The expert's choices have sparked a debate on social media
A vet with a decade of experience has revealed her top 10 dog breeds she'd choose to own, highlighting their unique needs and personalities. Saddy, known on TikTok as @saddy542020, has been using the platform to educate her followers about what to expect when bringing a dog into their family.
Acknowledging that every breed comes with its own set of advantages and disadvantages, she shares that these 10 are her personal favourites for various reasons, including their overall temperament and the positive impact they can have on your life.

In her post, she said: "We see lots of posts about breeds vet professionals wouldn't own, and while I agree with the majority of them, I feel like it's time to see the opposite of the narrative!

"All breeds have their unique personalities and health issues, but that shouldn't be the end all, be all. Again, this is personal preference based on personal experience and others don't have to agree."
Kicking off her list, the vet recommends golden retrievers as an excellent choice, describing them as the "definition of man's best friends".
She praises them for being "extremely versatile, eager to please" and having the "best smoosh faces".
Following on, she highlights pitbull terriers as another top pick due to their "powerful but gentle" nature. She notes they come with "scary dog privilege" and are particularly favoured by vets for their affectionate personalities, reports Surrey Live.
Saddy has praised greyhounds as a "gentle and sweet natured" breed, noting their love for lounging on the sofa after a quick outdoor sprint.

She also gave a nod to collies and borzois for their endearing personalities and striking looks.
Boxers were hailed as "some of the happiest dogs alive" by Saddy, with Australian shepherd dogs earning praise for being "bright and alert".
Rounding off her list, she highlighted Irish setters, Irish wolfhounds, and Cardigan Welsh corgis for their affectionate natures and cheerful dispositions.

In response to her post, one user said: "Labrador Retriever....I'll never own another breed."
Another shared an emotional encounter: "I met an Irish wolfhound once and I cried because he was so glorious."

A third contributor expressed a longing sentiment: "I love Irish wolfhounds but I've never even met one."
dog.
"Everyone thinks they're such an easy breed but they're quite the opposite, super boisterous - overrated in my personal opinion!".
Another chimed in with personal affection: "My pitbull is my soul dog. Literally would die for him and he would me. Also have a corgi and she is the best girl ever."
And finally, a user gratefully acknowledged the mention of their pet: "My cardigan welsh corgi Cannoli says thank you for the shout out. I was told they are 'corgis with an off switch' and that was spot-on. He's currently passed out on my feet."

Strictly's Dianne Buswell shares costly error after time away from boyfriend Joe Sugg

Strictly's Dianne Buswell shares costly error after time away from boyfriend Joe Sugg Strictly pro Dianne Buswell was left 'absolutely fuming' after suffering the consequences of a mistake she made whilst her boyfriend Joe Sugg was away from home Dianne Buswell has been talking about what happened to her when Joe was away from home (Image: Getty) Professional dancer Dianne Buswell has admitted she made a costly error whilst her partner, YouTuber Joe Sugg, was away on holiday. Dianne, 36, and Joe, 33, found love after meeting on Strictly Come Dancing in 2018. ‌ Since then, they have been inseparable and, in recent years, have talked about starting a family together in the future. ‌ However, that isn't all that has been discussed, as Australian-born Dianne told her 2024 Strictly partner, comedian Chris McCausland, about the ordeal she went through when Joe went away on holiday. ‌ Speaking about how often she drives on the 'Winning Isn't Everything with Chris McCausland and Dianne Buswell' podcast, Dianne admitted to co-host Chris that she had received some parking tickets. She explained: 'The thing is, Joe normally takes me to the station in the morning, but he's been away fishing, caught his biggest fish that he ever has, and so he wasn't home. So I've had to drive my car to the station and leave it there. 'But what happens is, I get distracted, right, when I get out my car, got so many things on my mind that I forget to pay for the parking. And then, when I get back, I have a notice on my car, and it's happened two days in a row and I'm absolutely fuming about it.' Article continues below 'It is entirely my own fault. You know when you just see that little sticker on your car and you think, 'Oh God, here we go, there's another one, just throw that money away Di'.' Dianne Buswell and Joe Sugg met on Strictly (Image: Getty) Elsewhere, Dianne, who won Strictly in 2024 with comedian Chris, has also spoken candidly about whether she and Joe will have children together. ‌ Speaking to Prima magazine, Dianne said that although a family is something they both want, it's all about timing. She said: 'We've always wanted kids, it's just finding the right time. I don't feel worried about taking time out from dancing, I just don't see the point in worrying. 'When everything aligns, it will happen. I have to have that vision. I like to practise manifestation, I'm quite spiritual.' ‌ Dianne Buswell and Joe Sugg have been dating for over five years Dianne added that because she is relaxed about planning her future with Joe, she can focus more on her career. She said: 'I plan my work a lot, but that's probably as far as I go with planning. I'm quite an unorganised person actually. Article continues below 'Joe and I don't really talk about that kind of thing. We're both so relaxed so we just play it by ear. We really enjoy each other's company so much and whatever happens, happens." Joe Sugg is appearing on Richard Osman's House of Games tonight (August 18) on BBC Two at 6pm.

