OPEN// Sisi sends Eid al-Adha greetings to Egyptians abroad
CAIRO, June 2 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday extended his greetings to Egyptians living abroad ahead of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Adha.
In a message conveyed by Egyptian embassies and consulates via their social media pages, Sisi said: "My brothers and children, Muslims of Egypt abroad, I am pleased to send you my heartfelt greetings and best wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Adha. This blessed holiday reminds us of the noble Islamic values that inspire us to work harder and give more to realize our hopes and aspirations for a better future for our beloved Egypt and its proud people."
"I pray to God Almighty that it be a happy and blessed Eid, and that it returns to you with goodness and blessings. Eid Mubarak," he added.

CAIRO, June 3 (MENA) - Egypt has extended its sincere congratulations to the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) and the Republic of Liberia on their election on Tuesday by the United Nations General Assembly as non-permanent members of the UN Security Council for a two-year term starting in January 2026. The election of two African countries with a long-standing history of working in the service of regional peace and security represents a qualitative addition to the Security Council, Egypt said in a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates. This is meant to avoid any legal consequences that may result from violating these laws, including imposing fines, terminating residency, or deportation and banning from future entry, the ministry said in a statement on Tuesday.
