Harsh said the altercation turned noisy, attracting the attention of security guards posted at the tower.
Soon after, four guards allegedly dragged Harsh out of his flat and thrashed him with sticks and an iron rod, causing severe head injuries.
Harsh said, "She raised her voice and people outside may have heard her. They sent the guards, who came to our doorstep and started speaking rudely, calling me outside the house.
I told the guards I could not meet them because my wife was upset. I told them we would resolve the matter shortly and asked them to leave. But they stayed put and told me if I did not open the door, they would break it open."
The senior police officer said, "Even as the guards arrived, the man continued thrashing his wife. One of them intervened when the man slapped him. The guards got together and hit the man. Later, the couple resolved their issues and filed a complaint against the guards."

Rapper Lil Nas X was arrested and briefly taken to a hospital for a suspected overdose after Los Angeles police say he charged at officers responding to a report of a naked man walking on a busy boulevard. Lil Nas X, whose legal name is Montero Lamar Hill, was reportedly seen walking around the streets of LA in a white underwear and boots at around 4am on early Thursday morning. "Officers found him walking on the normally very busy Ventura Boulevard in the Studio City neighbourhood shortly before 6 am," Los Angeles police spokesman Officer Charles Miller said. After charging at arriving police, he was reportedly handcuffed and taken into custody. However, as the officers suspected a drug overdose, they took him to a hospital first. 'Upon arrival the suspect charged at officers and was taken into custody. False shooter report sparks panic: Villanova University receives 'hoax' call; triggers campus lockdown
Villanova says a report of a campus shooter was a 'cruel hoax' (Pic credit: AP) False reports of active shooters at Villanova University in Pennsylvania and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga sparked panic and temporary lockdowns on both campuses on Thursday. In Pennsylvania, a 911 call around 4:30 pm (local time) claimed a shooter was inside a Villanova law school building, with at least one victim reported wounded. Students received emergency alerts stating: 'ACTIVE SHOOTER on VU campus. Move to secure location. Lock/barricade doors.' University president Rev. Peter M Donohue later confirmed it was a hoax. 'Today, as we are celebrating Orientation Mass to welcome our newest Villanovans and their families to our community, panic and terror ensued,' he said in a statement. 'Mercifully, no one was injured and we now know it was a cruel hoax.' The incident triggered a massive law enforcement response, with Delaware County district attorney Jack Stollsteimer describing the operation: 'Law enforcement for the entire tri-state area is here. We are going door to door, room to room, to make this campus safe.' At a press briefing later, Stollsteimer said: 'If this was indeed a cruel hoax, this is a crime.' by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like The 5 Books Warren Buffett Recommends You To Read in 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo Authorities confirmed a full investigation is underway. Students were instructed to 'Run. Hide. Fight.' The alert was lifted within an hour after law enforcement, including the FBI, found no credible threat. Both incidents come as students were returning to campus, with orientation programmes underway and classes set to begin next week.

Trump Administration Halts Visas For Foreign Truck Drivers Citing Safety Concerns
Most foreign truck drivers in the U.S. are employed under the H-2B visa program. The Trump administration has announced a pause on the issuance of worker visas for foreign commercial truck drivers, according to Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The decision, made effective immediately, was announced Thursday and is being justified as a public safety measure. 'Effective immediately we are pausing all issuance of worker visas for commercial truck drivers. The increasing number of foreign drivers operating large tractor-trailer trucks on US roads is endangering American lives and undercutting the livelihoods of American truckers," Rubio stated in a post on X (formerly Twitter). Effective immediately we are pausing all issuance of worker visas for commercial truck increasing number of foreign drivers operating large tractor-trailer trucks on U.S. roads is endangering American lives and undercutting the livelihoods of American truckers. — Secretary Marco Rubio (@SecRubio) August 21, 2025 Rubio did not clarify how long the visa freeze would remain in effect. The current fiscal year, which typically governs visa quotas, ends on September 30. Most foreign truck drivers in the US are employed under the H-2B visa program, a non-immigrant visa that allows employers to bring foreign workers for temporary non-agricultural jobs. The visa suspension comes just days after a fatal highway crash in Florida involving Harjinder Singh, a commercial truck driver. Singh was accused of making an illegal U-turn that resulted in multiple deaths approximately 50 miles north of West Palm Beach. The Department of Homeland Security later revealed that Singh was in the US illegally and was arrested on three counts of vehicular homicide. In response to the crash, Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy announced on Tuesday that an official investigation into the incident had been launched. Authorities are examining whether regulatory oversights contributed to the deadly event. The crackdown on foreign drivers follows a broader pattern of immigration and public safety measures by the Trump administration. In April, President Trump signed an executive order directing the Department of Transportation to remove commercial drivers who could not prove English language proficiency. While the English requirement has long been part of federal regulations, it had not been strictly enforced since 2016. The policy has reportedly led to the disqualification of more than 3,000 drivers nationwide who failed to pass English proficiency exams. In a related development, the State Department confirmed Thursday that it is currently vetting over 55 million US visa holders for potential deportable offences, which include criminal activity, visa overstays, and involvement in terrorist activity. view comments First Published: Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
