Maha: Shiv Sena (UBT) leader slams Fadnavis, Shinde
Mumbai, June 24 (UNI) Shiv Sena (UBT) leader and MP Sanjay Raut on Tuesday lashed out at state Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and his deputy Eknath Shinde over alleged neglect of the Marathi language and their bid to promote Hindi language, accusing them of being enemies of Maharashtra.
Fadnavis is the Chief Minister of this Marathi state and he should first work to improve poor condition of the Marathi schools, he said.
Criticising further, Raut said that Fadnavis should see how the Marathi language can gain strength and how the Marathi people can live with dignity in Marathi soil.
The Sena (UBT) leader cautioned the Chief Minister to take care that he does not become a slave of industrialist Gautam Adani and Lodha Builders.
There is no need for Maharashtra to take Hindi seriously, he asserted and said that people of
Maharashtra and Mumbai know Hindi.
"If there was enmity between Maharashtra and Hindi, would Hindi films, literature and schools be running in the state," he questioned.

Rahul Accuses CM Fadnavis of Voter Fraud; Fadnavis Hits Back
Nagpur: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi alleged voter manipulation and electoral malpractice in CM Devendra Fadnavis ' constituency of South-West Nagpur, claiming a surge in voter numbers in the 5-month period between Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in 2024. Fadnavis shot back, saying Gandhi was lying and the spike in voters was witnessed even in constituencies where Congress and its allies won. In a post on X, Gandhi wrote "In Maharashtra CM's own constituency, the voter list grew by 8% in just 5 months. Some booths saw a 20-50% surge. Booth level officers (BLO) reported unknown individuals casting votes. Media uncovered thousands of voters with no verified address". Gandhi even took on Election Commission of India (ECI), saying what happened was a vote heist. Gandhi wrote "And EC? Silent or complicit. These aren't isolated glitches. This is vote theft. The cover-up is the confession. That's why we demand immediate release of machine-readable digital voter rolls and CCTV footage." Earlier this month, Gandhi had alleged voter fraud across Maharashtra and cited Kamptee constituency, which is represented by BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule. BJP had responded by saying due to rapid urbanization, number of voters had risen in Kamptee. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 유일한 공식 무료 SOC 게임! 설치도 없습니다! 경복의 바다 게임 플레이 Undo You Can Also Check: Nagpur AQI | Weather in Nagpur | Bank Holidays in Nagpur | Public Holidays in Nagpur But now with Gandhi directly taking on Fadnavis, the stakes just got bigger. Fadnavis said, Gandhi is still reeling from last year's assembly poll defeat hence such statements. "Jhoot bole kauwa kaate", wrote Fadnavis on X, "it's clear that your pain of poll defeat is increasing everyday but how long will you keep firing blanks?". After the sarcasm, Fadnavis got down to hard statistics, saying surge in number of voters is a statewide phenomenon. "There are more than 25 constituencies in Maharashtra where voter turnout rose by over 8% between Lok Sabha and Assembly elections, and Congress won in many of those places," wrote Fadnavis. Fadnavis concluded by mocking Gandhi, saying it would have been better if he had spoken with Congress MLAs whose constituencies witnessed a voter surge before polls. "At least it would have not resulted in display of miscommunication within Congress," wrote Fadnavis.

Bihar is soul of India and birthplace of its philosophical foundation: Jagdeep Dhankhar
Muzaffarpur, June 24 (UNI) Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar today described Bihar as the soul of India and the birthplace of its philosophical foundation, recalling the state's glorious historical, intellectual, and constitutional legacy. Addressing a public gathering at the foundation day ceremony of Lalit Narayan Mishra College of Business Management here, Dhankhar said, "Bihar was once the global centre of learning, with Nalanda, Vikramshila, and Odantapuri being not just universities, but civilisations." Dhankhar highlighted the significance of Bihar, saying it is the land where Buddha attained enlightenment, Mahavira achieved spiritual awakening, and the philosophical foundation of India was born. He highlighted that ancient knowledge, social justice, and modern aspirations coexist in Bihar, which will fetch global recognition for the country. Referring to the Champaran Satyagraha launched by Mahatma Gandhi, Dhankhar said it turned the issue of farmers into a national cause and introduced a new grammar of governance based on truth, dignity, and fearless service. Dhankhar also spoke about the rich history of Nalanda University, which was a residential university with 10,000 students and 2,000 teachers, attracting scholars from across the world. He lamented the barbaric attacks by foreign invaders on Nalanda, particularly the burning of its library by Bakhtiyar Khilji in 1192. Discussing the National Education Policy 2020, Dhankhar said it aims to create skilled professionals, contented citizens, employment generators, knowledgeable humans, and build a country that reflects the collective aspirations of the nation. He emphasised that education in India has always been value-based and character-building, connecting with life values. Dhankhar also referred to the Emergency, terming June 25 as the darkest chapter of Indian democracy when the Constitution was "murdered". He praised Jayaprakash Narayan for lighting the flame of democracy and said the 'Total Revolution' was a call for national reawakening. UNI RS AKT SSP

Fadnavis Must Quit for ‘Theft Of Democracy': Congress
Nagpur: Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Harshwardhan Sapkal on Tuesday termed the 8% surge in voters in chief minister Devendra Fadnavis's Nagpur Southwest constituency in just five months 'electoral theft'. He demanded that Fadnavis resign on moral grounds, claiming that voter manipulation and suspicious voter roll expansion helped the BJP-led alliance return to power in the state despite a poor showing in the Lok Sabha elections. "Within five months, the voter list in the CM's constituency at certain booths grew 20% to 50%. This cannot be anything but organised electoral fraud," Sapkal said. He added that booth-level officers (BLOs) flagged unknown individuals casting votes, yet the Election Commission remained silent. Referring to BJP state president Chandrashekhar Bawankule's Kamptee constituency, where Congress had earlier alleged serious voter roll anomalies, Sapkal said similar manipulation had now surfaced in Fadnavis's stronghold. "With Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi raising the issue of electoral rigging repeatedly, more evidence is coming to light every day. This is not just voter list manipulation; it's the theft of democracy," he claimed. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo You Can Also Check: Nagpur AQI | Weather in Nagpur | Bank Holidays in Nagpur | Public Holidays in Nagpur The MPCC chief further questioned how the BJP, which suffered a decisive defeat in the parliamentary polls, could bounce back with a landslide in the state elections within just five months. He alleged that after 5pm on polling day, a sudden spike in voting was recorded, and the final turnout figures released the next day showed a suspicious 8% hike. "To date, the Election Commission has failed to give any credible explanation for this rise," he said. Criticising the poll body's decision to delete CCTV footage 45 days after polling, Sapkal said it was a move designed to cover up the tampering. "Instead of ensuring transparency, the Election Commission has framed rules that make information inaccessible. Deleting CCTV footage is nothing but an attempt to bury the truth," he asserted. Nitin Raut, former minister and senior Congress leader said, "BJP added 20,000 of their voters in my constituency, still failed to defeat me. But yes, due to this my lead came down." CM Fadnavis in his tweet had said that Rahul Gandhi should have spoken with Nitin Raut first as his constituency saw a jump in number of voters too. Congress has demanded the immediate publication of machine-readable digital electoral rolls and access to all CCTV footage to allow public scrutiny.
