now his rival. It seems that even as a kid, Bronny James showed flashes of the NBA-calibre athlete he now is.
'Um, but I remember how athletic Bronn looked at like he maybe couldn't have been more than three or four. And how fast he ran across the like he going somewhere and not to see him in the league is is crazy. But uh it was just cool to just chill and um just have kick it on on the road and and have a good time,' Curry revealed.
LeBron and Steph went on to compete in four consecutive NBA Finals during James' second stint with Cleveland. Curry won three of them, with their rivalry going down in NBA folklore as one of the best in modern history.

The Mavericks were not wrong to have concerns about Doncic's conditioning, it certainly has not been consistent throughout his career. (It's still a massive leap from having concerns to trading a top-five player in the world as he enters his prime because of it.) Doncic has improved his conditioning in the past, but due to injuries and other reasons, it has never stayed at the level Dallas' Harrison — a Kobe Bryant guy — expected. What should scare the Mavericks is that they have just become the motivation he needed to genuinely change. If the disrespect from Dallas, combined with being on a new team and watching LeBron James' commitment to his body and conditioning daily, changes Doncic's habits, then the Mavericks have unleashed a monster on the league. Doncic had spent the summer back in Europe with family and friends, but landed back in the United States in the last 48 hours for a Jordan Brand promotional shoe tour. After that tour, he returns to Slovenia to lead his national team in the EuroBasket that starts at the end of this month. Doncic is eligible for a contract extension this summer: On Aug. 2, the Lakers can offer him a four-year, $223 million extension. They will, and Doncic is expected to re-sign with the team, although most likely on a three-year, $165 million max contract (or three plus a player option) because in three years he will have reached 10 years of service in the league and then can sign for up to 35% of the salary cap (the most the Lakers could offer right now is 30%). Expect that deal to be finalized before the season starts (possibly this week, while he is in the USA on a shoe tour, or perhaps closer to Lakers training camp).

Tyrese Haliburton's rehab will include wedding planning as he gets engaged to long-time girlfriend
Tyrese Haliburton will have no problem staying busy while he recovers from an Achilles tendon tear. Among other things, he'll be planning a wedding. The Indiana Pacers two-time All-NBA point guard posted pictures and video to his Instagram account Monday of his proposal this weekend to long-time girlfriend Jade Jones. The two met at Iowa State where Haliburton played his college ball and Jones was a cheerleader, so Haliburton carried out the proposal there at halfcourt of Hilton Coliseum. Haliburton had the lights in the arena turned off but big light-up letters at center court spelling out "Will You Marry Me" with rose petals in front of the letters. He got down on one knee despite the fact that he's still in a walking boot. The scooter he's been getting around on is in the shot. Haliburton also posted photos after the engagement of the two on campus. He captioned the post "The place where our story started and where our next chapter begins."

What's next for Joe Flacco, Browns At age 40, Joe Flacco still stands out for his veteran leadership and championship experience as one of the oldest players in the NFL. For the Browns, this will prove to be important for a position that is mostly young. There are multiple players on the quarterback depth chart, including Flacco. Deshaun Watson would be the starter, but he is rehabbing a torn Achilles that will have him out for most of the 2025 season. After him, Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel and Kenny Pickett are next as they have a lot to prove. The starting job will be competitive for everyone that is healthy at the position. Flacco's familiarity with Kevin Stefanski's style of play would give him the upper hand in the quarterback battle. On the other hand, the Browns could make noise by giving plenty of reps to the younger signal-callers, paving the way for an intriguing 2025 campaign.
