Blake Lively's tribute to her PT after Justin Baldoni allegedly 'fat-shamed' her

Daily Mail21 hours ago

Blake Lively shared a gushing post to her personal trainer, Don Saladino, who Justin Baldoni allegedly 'fat-shamed' her to.
The actress, 37, joined the fitness coach to plug her brand Blake Brown Beauty.
It comes amid her ongoing legal drama with Baldoni - and only days after it was revealed that she dropped claims that her It Ends With Us co-star and director had caused her emotional distress.
Lively reposted a reel that was originally shared to Saladino's Instagram page as he tried to guess which Hair and Body Mist that her husband Ryan Reynolds wears.
She then added the message: '@donsaladino I love you buddy. Despite your inability to identify any notes in our new @blakebrownbeauty Hair & Body Mist.
'You've kept me strong and confident in my body for the past 15 years. Through 4 pregnancies and post partum. Action movies. Major life events. Daily life. You are steady and kind and are made of rock solid integrity.
'I'm so proud to have you and Mel in my life... Get you a best buddy who knows your husband's smell.'
The video was also uploaded to Don's main Instagram page and in the caption, the personal trainer wrote how 'proud' he is of the actress.
'Blake I'm so proud of you,' he began. 'The Blake Brown line is absolutely incredible. I hope that everyone tries it. Mel and I love you.'
The fitness coach was notably dragged into her lawsuit with Justin when she claimed that the actor had 'fat-shamed' her to Saladino by asking him about her weight.
In February 2023, Justin was introduced to the fitness coach by Blake as he prepared for a leading role in the adaptation of Colleen Hoover's novel It Ends With Us.
According to Justin, he was going to get advice from Saladino - such as 'nutrition and exercise' - due to his back injury.
Justin signed up for the personal trainer's meal delivery service but also asked advice when it came to training to help him prepare for a scene where he needed to lift Blake.
At one point in the conversation, the director had asked Don about the actress's weight - which he claimed had been in 'good faith' and also a 'reasonable question' to ask a fitness coach.
However the following day, Justinclaimed that he was asked over to Blake's home where he was confronted by her husband Ryan Reynolds.
The actor accused Justin of fat-shaming his wife and Justin alleged that Ryan had screamed: 'How dare you f***ing ask about my wife's weight? What's wrong with you?'
It was alleged that Ryan requested that the lift scene be taken out of the movie as well.
Earlier this year amid the ongoing lawsuit, Saladino edited a post from last year and voiced his support for Blake.
He wrote: 'To be clear – Justin Baldoni is not my client. I created a complimentary program for him as a favor to a client. I have never trained him virtually or in person.
'I never met him in person. We communicated via calls & text from January to March 2023. I could not accommodate his schedule, and found him a coach. After an uncomfortable conversation, communication ended.
'Not only is Blake my client, she is also my very dear friend. She has treated me with unmatched kindness for over 15 years. Fair weather friends are not friends.
'We love you B. You are always lifting up others. It's why Mel & I love you so much. You have always been there for me. You have always had my back. B, I hope you feel the same.'
Earlier this week, a new development was made amid the lawsuit as Blake dropped her claim that Justin intentionally caused her emotional distress, after his legal team demanded to see medical proof.
Although the actress has now dropped the claims, he will still have to defend himself over her other claims which include sexual harassment and the orchestration of a smear campaign against her.
Justin is also pursuing a $400million countersuit of his own that claims defamation and accuses Blake of damaging his reputation and career.

