NFL teams have kids in mind with videos for schedule reveals, while Bears draw the most laughs

From Minecraft to Mario Kart, plenty of NFL teams had younger fans in mind while revealing schedules in the growing tradition of videos on the social platform X.
The Los Angeles Chargers and Indianapolis Colts had Minecraft themes, and both poked fun at a fight in a Starbucks between NFL reporters Ian Rapoport and Jordan Schultz that went viral during the NFL combine this year.
The winner for comedic effect Wednesday night was the Chicago Bears playing off the common name of new coach Ben Johnson, featuring Emmy Award-winning actor and comedian Lamorne Morris. Needle in a haystack
Johnson is wearing a Chicago Cubs jersey when he says he's going to be at the game all day and asks Morris to email him the schedule. Morris pretends to know how to send the email, but ends up sending 'the entire schedule to every Ben Johnson on the Chicago Bears marketing list.'

Vikings, OC Wes Phillips agree to contract extension
The Minnesota Vikings will keep Wes Phillips as their offensive coordinator for a little while longer. According to Ben Goessling of the Minnesota Star Tribune, the Vikings and Phillips have agreed to a contract extension. He's not Batman. He's Alex Caruso. And he's leading the Thunder in his own way in the NBA Finals
Associated Press OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Alex Caruso got asked after Game 4 of the NBA Finals if he's aware that he's achieved a level of superhero-type status among fans of the Oklahoma City Thunder during this playoff run. After all, having zero 20-point games in the regular season followed by two — and counting — in the NBA Finals against the Indiana Pacers tends to have an effect on people. 'For the superhero reference, we'll just do Robin because that's the only one I can probably make some similarities to,' Caruso said. 'I've got better players around me that are doing more.' That's part of the Caruso story, and he's just fine with that. He was part of the Los Angeles Lakers team — alongside a Batman in LeBron James — that won a title in the pandemic 'bubble' in 2020. And he has helped this Thunder team — alongside another Batman in Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, the reigning MVP and scoring champion who slapped on his cape and carried OKC down the stretch of Game 4 — move within two wins of what would be his second championship. He had 20 points against the Pacers in Game 2 and 20 points again in a probably season-saving win in Game 4; it's no coincidence that those are the games the Thunder have won in this series. And his Game 4 performance was historic; no player in finals history had ever had 20 points and five steals off the bench in a game during the title series. Before Friday, that is, when he did just that. 'He's a competitive monster, clearly,' Thunder coach Mark Daigneault said. 'He's proven that time and again over his career. Certainly in these playoffs … I can't say enough about him as a competitor.' Caruso, 31, is the oldest player on the Thunder roster. And his teammates have no problem pointing out that he's the wise sage of the team, the vet with a ring, the one you go to for advice on virtually any topic. 'He plays the game, he thinks the game and he's also coaching the game all at the same time,' forward Cason Wallace said. 'He's always a few steps ahead.' Caruso's is the quintessential story of bucking the odds. A four-star recruit out of high school, not drafted by any NBA team, and some coaches still lament letting him get away. Among them: Rick Carlisle. Now the Indiana coach, Carlisle was with Dallas when the Mavericks brought Caruso — a Texas A&M guy — in for a workout. They didn't even offer him a summer league deal. Whoops. 'Some of these guys that go under the radar have that level of grit and determination that is able to get them to the league and to get them some longevity and high impact,' Carlisle said. James, even now, still calls Caruso 'one of my favorite teammates of all time.' The Thunder feel the same way about him, for obvious reasons. Caruso doesn't need to be Batman. Being a Robin is just fine with him. 'It just comes down to really wanting to win, being super competitive,' Caruso said. 'That's why my career is the way it is. That's why I've had success. Aaron Rodgers Looks Forward to Mentoring Will Howard: ‘I'm Gonna Help Him Out as Much as I Can'
PITTSBURGH — Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers revealed during his introductory press conference on Tuesday that he looks forward to serving as a mentor for rookie Will Howard. 'Will's a good kid,' Rodgers said. 'Got to talk a little bit. I thought he did really well today. he seems pretty bright. [The game's] not too big for him. He got through progressions really well. I'm gonna be with him every single day and every single meeting. Found my seat next to him in the offensive meeting… I'm gonna help him out as much as I can.' Advertisement Howard is chomping at the bit to learn from one of the best quarterbacks in NFL history. 'I was fired up,' Howard said when he heard that Rodgers signed with the Steelers. 'Believe me. That's a guy I grew up watching, idolizing, and it's cool to be in the same room with him. Just hearing, first day, his thoughts and the way that he looks at things. He's a legend in this game. I'm gonna try and learn as much as I can from him and be the best support guy that I can be for him. I think it's amazing. The opportunity for me to learn and to work with a guy like that is second to none.' Having the chance to learn from a four-time NFL MVP like Aaron Rodgers will only set Howard up for success at the next level, and he knows that. 'I've been watching him pretty much, damn near, my whole life. There's a lot of things I've picked up from him. The things he can do with the football in his hands are kind of special,' Howard said. 'You got to make the best of your situation. I think him being here, for me, is like a dream come true, learning from a guy like that.' Advertisement Green Bay Packers quarterback Jordan Love recently revealed that Aaron Rodgers played a big part in his development. 'In my time with A-Rod, we had a great relationship. It was awesome being in the same room with him, being able to learn. He was amazing with everything. And I definitely appreciate the way he handled everything on the outside with obviously him leaving and me taking over, and he's been very supportive of me [since],' Love said in an interview with Jason Wilde of ESPN Milwaukee. Brett Favre didn't necessarily welcome Rodgers with open arms in 2005, but that wasn't the case for Love. Rodgers made sure to be a good mentor. He also looks forward to facing Rodgers in Week 8 when the Steelers and Packers square off on Sunday Night Football at Acrisure Stadium. It will be Rodgers' first meeting against his former team since departing Green Bay after the 2022 season.
