Trains to Chakulia, Chaibasa from Tatanagar from June 6

Jamshedpur: The South Eastern (SE) Railway has introduced two MEMU trains each to Chaibasa and Chakulia from Tatanagar to accommodate the increasing flow of the daily passengers on the two mainline routes.

Both the trains will begin operations on June 6.
Tatanagar-Chaibasa train will leave the originating station at 8:55 pm and will reach the last destination station at 11 pm. In its return journey, Chaibasa-Tatanagar train will chug off from the originating station at 3:20 am and will reach the last stoppage at 5:45 am.
The train will stop at Adityapur, Gamharia, Birbans, Sini, Mahali Marup, Rajkharsawan and Pandrasali railway stations on the up and down route daily.
The Tatanagar-Chakulia train will leave the originating station at 11 pm and reach the destination at 12:45 pm. The Chakulia-Tatanagar train will leave the originating station at 3 pm and will reach the destination at 5 pm.
The train will stop at Salgajhari, Govindpur, Asanboni, Rakha Mines, Galudih, Ghatsila, Chirugora, Dhalbhumgarh, Kokpara stations on the up and down route. The Tatanagar-Chakulia train will operate on all days except Sunday and Chakulia-Tatanagar will operate on all days except Saturday, said SE railway official on Tuesday. TNN

Kozhikode: Cracks have appeared on the retaining wall of the national highway stretch at Valiyaparamba near Thalappara in Malappuram district. The cracks were formed in the concrete block walls constructed through the paddy field. Locals said a portion of the retaining wall showed slight subsidence. Commuters raised concerns that cracks in the concrete walls could lead to a serious accident. Mastermind behind police attack yet to be nabbed

Ranchi: The mastermind behind the attack on the policemen at Koinara village under the Lapung police station area, some 40 km away from the Ranchi district headquarters, is still absconding. A mob attacked the policemen with sticks and sharp weapons on Tuesday, when they arrived in the village to oversee the law and order situation which was disrupted over a land dispute between two groups. No arrests were made in connection with the incident till filing of this report. Two policemen, including the in-charge of the Lapung police station, Santosh Kumar Yadav are undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Ranchi. Two other personnel were discharged from the hospital on Wednesday. Ranchi (rural) SP Praveen Pushkar said that the mastermind who has Naxalite link and incited the violence is currently on the run. "Police have been trying to trace him," SP said. The situation is under control now, he added. TNN
