Chris Martin called them out, saying, "Either they're having an affair or they're just very shy." The moment has gone viral, and the pair has been identified as Astronomer's CEO Andy Byron and HR Chief Kristin Cabot.
The internet has not held back its opinions on the matter, and now a formal statement by the company has been made. BuzzFeed spoke to Astronomer's Director of Communication Taylor Jones, who confirmed the statement is posted on LinkedIn and X.
It reads, "Astronomer is committed to the values and culture that have guided us since our founding. Our leaders are expected to set the standard in both conduct and accountability.
The Board of Directors has initiated a formal investigation into this matter and we will have additional details to share very shortly.
Alyssa Stoddard was not at the event and no other employees were in the video. Andy Byron has not put out any statement, reports saying otherwise are all incorrect."
And, as expected, people are on the edge of their seats, waiting to see how the company handles this situation.
Neither Coldplay, Andy, nor Kristin has publicly addressed the matter. BuzzFeed has been unable to reach Andy Byron directly. And we've also contacted Chris's reps for additional comment, but did not hear back by the time of publication.

SmackDown airs tonight (July 18) with a live show emanating from Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas. This is the first episode of SmackDown during the three week build towards SummerSlam, which takes place on the weekend of August 2 & 3. WWE Champion John Cena and Cody Rhodes are both under one roof tonight, this time for a contract signing to make their title match official at SummerSlam. Cena has lost several steps and can't really rely on his own skills to beat Rhodes. At WrestleMania 41, he needed Cody's hesitation and an assist from rapper Travis Scott to win the top prize in WWE. At least one of those elements is off the board for SummerSlam because Cody has learned from his dumbass mistake and won't hesitate again. That's exactly what Randy Orton pointed out when he said Cody showed no hesitation in targeting his vulnerable back to win the King of the Ring tournament. Cena will need to come up with a good plan for beating Rhodes again that goes beyond Travis Scott.