Sam is skilled when it comes to her cosmetic application, and has figured out where to place her products to dramatically alter look. On the other side, she put it under the cheekbone. Blusher was next, as Sam put it above the bronzer on the -3kg side, the left, before putting it on the apple of her cheek on the other. She finished off with concealer. On the left she put a horizontal line from the corner of her mouth, and another from the side of her nostril. She then put it under the corner of her inner eye, and underneath the wing. On the other side, she applied a generous amount of concealer in a triangle shape beneath the eye. Sam then blended the make-up together, and showed just how different the application positions made her look. Unsurprisingly, the comments section was filled with people stunned by Sam's make-up talent. "Power of make up," one wrote. I tried the viral '53 method' to banish my 'chins' without going under the knife and the results were astonishing "It's crazy, make-up is magic," another said. "Witch! Looks amazing!" a third praised. "Wow the power of make-up," someone else said. "The +3kg make up looks better on you," another commented. "The +3kg look is much more charming, more human, and warm," someone else said. "The -3kg look is plastic, and cold." Top 3 beauty products every woman should be using Hayley Walker, Beauty Expert at Justmylook shared the holy-grail products every woman needs to be using. A cleanser, SPF, and hair oil are must-haves within beauty routines. A cleanser is crucial for healthy skin as it removes dirt, oil, and other impurities for flawless skin. This skincare step not only cleanses the face and removes dirt, but also prevents breakouts and premature skin ageing, helping you maintain a healthy, youthful, and blemish-free complexion. The Aveeno Face Calm+ Restore Nourishing Oat Cleanser is a go-to of mine due to its gentle formula that soothes and restores the skin's appearance and texture. SPF is non-negotiable and should be in everyone's daily skincare routine. Even on cooler, cloudier days, our skin is exposed to the sun's UV rays which can be harmful to unprotected skin and even lead to damage. These damages include sunburn, pigmentation changes, and wrinkles which can impact the skin's texture and appearance. In some cases, prolonged exposure to UV rays can cause skin cancer. Applying SPF daily prevents these damages and protects the skin from harmful rays. I recommend the Beauty Of Joseon Rice & Prebiotic Sunscreen PA++++ SPF50+ for its lightweight, non-clumping texture that absorbs quickly for a natural finish and maximum protection. Hair oil has many benefits and should be regularly used. This treatment can strengthen and protect the hair from external stressors while improving its appearance and shine. Regularly applying hair oil can also reduce breakage and even encourage hair growth for longer, fuller locks. Hair oils also target the scalp, reducing dandruff and improving its health through exfoliation. I recommend using this deeply nourishing treatment a couple of times a week or more depending on the hair's moisture levels. The Hair Syrup Rapunzel Pre-Wash Oil Treatment is a nutrient-rich treatment that revitalises strands to promote a happy scalp and healthy-looking locks. Apply the syrup throughout damp hair before washing; massage from root to tip and allow the formula to penetrate strands before rinsing and styling. However, others insisted the only reason Sam looked so different on either side of her face was because the two sides were different in the first place. "It's not just make-up," one insisted. "Her face is different on each side!" "Wait no this is asymmetrical facial features," another wrote, adding: "That really had my brain in a twist for a solid minute!" "It's the position of the heavy eye liner on the left," a third insisted. "Wait is it just me or is one eye higher than the other?" someone else asked. "No hate though! You're really pretty!"
