Despite finishing in P4 at the Austrian Grand Prix, Ferrari driver Lewis Hamilton is waiting for upgrades on the SF-25 this season amid his discomfort in the car.
Ferrari brought a new floor and suspension to the Austrian race.
The results showed some progress, but the car's brakes suffered issues during the Grand Prix, and Hamilton is already looking forward to this issue being fixed.
"Compared to McLaren, I don't think anyone's catching them. But never say never. Hopefully, with our next upgrade, that works the way we hope it works. Maybe that will bring us a little bit closer," Hamilton told reporters after the race.

"I'm trying to work with the engineers to make sure we rectify some of the issues with this car. There's a few problems that we're fixing."
Ferrari had the second-fastest car on the grid in Austria, and Hamilton was close to Charles Leclerc throughout the race weekend.
This season, Hamilton has struggled when compared to Leclerc, especially in qualifying, but the seven-time champion qualified less than a tenth of a second away from his teammate.
In the race, he followed Leclerc and finished one spot behind him.
Hamilton came away happy from the outing but noted some remaining issues with the SF-25.
"It's pretty great to see the team bringing the upgrade. We've moved forwards. We've been the second fastest this weekend. Third and fourth is a real positive," Hamilton said.
"There's lots of good things to take from the weekend, and there's lots of areas to focus on. Qualifying was better. We found a problem that I had in my qualifying lap, which was near a tenth.
"There was some issue on the car, so that's again a positive. But I would have gone back if I had started second. I've got to find race pace, that's key.
"Still losing massive ground. We lose eight seconds, nine seconds - compared to Charles."
If Hamilton continues to establish himself in the Italian team and grows in comfort, he could get off to a better start.

Days of Thunder 2: Tom Cruise Sequel Could Crossover With Brad Pitt's F1

With news of a Days of Thunder 2 heating up, director Joseph Kosinski recently pitched an idea that could see Tom Cruise's racing movie crossover with the upcoming F1. Speaking to GQ, Kosinski — who directed Top Gun: Maverick and the upcoming F1 — was asked what his pitch would be if he got the chance to do a movie with both Brad Pitt and Cruise. Kosinski said that, should he get the chance, it would be a crossover movie between F1 and Days of Thunder. 'Well, right now, it'd be Cole Trickle, who was [Cruise's] Days of Thunder character, we find out that he and Sonny Hayes have a past,' said Kosinski. 'They were rivals at some point, maybe crossed paths… I heard about this epic go-kart battle on Interview with a Vampire that Brad and Tom had, and who wouldn't pay to see those two go head-to-head on the track?' It was reported in November 2024 that Cruise was talking to Paramount about potentially making a Days of Thunder 2, though the sequel has not been officially confirmed at this time. Cruise reaffirmed that the project was still being discussed in May 2025. NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon, who has known Cruise for many years, also said in a recent interview that a sequel was moving forward. The synopsis for the first Days of Thunder movie reads, 'In the fast-paced world of NASCAR, a rivalry brews between rookie hotshot Cole Trickle (Cruise) and veteran racer Rowdy Burns (Rooker). When both of them are seriously injured in competition, the former bitter rivals become close friends. With Cole's spirits restored by a romance with neurosurgeon Dr. Claire Lewicki (Kidman), and Rowdy still sidelined by injuries, Cole decides to race Rowdy's car in the Daytona 500 against underhanded newcomer Russ Wheeler (Elwes).' How F1: The Movie locked down an astounding $40 million in real sponsorship

The Brad Pitt racing action film F1: The Movie dominated the box office over its opening weekend, pulling in $55.6 million domestically and $144 million world wide. It's the best performance not only for an Apple original film, it's also the biggest opening weekend for any live-action movie based on racing (it beat out Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby's $47 million). THE BEST RACING MOVIES OF ALL TIME: The 9 greatest racing films ever While the budget of F1: The Movie has been estimated anywhere from $200-$300 million, a piece of that has apparently been chipped away by actual sponsorship sales. In the fictional story, washed up driver Sonny Hayes (Pitt) ends up joining the APX GP Formula 1 racing team alongside up-and-coming rookie Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris). While APX GP isn't a real team, the sponsorships for the driving team certainly were. According to Forbes, producer David Leneer racked up around $40 million in actual sponsorships, including Mercedes, OMP, Tommy Hilfiger, Shark, Geico, EA Sports and APX GP's main sponsor Expensify. Leneer, who Forbes' Matt Craig described as "a pioneer of brand integrations in movies for nearly 30 years," brought in more dollars for F1: The Movie than his other projects like Top Gun: Maverick or the National Treasure and Transformers series. It's a far more natural fit to put brands and logos into a movie that features a sport that is normally covered in brands and logos, but it is certainly a fascinating piece to Apple's latest release.

Brad Pitt's F1 movie has fans racing to book this unique London experience amid box office success

If you're a Formula 1 superfan riding the high of Brad Pitt's F1: The Movie blockbuster, there's a luxurious London pit stop you need on your radar. Hot off the heels of the film's record-breaking global box office debut, Hilton has unveiled the ultimate motorsport staycation: a bespoke 'Stay Like McLaren Racing' suite at London's five-star Trafalgar St. James Hotel, Curio Collection by Hilton. Approved by McLaren stars Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri, the exclusive suite marks 20 years of the hotel brand's high-speed partnership with the iconic racing team. Step through the suite's signature papaya-orange door and guests will find themselves immersed in the high-octane world of McLaren. Think Formula 1 memorabilia lining the walls, images of Norris and Piastri in action and a slick, futuristic design inspired by the team's paddock presence. But the showstopper? Twin racing simulators so you can channel your inner Norris (or Damson Idris) and take on the virtual track yourself. There's also a pit wall-style media console streaming race-day action and an in-room bar stocked with daily smoothie deliveries to keep you hydrated like a pro. It's not just about the thrills, it's about recovery too. The suite is kitted out with performance-focused nutrition options and restorative wellness amenities, ensuring fans can recharge with the same care as the athletes themselves. Timed perfectly around the 2025 British Grand Prix, the suite is available to book from July 8 to 20. It's also stone's throw from Trafalgar Square, where McLaren Racing Live: London will take over on July 2 and 3 with fan events, live Q&As and driver appearances. And the collaboration doesn't end in London. Another coveted spot for the upcoming GP weekend is the Hilton Garden Inn Silverstone Rooftop, with VIP views over the circuit during race weekend. With the McLaren duo fresh off a dominant 1-2 finish in Austria, hype for the British GP will be reaching fever pitch. As if the F1 fever wasn't already high, news of the suite comes just as Brad Pitt revealed he 'didn't sleep for 36 hours' after driving a 2023 McLaren MCL60 amid the promotion for F1. Speaking on BBC Radio 1, the Hollywood star admitted he hit a top speed of 197mph at the Circuit of The Americas in Austin, delivering on Norris' advice not to 'c**k it up.' 'It was Lando's '23 [car],' Pitt shared. 'I did not sleep for 36 hours afterwards. I was on such a high.' Pitt's adrenaline-fuelled scenes were filmed during actual race weekends, beginning with the 2023 British Grand Prix, with many of the sport's real-life stars appearing as themselves. The buzz surrounding F1: The Movie continues to grow, with the film now setting a new record as the biggest box office opening ever for an Apple Original, surpassing Killers of the Flower Moon. According to Deadline, the film hit $144 million globally and has already pulled in $55 million across the US and Canada alone.
