HGTV shockingly cancels FOUR shows with more on the chopping block

Daily Mail26-06-2025
HGTV has axed Farmhouse Fixer, Bargain Block, Married to Real Estate, and Izzy Does It in a shocking cancellation spree – and there are growing fears over the fate of its other shows.
The network's substantial cuts to its programming output in recent days have ignited concern amongst fans and fellow hosts as they await updates on whether other shows have been shelved.
The future of Luxe for Less and Unsellable Houses has yet to be announced.
Farmhouse Fixer host Jonathan Knight confirmed his show, which he co-presented alongside Kristina Crestin, had been canned on Wednesday after three seasons.
'A lot of you have been asking about the future of Farmhouse Fixer,' he said. 'I am sad to say HGTV has decided not to move forward with another season.
'While I'm still processing the reasons that led to their decision, Kristina and I are so grateful for all your support over the past three seasons. Television has been so incredibly fun for us.
'We are so proud of what we created together and look forward to sharing what's next for us.'
Bargain Block host Keith Bynum broke the news of the show's cancellation last week.
'We do have a few more episodes coming out in August, actually starting on Evan's birthday,' he said in an Instagram Story, referring to his co-host and partner, Evan Thomas.
'But they are the remainder of Season 4 'cause they did not renew the show for Season 5.'
In a separate grid post, he continued: 'Our entire business and lives have been put through the ringer at the hands of a giant corporation, yet we persist lol.
'Though you may not be seeing us for much longer on HGTV, we're excited that we've built such an amazing base of followers and we're very excited about the future.'
Married to Real Estate's hosts Mike Jackson and Egypt Sherrod also addressed their show's axe in a statement and described the decision as 'unexpected.'
'Mike and I just landed back in the States after an unforgettable family trip through the Mediterranean, and we're met with unexpected news: HGTV has decided not to move forward with Married to Real Estate,' it read.
'While the chain of events leading up to this is disheartening, we are deeply grateful. Grateful for four incredible seasons. Grateful for our amazing crew and supportive fans.
'Grateful that our businesses continue to thrive. And most of all–grateful that we are still very much married to real estate (and to each other).'
They also hinted at some acrimony with HGTV, indicating while the cancellation was a surprise, it may have also been a blessing in disguise.
'There's more to say, and we'll share soon. But for now, know this: not all setbacks are what they seem. Some blessings show up in disguise,' they added.
'We've been here before. We'll keep counting those blessings-and keep it moving. Stay tuned,' the statement concluded.
The post was captioned: 'Sometimes GOD will rip you out of a situation to set you up for your next!'
Egypt is the CEO of the Egypt Sherrod Real Estate Group, while Mike is the owner of Jackson Draper Renovations.
They both served as judges on HGTV's Rock the Block in Season 2, and competed themselves in Season 3, prevailing as champions.
Egypt also hosted HGTV's Flipping Virgins from 2015 to 2018, and they both host the successful Marriage & Money podcast as well.
While Izzy Battres, the host of Izzy Does It, hasn't issued a statement directly addressing his show's cancellation, he did respond to a fan to express his thanks.
'Unfortunately, no season two,' he said, 'but we're truly, thankful for everyone watching and supporting us!!'

