Is Haikyuu season 5 happening? Everything we know so far
By Aman Shukla Published on July 21, 2025, 19:00 IST Last updated July 21, 2025, 12:06 IST If you're a Haikyuu!! fan, you've probably been on the edge of your seat, wondering what's next for Hinata, Kageyama, and the Karasuno crew. The volleyball anime has kept us hooked with its high-energy matches, unforgettable characters, and themes of grit and teamwork. After Season 4 dropped in 2020 and the first Haikyuu!! Final movie, The Dumpster Battle , hit theaters in 2024, fans are buzzing: will there ever be a Haikyuu!! Season 5? Let's dive into everything we know so far, from the latest news to what the future might hold. Is Haikyuu Season 5 Happening? As of right now—July 21, 2025—there's no official green light for Haikyuu!! Season 5. No word from Production I.G, no teasers from Crunchyroll, nada. Instead, the anime's wrapping up with a two-part movie series called Haikyuu!! Final . The first film, The Dumpster Battle , dropped in Japan on February 16, 2024, and brought the Karasuno vs. Nekoma showdown to life with jaw-dropping animation. The second movie, VS The Little Giant , is expected to tackle the Karasuno vs. Kamomedai match and maybe even the manga's time-skip arc. It's slated for a late 2026 release in Japan, with the rest of the world following. These films seem to be the grand finale, which has left fans like me torn. On one hand, movies mean big-screen volleyball glory. On the other, a full TV season could dive deeper into the story we love. For now, it looks like the movies are the plan, but let's not lose hope just yet. What Could Season 5 Have Covered? If we did get a Season 5, it would likely pick up right after Season 4, starting around Chapter 293 of the manga. Here's what fans could expect: Karasuno vs. Nekoma : The 'Battle at the Garbage Dump' is a fan-favorite showdown between Karasuno's crows and Nekoma's cats. This match, already covered in The Dumpster Battle , highlights the rivalry and friendship between the teams. Karasuno vs. Kamomedai : The next big match pits Karasuno against Kamomedai, featuring Hoshiumi Korai, the 'Little Giant' who inspired Hinata. This arc, expected in VS The Little Giant , would show Hinata facing his mirror image on the court. Time-Skip Arc: The manga's final chapters jump forward in time, showing the characters as adults, including pro volleyball matches like MSBY Black Jackals vs. Schweiden Adlers. A Season 5 could dive deep into this arc, giving fans more of Hinata's journey post-high school. There's even enough content for a potential Season 6, especially with the manga's Brazil arc and epilogue, but the focus on movies makes this less likely for now. Is There Still Hope for Season 5? Even with the movies taking center stage, some fans are holding out hope for a fifth season. The official Haikyuu!! Twitter account recently dropped 'Final' from the title of VS The Little Giant , sparking speculation that more content—maybe a season or special episodes—could be in the works. The manga's time-skip arc, with its focus on professional volleyball and character growth, has enough material for a full season, which keeps the dream alive. On X, fans are vocal about wanting a Season 5 to flesh out the manga's ending, especially the Brazil arc and pro matches. But without official confirmation, these are just hopeful whispers for now. One Piece Episode 1137: Release date and what to expect
By Aman Shukla Published on July 21, 2025, 17:30 IST Last updated July 21, 2025, 11:16 IST Alright, One Piece crew, let's talk about Episode 1137! The Egghead Arc's been serving up drama, tears, and straight-up chaos, and this next episode, called 'I'm Sorry, Dad – Bonney's Tears and Kuma's Fist,' is about to crank it all up. After that heart-shattering Kuma backstory, I'm dying to see what's next for Bonney, Luffy, and the gang. So, when's it dropping, and what's the vibe? Let's break it down. One Piece Episode 1137 Release Date Alright, mark your calendars: One Piece Episode 1137 hits Japanese TV on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at 11:15 PM JST. There was a week-long break because of some election coverage in Japan, but we're back in action now! For those of us watching from outside Japan, you can catch it on Crunchyroll with English subs right as it airs. Here's when you can expect it in different time zones: Pacific Time (PDT) : 7:15 AM, July 27, 2025 Eastern Time (EDT) : 10:15 AM, July 27, 2025 UK (BST) : 3:15 PM, July 27, 2025 Central Europe (CEST) : 4:15 PM, July 27, 2025 India (IST) : 7:45 PM, July 27, 2025 Philippines (PST) : 10:15 PM, July 27, 2025 Australia (ACST): 11:45 PM, July 27, 2025 What to expect in One Piece Episode 1137 After the tear-jerker that was Kuma's flashback (seriously, who wasn't crying?), Episode 1137 brings us back to the chaos on Egghead Island. The title alone—'I'm Sorry, Dad – Bonney's Tears and Kuma's Fist'—is giving us major hints about what's coming. Here's what I'm expecting, based on the previews and the arc's vibe: Bonney's Big Moment Jewelry Bonney's been through it, y'all. After diving into Kuma's memories and learning about his heartbreaking sacrifices, she's face-to-face with Saint Saturn in his creepy demon form. The title suggests she's gonna let those emotions out—tears and all—and maybe channel that pain into some serious action. I'm rooting for her to stand tall and show Saturn she's not backing down. Kuma's Epic Comeback? The previews are teasing something huge: Kuma might show up on Egghead to save Bonney! After everything we learned about his past—losing his free will to become a cyborg for the World Government—this could be his moment to shine. Picture this: Kuma swooping in with a fist ready to throw down. It's gonna be wild if he takes on Saturn to protect his daughter. Straw Hats in Trouble Luffy and the crew are stuck in a tight spot, surrounded by Marines and dealing with Saturn's overwhelming power. The Egghead Arc's been building to a massive showdown, and Episode 1137 could bring some intense fights as the Straw Hats try to protect Dr. Vegapunk and figure out how to get off the island. Luffy's never one to back down, so expect some classic Straw Hat chaos. Ahmedabad Plane Crash Aman Shukla is a post-graduate in mass communication .
