First phase of historic Sheikh's Fortress renovation completed in Rijal Almaa
It is one of the heritage sites in Jareen, one of six development zones within the Soudah Peaks project, according to a report.
Sheikh's Fortress is one of three heritage sites receiving emergency repairs through a collaboration between Soudah Development and the Tourist Villages Cooperative Society of Rijal Almaa, under a deal signed last year.
The collaboration includes emergency repairs of Sheikh's Fortress, Bee House and Hamidiyah Fortress, the report said.
It is part of broader efforts by Soudah Development to preserve and protect architectural and cultural heritage within the Soudah Peaks project area, which includes about 300 historical and cultural sites.
The goal is to provide exceptional experiences for tourists and residents, create job opportunities, and boost the regional and national economy.
With the first phase of repairs complete, Sheikh's Fortress will symbolize the region's rich architectural, cultural and historical identity, and help promote local heritage.
Soudah Peaks will be a luxury mountain destination inspired by local architectural identity. The project includes six distinctive zones: Tahlal, Sahab, Sabrah, Jareen, Rijal and Red Rock.
It will offer luxury tourism, hospitality and residential experiences, and is expected to create thousands of direct and indirect jobs while generating long-term economic impact for the region and the Kingdom.

Do keep in mind, however, that they are pretty heavy and you might not have much. Visitors will love the shakshouka. The eggs can be cooked according to your preference and the tomato flavor really shines through. It is served with a feta cream cheese on the edges for those who like their eggs a little creamier, and homemade sourdough bread that, as a bread fanatic, is so good you might eat it on its own. UPSTAIRS also has a selection of flat breads that contain different types of cheese, a shiitake mushroom and truffle one, pepperoni, musakhan chicken and more. Some other items on the menu promise more than they can deliver. The richy omelette does not live up to its name. The creamy mushroom sauce it comes with is good but the omelette itself is flat and does not taste very good. You might skip it if you like. You must also try the breakfast burrito — an item not often seen in Saudi breakfast options. The UPSTAIRS burrito comes with oven-roasted potatoes, avocado and eggs. What is not to love? Definitely try it out to see if it lives up to its potential. You may also order karak tea for the table. It is fine and enjoyable enough but definitely not the best karak in the city. UPSTAIRS has a whole host of other items available including sweet potatoes topped with scrambled eggs and avocados, eggplant fatteh, Tunisian eggs, Turkish eggs, foul, scrambled eggs on a croissant, halloumi dishes and a selection of sweet items as well like banana French toast, acai, blueberry pancakes and other snacky bits.

Riyadh Air Signs Global Distribution Deal with Spain's Amadeus to Fuel Expansion Plans
Riyadh Air, Saudi Arabia's new national carrier and a wholly owned subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund, has signed a global distribution agreement with Spain-based Amadeus, a leading travel technology provider. The strategic move will give the airline access to one of the world's largest networks of travel agents, bolstering its growth strategy and supporting the Kingdom's transformation drive under Vision 2030. According to an Amadeus statement issued Thursday, the partnership will enable Riyadh Air to join the Amadeus Travel Platform, connecting it with travel agents and distributors in over 190 countries. The agreement is aimed at ensuring the airline's offerings reach travelers worldwide, enhancing Saudi Arabia's appeal as a global tourism destination and reinforcing its role as a central hub for aviation and travel. Vincent Coste, Chief Commercial Officer of Riyadh Air, said the company's mission is to build a world-class airline that embodies Saudi Arabia's ambitions. He added that the partnership with Amadeus provides the global reach, distribution strength, and retailing capabilities needed to achieve the airline's goal of serving more than 100 destinations by 2030.
