Cosmopolitan17-07-2025
Since charming the internet (and us, personally) with her razor-sharp timing and effortless cool in The Studio on Apple TV+, Chase Sui Wonders has cemented herself as the kind of actor who makes being funny, stylish, and just a little mysterious look easy. Now, she's stepping into final girl territory in the I Know What You Did Last Summer legacy sequel—yes, the iconic slasher is back, and so is your fear of group chats.
The movie hits theaters July 18, so there's still time to prep your scream queen 'fits and brush up on your Silver Springs lore. During her press tour, Chase took some time to fill out our extremely serious Cosmo Quiz, responding with wit, whimsy, and a level of charm that made our entire office fall even deeper in love.
She is chaotic on a first date (gooning, anyone?), loves herself some DJ Khaled, and might be our generation's most chill It Girl. No notes. Just vibes

Owen Wilson's Golf Comedy STICK Renewed for Season 2 at Apple TV+ — GeekTyrant

Apple TV+ is keeping the laughs on the green. The streamer has officially renewed Owen Wilson's sports comedy Stick for a second season, just as the Season 1 finale drops today. The series, created by Jason Keller, has been a breakout hit since its June 4 debut, regularly landing in Apple TV+'s daily Top 10. In the spirit of Ted Lasso , Stick blends heartfelt storytelling with offbeat humor, following a group of misfits bonded by golf, friendship, and second chances. Wilson stars as Pryce Cahill, better known as Stick , a former golf prodigy whose career flamed out two decades ago. After his marriage falls apart and he's stuck working at a sporting goods store in Indiana, Pryce bets everything on a 17-year-old golf phenom named Santi, played by Peter Dager. Returning for Season 2 are fan favorites including Marc Maron as Pryce's buddy Mitts, Mariana Treviño as Santi's mom Elena, and Lilli Kay as Zero, a bartender turned caddy. Season 1 also featured memorable appearances from Judy Greer, Timothy Olyphant, and real-life golf stars like Collin Morikawa, Keegan Bradley, and Max Homa, along with cameos from broadcasters Jim Nantz and Trevor Immelman. Apple TV+ head of programming Matt Cherniss expressed excitement about the show's future: 'With first season of Stick, audiences instantly fell in love with the charming, funny and heartfelt world that Jason, Owen and their all-star team created this season. There's plenty more in the bag for fans of the series, and we're thrilled they'll soon have the chance to discover Pryce Cahill's next chapter.' The Season 1 finale, 'Déjà Vu All Over Again,' teases big developments for Pryce and Santi. While details on Season 2 are under wraps, Keller hinted in an interview that the story's next chapter might shift dynamics in surprising ways. Keller, who serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Wilson, shared his excitement about continuing the story: 'I am inspired and humbled by the audience reaction to Stick , and I'm thrilled to be making a second season with this magical cast, led by the incomparable Owen Wilson, and the wonderful creative team at Apple TV+. It's a joy to be able to continue this story. Most importantly, however, this Season 2 order will provide me with an undeniable excuse to play even more golf. Thank you, Apple TV+.' Wilson echoed that sentiment, saying: 'I think we all had a great time making it. It's really nice to see the show connecting with people and to know that we get a chance to continue the story.' Produced by Apple Studios with executive producers from Propagate Content and Entertainment 360, the series boasts an impressive roster of directors, including Valerie Faris, Jonathan Dayton, Jaffar Mahmood, David Dobkin, MJ Delaney, and John Hamburg. I enjoyed the first season of the series as it had a great mix of humor, heart, and sports drama. Season 2 is sure to be another hole-in-one for Apple TV+.

I was at work,' he noted on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. 'And when I'm at work, I work. You gonna cut the check when I bring the business, you know?' Mackie then heard murmurs about the Emmys on set, recalling, 'And I look over and everybody's like, 'Congratulations!' And I was like, 'Oh, what white dude got nominated?' Because I'm the white dude legend when it comes to nomination and winning. So, I made Ryan Gosling [Half Nelson] famous, I made Jeremy Renner [The Hurt Locker] famous, I made Bryan Cranston [All the Way] famous, I made, now, Ron Howard famous. I'm like, 'You wanna get nominated? I'm the dude.' I am the sauce, I am the jelly in the donut.' With a Primetime Emmy nod for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Comedy Series, Mackie is in good company, nominated alongside fellow The Studio guests Howard, Cranston, Martin Scorsese and Dave Franco, as well as The Bear's Jon Bernthal. 'The way I look at it, I'm very honored and proud to be nominated. But the reality of it is, I'm excited to be in second place,' he told Fallon. 'You know, it's Ron Howard and it's Scorsese, so one of them are gonna take it, but they're gonna take votes from the other person. So, I'm gonna be in second.' Mackie added, 'I don't care about winning. Winning is being nominated against Scorsese and Ron Howard. Because one of them is going to have to say, 'Damn! I lost to Anthony Mackie.' They're thinking about me, they're shaking.' Additionally, Mackie has received a Daytime Emmy nomination for Outstanding Daytime Personality – Non-Daily, recognizing his NatGeo series Shark Beach with Anthony Mackie: Gulf Coast.