Chilling true story behind real-life exorcism of 'possessed' woman that inspired Al Pacino's The Ritual

Hollywood legend Al Pacino is starring in his first ever horror movie, The Ritual. The terrifying film is based on the real-life exorcism of Emma Schmidt in Iowa back in 1928. The case is the most documented exorcism in history, largely thanks to theologian Carl Vogl's 1935 book Begone Satan. It's also believed to have partially inspired the 1973 horror classic, The Exorcist. While some specific details of Schmidt's life and alleged demonic possession are unclear, most accounts state that she started showing signs of Satanic interference from as young as 14. Schmidt, who was raised Catholic, began hearing 'sinister inner voices' that compelled her to do 'shameful and unmentionable' things, according to Vogl's book. Some of her behavior included sexual acts, an aversion to holy objects, and the urge to attack her spiritual advisor. According to Bloody Disgusting, Schmidt was 'uniquely aware of the presence of religious artefacts'. If somebody approached her with a holy object, even if it was hidden, she could sense it and would fly into a rage. She was also 'highly sensitive to holy water', to the point that she once refused a meal that had been sprinkled with a few blessed drops. Multiple doctors examined her at the time and could find no signs of mental or physical illness, which only further fueled the theory that she'd been possessed. Schmidt underwent her first exorcism in 1912 at the hands of Father Theophilus Riesinger, who is played by Pacino in The Ritual. At one point, it was suspected that she had been possessed by her Aunt Mina, who was believed to be a witch. While little is known about her first exorcism, Riesinger returned almost two decades later in 1928 to perform a second exorcism. This one was far more elaborate, with Riesinger and another priest, Father Joseph Stieger, played by Dan Stevens in The Ritual, taking Schmidt to a convent in Earling, Iowa. Schmidt was given a pseudonym, Anna Ecklund, to protect her identity during the chilling exorcism. The second exorcism was performed in three sessions over a period of four months, totalling 23 days in total. Riesinger claimed that Schmidt was possessed by four different spirits, including her own father, who had unsuccessfully tried to get his daughter to commit incest with him. According to Vogl's book, Schmidt levitated in the air, vomited repeatedly, contorted her body, and made inhuman animal noises during the exorcism. Eventually, Riesinger completed the ritual after three consecutive nights and days with no breaks. Schmidt survived and lived out the rest of her life in peace, although some reports claim that she suffered from mild possessions over the years until her death. Her case largely remained a secret until a widely-read Time magazine article was published in 1936, Religion: Exorcist & Energumen. Now Schmidt's chilling story is being brought to life in The Ritual. Directed by indie filmmaker David Midell, the movie sees Pacino transform into Father Riesinger, who teams up with Dan Stevens's conflicted Father Steiger to banish a demonic spirit from, Schmidt, who is portrayed by Abigail Cowen. It's new territory for Pacino, who has steered away from the horror genre throughout his illustrious career. The closest that the 85-year-old has come to horror is the psychological thrillers The Devil's Advocate, Insomnia, and 88 Minutes.

Love Island fans convinced Ben doesn't fancy stunning American bombshell Toni as they spot giveaway sign

LOVE Island fans are convinced Ben doesn't fancy new bombshell Toni - despite the fact she stole him from Shakira in the series opener. Loyal ITV2 viewers threatened to call Ofcom over a brutal show twist which saw the American's arrival as the latest instalment kicked off. 7 7 7 Love Island anchor Maya Jama, 30, delivered a huge bombshell when she entered the villa for a second time in episode one. Her bombshell was that a bombshell was arriving. Glam girl Toni, 24 - who is the first ever late show arrival from the United States - then arrived. The couples were left stunned as Las Vegas pool cabana server Toni said: "Good Evening UK! Surprise!" They quickly worked out she is American and on being the first American bombshell Toni says: "Lucky girl, aren't I?" Maya then explained that Toni was to immediately steal a boy. Toni then opted for Ben, 23, meaning Shakira was left single and vulnerable. Yet viewers aren't convinced it's a winning match. One took to X to write: "Ben doesn't fancy that girl btw." Another mused: "Ben doesn't even look like he wants to be there. This season is about to be a mess." A third then added: "Ben did not want to be picked." It remains to be seen what the taxi driver's next move is - and if he will take the time to get to know Toni, who recently revealed her crippling health battle. NEXT STEPS During Monday's episode, Maya then revealed that Burnley lass Shakira is now single. Maya clarified the brunette beauty wouldn't be dumped from the villa immediately, but instead had 24 hours to graft and steal a boy from someone else. She isn't allowed to take Ben back from Antonia, and if she doesn't get chosen, she'll be packing her bags. But if she does get selected in the next re-coupling round, another girl will be going home. Leaving the group with that cliffhanger, Maya then suggested that the girls keep their "boys very close". The show's six couples with Shakira single are now Toni and Ben, Meg and Dejon, Sophie and Harry, Helena and Conor, Alima and Blu, and Megan and Tommy. Yet it might not look good for Shakira, who entered the villa first alongside Meg Moore, 25. She promptly offended swathes of viewers as she made a stark comment about 9-5 jobs. Netflix time travel film with A-list star is 'everything you need from a movie'

