ABU DHABI - The UAE Verify platform, affiliated with the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA), has issued over 21.789 million certified digital documents since its launch in mid-January 2022.
TDRA introduced the UAE Verify platform to enable government and private entities to verify the authenticity of digital documents issued by government authorities on an immediate basis and without the need for original hard copy or true copy.
The platform continues to play a vital role in advancing the UAE's comprehensive digital transformation. It now supports verification for 55 types of digital documents, issued by 22 federal and local government entities.
UAE Verify employs blockchain technology, a shared, immutable real-time ledger used to record financial transactions, contracts and various types of documents. This technology helps regulate data and digital documents, verify authenticity, facilitate information sharing and ensure privacy protection. The platform enables users to convert their documents into authenticated digital versions with high levels of privacy and security.

RLUSD approved by DFSA as recognised crypto token for use within DIFC
Ripple's RLUSD Stablecoin was approved by the DFSA for use in DIFC. Dubai — Ripple, the leader in enterprise blockchain and crypto solutions, announced that its stablecoin, RLUSD, has been approved as a recognised crypto token by the Dubai Financial Services Authority (DFSA) for use within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC). This approval reinforces RLUSD's position as a trusted, enterprise-grade stablecoin, built with regulatory compliance, utility, and transparency at its core. Alongside today's approval under the DFSA's crypto token regime, RLUSD is one of the few stablecoins globally to be issued under a New York Department of Financial Services (NYDFS) Trust Company Charter. With stringent safeguards including 1:1 USD backing by high-quality liquid assets, strict reserve management and asset segregation, third-party audits, and clear redemption rights, RLUSD is designed to meet the highest expectations of both regulators and institutional users. 'The DFSA's approval of RLUSD is proof of our commitment to building a stablecoin that meets the highest standards of trust, transparency and utility,' said Jack McDonald, Senior Vice-President of Stablecoins at Ripple. 'With regulation-first design and enterprise-grade features, RLUSD is uniquely positioned to drive enterprise utility of blockchain technology across global markets, starting with cross-border payments.' Unlike stablecoins geared primarily toward retail users, RLUSD has been purpose-built for global enterprise utility, particularly in improving the speed, cost, and efficiency of cross-border payments. This recognition allows Ripple to integrate RLUSD into its DFSA–licensed flagship payments solution, combining the stability of a trusted digital dollar with a scalable, blockchain-based infrastructure and Ripple's extensive global payout network. This approval also enables other DFSA-licensed firms in the fast-growing DIFC to incorporate RLUSD into their virtual assets services. With almost 7,000 firms active at the end of 2024, this further supports the integration of high-quality stablecoins into Dubai's burgeoning digital assets and fintech ecosystem. Stablecoin adoption in the UAE is accelerating. According to market data, 2024 saw a 55% year-on-year increase in stablecoin transactions in the region, signalling strong demand for blockchain solutions that address the inefficiencies of traditional payment rails. With a $400 billion + market for international trade and one of the world's most progressive regulatory frameworks for digital assets, the UAE is well-positioned to become a global hub for stablecoin innovation and utility. 'The UAE continues to set a global benchmark for forward-thinking digital asset regulation and innovation,' said Reece Merrick, Managing Director Middle East and Africa (MEA) at Ripple. 'The DFSA's approval of RLUSD is yet another step forward for Ripple's operations in the region, and we're seeing huge interest from businesses of all sizes for cross-border payments and digital asset custody solutions. The UAE's digital economy is vibrant and incredibly dynamic, and we're looking forward to working with our regional partners, customers, and regulators to supercharge that growth.' RLUSD's recognition by the DFSA builds on Ripple's continued momentum in the region. Alongside the recent announcement of Zand Bank and Mamo as the first customers to adopt its regulated blockchain-enabled payments offering in the UAE, Ripple is also partnering with Ctrl Alt to support the Dubai Land Department's (DLD) pioneering Real Estate Tokenization Project, which will see real estate title deeds tokenized on the XRP Ledger.

EBM-Peek Freans AI powered storytelling redefines youth entertainment for the digital age
In today's digital age, technology is not just powering devices, it is shaping how the next generation learns, imagines, and connects. In a bold move redefining the role of artificial intelligence in children's educational content, a new animated series is winning hearts for how it was made. ' Piper Ki Duniya (World of Piper),' is a one of its kind educational content series built using AI-driven storytelling models that combine cultural insights, narrative structures, and emotional intelligence, creating rich, age-appropriate stories for children aged 4 to 12. The series was created by English Biscuit Manufacturers (EBM), the parent company of the iconic Peek Freans brand, a global name rooted in Pakistan, with a presence across the Middle East region. At the heart of this innovation is a seamless integration of human creativity and artificial intelligence. Teams based in USA and Pakistan used AI models from all over the world to create the animated series that brings the history of the Islamic world to life for Pakistani children. The 'Piper ki Duniya' team used American models Midjourney and Leonardo AI for character design, especially for Pied Piper, the brand mascot. They went on to use German model Flux AI for character consistency. Each character's 25 visuals were used to ensure consistency in facial features, expressions, and even clothing. These designs were then animated using American Runway AI and Chinese Kling AI, bringing the characters to life with smooth, lifelike motion. The result is a vibrant 3D revival of the beloved Peek Freans Pied Piper, brought to life in 'Piper Ki Duniya,' delivering universal values of kindness, patience, and generosity through stories designed to resonate across generations. Since its launch on the Peek Freans Young Pipers' Club YouTube channel, 'Piper Ki Duniya' has surpassed 100,000 subscribers in under four weeks with over 13 million views to date, earning YouTube's Silver Play Button. "As a parent, one of my biggest challenges has been teaching my 5-year-old values like patience, compassion, and faith in a way that truly connects with him. That insight inspired 'Piper Ki Duniya.' Today, technology is not just changing how we tell stories, its changing what stories mean to new audiences. With 'Piper Ki Duniya,' we have reimagined the iconic Pied Piper to deliver meaningful, values-driven content that sparks curiosity, encourages reflection, and creates shared moments for modern families,' said, Shahzain Munir, executive director at EBM. "Bringing Piper Ki Duniya to life was unlike any other project. We challenged the technology to go beyond algorithms and really reflect how children think, feel, and engage with content today. From character behaviour to dialogue rhythm, every element was shaped to feel intuitive and alive. It is a powerful reminder that AI is not just about automation; it can be a tool for imagination, curiosity, and emotional depth," said the representative from Singularity marketing. Having debuted during the Holy month of Ramadan, the AI-powered series aims to both engage and inspire children by weaving Islamic values with captivating narratives. Backed by data-driven insights and designed with children's attention spans in mind, the content is age-appropriate, engaging, and encourages family participation. Through AI-led storytelling EBM demonstrates its dedication to purposeful innovation by showing how modern technology safeguards cultural heritage while teaching longstanding values to future generations.
