
NASSCOM delegation discusses Andhra Pradesh's tech vision with Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu
Mr. Naidu said in a message on 'X' that Andhra Pradesh was a compelling alternative to saturated hubs, offering a unique advantages for India's growing tech sector driven by Global Capability Centres (GCCs), Engineering, Research & Development (ER&D) and Artificial Intelligence.
He stated that the Andhra Pradesh Government's key initiatives that were deliberated include an AI, Quantum and GovTech Innovation Sandbox for real-world pilot testing, a 100K Tech Apprentice Program for bridging talent gaps, a Coastal Cloud & Cyber Corridor for green data infrastructure, and an Andhra - for - Bharat initiative aimed at scaling rural-tech solutions.
The NASSCOM delegation comprised vice-president and Head of Membership & Outreach Srikanth Srinivasan, and Head of ER&D, Siva Prasad Polimetla.

‘Super Six' poll promises superhit, says CM Naidu
Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on Friday said the 'Super Six' set of poll promises made by the TDP-led NDA in the state was a 'superhit'. Addressing the gathering after hoisting the national flag as part of the 79th Independence Day celebrations, Naidu said that with a 94 per cent strike rate, Andhra people created a "silent revolution" and brought the NDA to power in the state in the 2024 polls. "The coalition government is a government for the poor. We are spending thousands of crores of rupees to raise the living standards of the people and uplift the poorer sections through welfare schemes," said Naidu. During the last one year, with focus on welfare, development, and good governance, the NDA government got great satisfaction in serving the people, he noted. "I am saying this today with humility and pride. The coalition government is offering unmatched welfare assistance. There is no obstacle to development. There are unprecedented efforts for good governance. This is a record. This is an all-time record," he said. "We have made our main election promises, the Super Six, a super hit. We have given a new definition to welfare governance by supporting ewvery community, every region, every family, and every citizen," he said. The Chief Minister said that technology was the game changer for the state. 'Efforts are on to attract investment and give boost to promote technology and industries in the state'. Chandrababu Naidu said the governments were not just about meeting the immediate needs of the people; they must also provide a golden future and create opportunities. 'For this, any government or leader must work with a vision.' Observing that the 'dream capital city' of Amaravati had been restarted with the blessings of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Naidu said the government was working towards shaping it as a world class capital. The Chief Minister recounted: 'In 1995, we spoke about IT, promoted it, and showed results. Today, in 2025, we are talking about a Quantum Valley and using AI in governance. We are bringing radical changes to public services using DataLake and AWARE. Amaravati will become the Quantum Valley of the country, like the Silicon Valley in the US. The Quantum Computing Valley services will commence from January 2026. IT and data centers are coming to north Andhra. We are bringing defence, space, aerospace, drone, automobile, and electronics industries to Rayalaseema'. Chandrababu Naidu continued: 'We are working for the development of all regions. We have introduced 6 new policies to attract investments in the IT and electronics sectors. Major IT companies like Google, TCS, and Cognizant have come forward to invest in Andhra Pradesh. We are establishing the Ratan Tata Innovation Hub in Amaravati. Hubs are being set up in Visakhapatnam, Rajamahendravaram, Vijayawada, Tirupati, and Anantapur under a hub-and-spoke model.' 'We are establishing a 'Global Leadership Center' in Amaravati. We have extensively integrated technology into public administration. We have brought innovation to governance through WhatsApp governance 'Mana Mithra', providing 700 citizen services. I am reminded of the words of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao, 'Society is the temple, people are the Gods'. We are following in his footsteps.' The Chief Minister highlighted the polices of the coalition government explaining the progress of irrigation projects, development of infrastructure, including ports, giving priority for education, medical and health, and implementation of NTR Vaidya Seva. He said that the AP government was working towards building 'Swarnandhra' as part of the Viksit Bharat -- the aim of PM Narendra Modi. Billing Polavaram Project as the lifeline of Andhra Pradesh, Naidu promised to complete it by December 2027. To make Rayalaseema fertile, Naidu said the state has decided to divert surplus Godavari water from Polavaram to Banakacherla, using only the water that would otherwise flow wastefully into the sea. The Chief Minister slammed the previous YSRCP government for allegedly pushing the state into debts. Naidu alleged that the previous YSRCP government destroyed the state over the past five years and tarnished the state's brand image. The state plunged into a debt of Rs 10.30 lakh crore, he said.

Hyd & B'luru bagged 50% of tech sector leasing in H1 of 2025 driven by GCC boom
1 2 Hyderabad: Even as the tech sector continues to dominate India's Grade A office space market, along with large-sized deals of over 1 lakh sq ft, Hyderabad, along with India's Silicon Valley—Bengaluru, retained their position as the top drivers of tech sector leasing in the first half of 2025 (H1 2025) thanks to the GCC boom. The two top IT hubs accounted for nearly half (5.3 million sq ft) of the total 10.8 million sq ft of office space absorbed by the tech sector in H1 2025, according to realty consulting firm Colliers. While Bengaluru clinched the largest chunk of 28% with 3 million sq ft, Hyderabad was second with a 21% share or 2.3 million sq ft of the total office space leasing by tech companies in H1 2025 across the top seven cities. The two were followed by Delhi-NCR, Chennai, and Pune with 1.6 million sq ft (15%), 1.5 million sq ft (14%), and 1.2 million sq ft (11%) in H1. In 2024, Bengaluru had a 34% share of the total 16.6 million sq ft tech leasing in the top markets with 5.7 million sq ft, while Hyderabad had a 25% share with 4.2 million sq ft. In 2022 too, which clocked the highest tech sector leasing since 2020. "The tech sector continues to demonstrate remarkable resilience, even amid global uncertainties and workforce adjustments. Since 2020, tech occupiers leased close to 85 million sq ft of conventional office space across the top seven cities and accounted for the bulk of the large-sized transactions. In H1 2025 alone, the sector drove 43% of the large-sized transactions," Arpit Mehrotra, Managing Director, Office Services, Colliers India, said. "Despite current headwinds, we expect technology occupiers to maintain the leasing momentum throughout 2025 and fuel commercial real estate in India, mainly supported by the expansion of GCCs. Meanwhile, a strong IT talent pool and cost arbitrage will continue to be the differentiating factors for the Indian office market," Mehrotra added. Dow Chemical signs 2.5 lakh sq ft office lease at Navi Mumbai's Mindspace Airoli

TIL Creatives Representative Image Dow Chemicals International has picked up over 2.56 lakh sq ft office space in an information technology park in Navi Mumbai's Airoli locality through a long-term lease spanning over 10 years, marking one of the largest recent transactions in the city's IT and business parks US-headquartered chemical major has taken up five floors from 2nd to 6th in one of towers of Mindspace Special Economic Zone, owned by Mindspace Business Parks. The company is estimated to pay around Rs 250 crore rentals through the entire term of the lease. The lease, starting 15 September, will see Dow Chemical will paying a monthly rental of Rs 1.64 crore, translating into Rs 64 per sq ft on the chargeable area. The agreement includes a clause to escalate rentals by 5% every year. The transaction also involves a security deposit of Rs 14.77 addition to the standard lease terms, the deal includes a fit-out security deposit of Rs 82.09 crore, which will be refunded in tranches of 10% each year, and a fit-out rent of Rs 29.45 per sq ft per month, with no escalation through the term, showed the documents accessed through realty data analytics firm transaction underscores the resilience of the commercial office market in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), particularly in large-format, high-quality spaces catering to multinational occupiers.