The 2022 sci-fi action comedy features an A-list Hollywood cast — right from Ryan Reynolds and Mark Ruffalo to Jennifer Garner and Zoe Saldaña — bringing together some of the biggest names in the industry Netflix's ambitious 2022 film The Adam Project is a heartwarming sci-fi action comedy starring Ryan Reynolds who is supported by a top-tier, A-list cast of Hollywood's biggies. The film has been directed by Reynolds' longtime friend and collaborator, Shawn Levy, with writing credits for T. S. Nowlin, Jonathan Tropper, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett. ‌ Production on The Adam Project first began all the way back in 2012. At the time, Tom Cruise was said to be attached to the film, however the movie subsequently fell into developmental hell until it was rescued by Netflix as the streaming giant acquired its distribution rights. ‌ Set in a dystopian 2050, the Netflix original sees Reynolds take on the role of Adam Reed — a fighter pilot who steals a time jet in order to land in 2018 in a bid to save his wife Laura (played by Zoe Saldaña). Laura's assassination was ordered by Sorian (Catherine Keener) who is trying to monopolise time travel, however in his efforts, Adam ends up crash-landing in 2022 where he comes face-to-face with his 12-year-old self (Walker Scobell). In 2022, the younger Adam is struggling with being bullied in school and has become distant from his mother Ellie (Jennifer Garner) after being severely impacted by the death of his father, Louis Reed (Mark Ruffalo), the previous year. On March 9, 2022, Ryan Reynolds' film had a limited "one night only" theatrical release, followed by its streaming release two days later — on March 11. The Adam Project proved to be extremely successful for Netflix, squarely ranking as the streamer's third most popular film worldwide at the time, garnering 157.6 million views within the first 28 days of its release. The film opened to mixed reviews from critics, with one saying: 'I enjoyed The Adam Project, its past, present, and future permutations an exciting joyride fit for the whole family.' ‌ While another reviewer was not that impressed: 'It's an assemblage of ideas from other popular films that just hangs there with little cohesion. It's like watching a movie that hasn't been made yet.' One critic felt it was: 'A movie with so many octopus ambitions is unlikely to pull off any of them, and that's the bind The Adam Project finds itself in." While another called it: 'Funny, fast-paced and surprisingly tender.' ‌ Audience reviews followed suit, with some left impressed, while others didn't care for Ryan Reynolds' offering. A viewer placed The Adam Project bang in the middle of the line and wrote: "It's basically what you'd expect from a time travel movie. Really enjoy sci-fi stuff, and this was another solid addition. Nothing crazy, but nothing really against it. Thought it was a really good cast as well. Ryan Reynolds continues to shine in whatever role he is in. Had a good amount of laughs. Also thought it was visually well done. Overall, not bad!" While another said: 'The type of movie that you'll forget 5min after you watch it. Full of clichés and the "science" part is beyond laughable.' One viewer said of the film: 'One of my favourite movies. Literally anything you will want from a movie, it's funny, it's exciting, it's emotional, it's interesting, it has great character and actors, just absolutely amazing, if you like action, fantasy, sci-fi, time travel - YOU WILL LOVE THIS MOVIE!!'