Pamela Anderson breaks silence on Meghan Markle's ‘rip off' Netflix cooking show

Pamela Anderson has finally spoken out on viral claims Meghan Markle 'ripped off' her cooking show with Netflix series, With Love, Meghan. Fans of the Baywatch bombshell, 58, were left incensed when the former working Royal, 44, debuted her latest TV venture - which bore eerie similarities to Pamela's Cooking With Love, which premiered earlier this year on Prime Video. The Naked Gun star Anderson opened up on Sunday's Watch What Happens Live! - with host Andy Cohen asking her: 'On a scale from one to 10, how much of a rip-off did you feel like With Love, Meghan was of your show, Pamela's Cooking with Love?' Anderson, who was appearing alongside new love and co-star Liam Neeson responded: 'One. I didn't - I didn't really look, but I mean, I didn't invent cooking shows' adding that Markle 'is just doing her thing.' The drama erupted when Prince Harry 's wife gave People magazine some of her top domestic tips ahead of the release of With Love, Meghan, in March. These included how to 'elevate' a normal dinner – such as after ordering a takeaway, for example. Citing Chinese as a favorite delivery option, Markle told the US magazine: 'I like being able to do a hybrid, but even when I get a takeout I will try to plate it beautifully.' And discussing her new trademark As Ever – after she failed to secure copyright branding for her original name, American Riviera Orchard – she insisted: 'It's a learning curve. 'I appreciate everyone who gave me the grace to make mistakes and figure it out and also be forgiving with myself through that.' shows The two former TV stars live more than a thousand miles apart, yet both were smiling and giggling in brightly lit country kitchens, filming aspirational cooking with photogenic friends and famous celebrities. Both are seen carrying wicker baskets of fruit and vegetables picked from their gardens, dancing with joy, and gleefully high-fiving their celebrity guests. Both series are even the same length: eight episodes. When Meghan's first episode was shown, it prompted withering complaints that she had copied Pamela's winning formula. 'So similar it's freaky,' said one reviewer, while others branded Meghan's series 'inauthentic' and 'copycat'. More charitable observers might put this down to coincidence, as neither show seems to deviate from the wholesome template of many an aspirational cookery program. However, while Markle filmed her series last summer, with the first trailer making its debut in January, Anderson's was commissioned back in February 2023 by Canadian broadcaster Flavour Network. And its trailer has been available for all to see since last October. Last month it was claimed Markle and Prince Harry's hopes of a new Netflix deal are 'dead' after their two most recent shows flopped, Meghan's lifestyle show failed to break into Netflix 's top 300 programs for the first half of 2025 and was even thrashed by multiple seasons of Suits. A second season of With Love, Meghan, was announced by the Duchess herself as the first season came out in March this year as part of the couple's $100million deal with the streaming giant, which expires this year

Kylie Jenner splashes $500k on fancy olive trees during construction of her Calabasas dream mega-mansion

KYLIE Jenner has splashed out $500k on fancy olive trees during the construction of her Calabasas dream mega-mansion. Nestled in Los Angeles' exclusive Hidden Hills neighborhood, it has been under construction for five years, and is now nearly finished. 8 8 8 Kylie, 27, who currently lives in a $36 million mansion in the same area, originally purchased the exclusive land once owned by Miley Cyrus for $15 million in 2020. New pictures of the beauty mogul's fortress show the multi-acre piece of land is coming along. But before Kylie is ready to move in, she has planted a line of overgrown olive trees worth half million dollars around the house for extra privacy. In new ariel photographs, the Hidden Hills mansion is encircled by the gorgeous olive trees - you can even see what might be her vineyards in the background. On top of the $15 million spent on the land, Kylie, 27, has poured millions of dollars more into the estate's construction. The finished property will feature an underground 12-car garage and a bunker, perhaps to protect Kylie and her kids Stormi, seven, and Aire, three, in case of emergency. According to reports, the mansion will also feature 15 bedrooms, a sports court and a big swimming pool. And the extravagant driveway looks like something out of a spy movie that would lead to the underground parking garage to house all of Kylie's vehicles. When completed, the home will reportedly be at least twice the size of sister Kim Kardashian's $60 million mansion in the same neighborhood. Kylie's real estate portfolio also includes a $13.5 million mansion in Beverly Hills, which she shares with ex Travis Scott. She also dropped $3.25 million on a Palm Springs plot, where she plans to build a vacation home. Kylie also lives part-time in boyfriend Timothee Chalamet's hometown New York City, though it is unclear if she owns her own apartment in the area. When construction began on Kylie's new home, L.A. realtor Tony Mariotti, CEO of RubyHome Luxury Real Estate, told The U.S. Sun that building her home is as intricate as building a hotel. "They are bigger. I know that's obvious, but bigger homes just take longer," Tony said. "For example, that foundation, with the subterranean garage is some serious business. Not only is it huge, but it is way more complex than a typical foundation." He added: "If you run out of something or have difficulty with the materials, that'll cause a delay. "They've got multiple sub-contractors coming and going, doing all sorts of work, all of which is going to be custom and detailed. "Laying the stone or carpet in that house could take weeks instead of days. "The city inspections that happen along the way will take longer. "If the builders violate or overlook any building codes, it'll take days or weeks to straighten things out. "This is a project on the scale of a large restaurant or small hotel." Kylie's new home isn't the first time the media personality has had a home in Hidden Hills. In 2016, Kylie purchased a $12 million home in Hidden Hills and according to the Daily Mail, she still has the home. 8 8 8 8
