'There is a toilet - the actual toilet is in a wooden box. If you lift the lid it turns into a modern toilet that you can use. There's also a lovely cat wandering around that's more than happy to jump on your lap for a cuddle, if you sit by her.
'Fascinating artefacts dotted around and if you are blest, you might see someone wandering around in Roman Uniform. Nice little gifts in the reception area too. Free to go in but you can give a donation if you want to.'

Higher airfares and hotel prices predicted to push up UK inflation in July
Prices in the UK are set to have risen faster last month as school holidays boosted travel costs and grocery bills remain elevated, economists said. Some experts said an 'Oasis bump' could have contributed to higher accommodation prices in July. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) will publish the latest inflation dataset on Wednesday. The rate of Consumer Prices Index (CPI) inflation is widely expected to have increased to 3.7% in July, from the 3.6% recorded in June. The school summer holidays are likely to have seen airfares rise considerably, with airlines typically bumping up prices in July amid stronger demand from families. Analysts for Pantheon Macroeconomics forecast that airfares could surge by 17.1% between June and July. Rail costs and package holidays are also set to have jumped amid the spike in summer travel. July's Retail Prices Index (RPI) measure of inflation will also be announced on Wednesday. The Government has not confirmed how it will determine the cap on regulated train fare rises in England in 2026, but this year's 4.6% hike was one percentage point above RPI in July 2024. Banking group Investec has forecast this year's July RPI figure will be 4.5%, which means fares could jump by 5.5%. Pressure group Railfuture told the PA news agency 'it would be outrageous' if fares rose by that much. Meanwhile, economists have pointed to a possible spike in hotel prices helping drive up CPI inflation in July. Sanjay Raja, senior economist for Deutsche Bank, said this could partly be attributed to British band Oasis kicking off their reunion tour in July. The concerts brought in hordes of fans to arenas in Cardiff, Manchester, London and Edinburgh, which could have driven greater demand for hotel rooms. Accommodation prices could rise by as much as 9% in July, compared with June, 'with the Oasis concerts having a strong impact on Manchester prices alone', the economist said. Mr Raja is predicting headline UK inflation will have risen to 3.8% in July. Susannah Streeter, head of money and markets for Hargreaves Lansdown, said: 'The Oasis tour, which saw high demand for hospitality around the gig dates, has the potential to push up inflation in the sector during July. 'We are unlikely to see the Gallagher effect show up in quite the same way as Taylor Swift's bump to prices in June 2024. 'But demand for hotel rooms, beer, bucket hats and Nineties-style gear could be one of the factors that keep inflation heading higher.' Food prices have also been rising in recent months – partly driven by higher ingredients, labour and regulatory costs. Annual food price inflation increased for the third month in a row in June, hitting the highest rate since February 2024. Victoria Scholar, head of investment for Interactive Investor, said there were 'particular worries about domestic food price inflation as well as uncertainty around how (US President Donald) Trump's tariffs could push up prices'. The Bank of England is forecasting that inflation will increase further this year and peak at about 4% in September, before easing throughout the next two years. The central bank said accelerating food and energy prices have been key drivers in the uptick in inflation.

A British Airways cabin crew member has won a discrimination claim after she was sacked for being too anxious to fly. Jennifer Clifford worked for the airline for almost four decades before the coronavirus pandemic, an employment tribunal heard. It was during lockdown when Ms Clifford began developing symptoms of depression and stress after being placed on furlough. She was declared unfit to fly and was moved to a ground role, but was dismissed in 2022 due to her mental health issues. Ms Clifford sued BA because her manager Nigel Landy had 'minimised' the severity of her condition he described as 'just a little bit of anxiety', Reading Tribunal Court was told. During her period of leave, Ms Clifford was told that she would be made redundant in August 2020. Later that month, Clifford's redundancy was revoked and was offered an alternative role as cabin crew. But the role was two grades below that of an in-flight manager, leading Ms Clifford to appeal against that decision while also raising a grievance for the demotion. The court heard that Ms Clifford remained on furlough until September 2021 before starting a period of sick leave — her first in almost 40 years at BA. Ms Clifford later proposed a phased return from London Gatwick Airport, rather than her normal base at Heathrow. She said the changes would reduce her commuting time, which 'increased feelings of stress and anxiety arising in consequence of her disability'. In September 2022, BA informed Ms Clifford that if she did not make herself fit to fly then a day for her departure would be set. A termination date was set for March 2023, but Ms Clifford left in December 2022. However, Ms Clifford is set to receive a payout, with the tribunal saying that BA should have given her more credit for her acts of service. Upholding her claims of disability discrimination, failure to make reasonable adjustments and unfair dismissal, Judge Emma Hawksworth concluded: 'Ms Clifford needed a phased return in a ground duties placement before returning to her full contractual flying role. 'That was because of the need to rebuild her confidence and to give time to adjust to working again, and these requirements arose from her disability. She remained unable, because of anxiety and depression, to return to her flying role when required to do so by (BA) at the end of the resourcing and recruitment placement. 'Mr Landy telling (Clifford) she had 'just a little bit of anxiety' was clumsy and suggested to [Clifford] that he was minimising her condition. It came across as an attempt to dismiss how she was feeling. '(Clifford) had very long service with (BA). She had had a lengthy period of absence from work, in part because of things for which she was not responsible: a long period of furlough and a long period when the respondent was considering her grievance. 'A reasonable employer would have given her a longer and more suitable phased return and would, in line with its policy, have considered redeployment to a ground based role before deciding to dismiss her.' Ms Clifford's additional claim of sex discrimination was dismissed by the judge.
