However, Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) is unhappy with the bill's hefty price tag and claims there is enough opposition to halt the process until more deficit reductions are included. The pair of bipartisan bills passed out of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee by voice vote. S.1801, the 'International Nuclear Energy Act,' would create an office focused on nuclear energy trade and new collaborations with other nations on nuclear energy development and licensing.
