CM: Milan facing Camarda crossroads with Monza still interested
Francesco Camarda recently turned 17, and the AC Milan management are thinking about the best course of action for his immediate and long-term future.
As Calciomercato.com writes, Camarda as had a rather difficult season shuttling between Milan Futuro and the first team. The management of the club of a very young talent has ended up in the crosshairs of criticism as he has not had enough game time, and thus hasn't scored much.
He has only 1417 minutes played this season with four goals scored (two in Serie C, one in the Coppa Italia Serie C and one in the UEFA Youth League). This is not enough for a striker who has made great strides in terms of professionalism but who, overall, just needed to play football.
The Camarda issue will be one of the priorities that the future sporting director of Milan will have to address. Francesco must play and Serie C, which he has played in on 13 occasions during this season, does not seem to be the best training ground to grow physically and technically.
Adriano Galliani had everything agreed to sign Camarda for Monza on a two-year dry loan in the winter mercato, but then Zlatan Ibrahimovic stepped in and took on the responsibility of blocking the deal.
The club from Brianza still hopes to welcome Camarda next season, even in the event of a probable relegation to Serie B. The agents of the young Rossoneri talent hope for a loan transfer but trying an experience in the top division as a protagonist.

Exclusive: Chelsea reject €30m bids for midfielder from Premier League teams
Chelsea are getting their squad sorted for the Club World Cup and next season, and that means a busy few weeks. Chelsea dealing with their loan army one by one Andrey Santos in Strasbourg training. There are transfers incoming – Liam Delap has been signed and various others are being strongly linked. But there's also the question of what to do with all of the players returning from loan. Advertisement It's felt like the giant squad of last summer was a problem of the past, but so many players who were 'out of sight, out of mind' are now back and will need to find a new home once again. Many of them – Raheem Sterling, Armando Broja, Lesley Ugochukwu, the list goes on – we expect to be sold. But there are others who feel like they have a strong chance of staying. Chief among that group is Andrey Santos. His second half of last season was impressive enough that there some some consideration of him staying for this season just passed, so after a brilliant 12 months on loan with Strasbourg, we're sure he's joining the squad. Chelsea reject €30m offers out of hand We've heard whispers about the club considering selling him, but our sources have told us exclusively that that's not on the cards. Verbal offers of €30m were rejected out of hand by Chelsea, who probably wouldn't even sell for double that. He's just joined up with the Brazil squad, hoping to add a second cap and another chunk of change to his value. It's not clear who those bids came from – but Arsenal, AC Milan, Juventus and PSG are all apparently interested. From what we can see, Santos looks ready to be a key part of our squad, and nobody is ready to make us an offer we can't refuse.

Christian Pulisic Turns Heads with Reaction to Criticism Amid USMNT Absence
Christian Pulisic Turns Heads with Reaction to Criticism Amid USMNT Absence originally appeared on Athlon Sports. On Thursday, the United States Men's National Team made it official that head coach Mauricio Pochettino will be heading to the CONCACAF Gold Cup — the final major tournament before the United States co-hosts the 2026 World Cup — without team captain Christian Pulisic. Advertisement According to ESPN, Pulisic and his team proposed the break to the U.S. Soccer Federation (USSF) after Pulisic played more than 3,500 minutes in all competitions for AC Milan across the 2024-2025 season. Fellow national team veterans Weston McKennie, Timothy Weah, Giovanni Reyna, Antonee Robinson and Yunus Musah are also missing after their respective European campaigns. Since Pulisic's absence was first reported, criticism has been repeatedly aimed at the Yanks' No. 10, most recently from USMNT legend Landon Donovan on Sunday. United States Men's National Team and AC Milan forward Christian Pulisic (10).Jeff Curry-Imagn Images The Pulisic family did not take kindly to Donovan's veiled comments after 40-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo battled through injury to help Portugal win the UEFA Nations League — a continental trophy similar to the Gold Cup. Advertisement "This is what it means to represent your country,' Donovan said on Fox Sports' coverage of Portugal's win over Spain. '(Cristiano Ronaldo) is 40 years old. He played a long-(expletive) season. He was out there grinding and hurt himself in the process. And I can't help but think about some of our guys who are on vacation not wanting to play in Gold Cup. It's pissing me off.' Pulisic's father, Mark, heard Donovan's criticism and clapped back Sunday night on Instagram. "This guy is .. talking about commitment.. look in the mirror + grow a pair and call names out or are you afraid next time you want an interview you will get rejected again," he wrote in an Instagram post. Advertisement His son liked the post — the first public response of any kind from the American captain since his Gold Cup absence was first reported. USMNT fans sounded off with their thoughts on social media. "This is getting spicy," wrote one fan on X. "I remember how awkward Pulisic and Donovan were speaking to each other last year. I just assumed they were both introverted but looks like something was already brewing in the background." "This is reminiscent of Claudio Reyna coming to his son's defense," noted a response. "Circumstances are different but it is sad that this kind of drama follows our star USMNT players." Advertisement "Donovan helped the US make the quarterfinals of the World Cup," said one reply. "What has Pulisic won with the USMNT?" "Why hasn't Pulisic said ANYTHING himself?" a fan said of the captain. "He's letting everyone else talk for him. It doesn't show any sense of leadership or responsibility." Pulisic has 32 goals and 18 assists in 76 appearances for the United States, but he will not add to that total this summer. After losing to Turkiye 2-1 on Saturday, USMNT plays another warm up friendly on Tuesday against Switzerland before beginning the Gold Cup on Sunday against Trinidad and Tobago.
