
CCC Introduces Expanded RightsLink Author Services for Scholarly Publishers
'Scholarly publishers are increasingly experimenting in response to changing market dynamics and shifting business models,' said Emily Sheahan, Vice President & Managing Director, CCC. 'RightsLink Author Services aids publishers in these areas, supporting their goals of building relationships with their author community.'
CCC will highlight its new RightsLink Author Services capabilities at the SSP 47 th Annual Meeting in Baltimore, MD, from 28 to 30 May. CCC will also showcase the beta version of Ringgold Researchers, a new service that helps scholarly publishers and service providers disambiguate and identify researchers, their affiliations, and research-related connections.

CCC's OA Intelligence software product, featuring AI-enabled data disambiguation with agreement modeling and analysis capabilities, is a finalist for SSP's 2025 EPIC Awards. The winners of the awards, which highlight the achievements of individuals and teams advancing scholarly publishing, will be announced during the EPIC Awards Ceremony on 29 May as part of the Annual Meeting.

Logistics firm Ninja Van has laid off approximately 12 per cent of its workforce in Singapore, following two earlier rounds of job cuts in 2024. A company spokesperson confirmed the latest retrenchments on 12 Aug to The Straits Times (ST), describing them as part of a long-term strategy to strengthen Ninja Van's business model. The spokesperson added that the decision was not made lightly. However, the company declined to disclose the current size of its Singapore team or indicate whether further layoffs are planned. Local actor Zheng Geping has been awarded the Public Service Medal for his 15-year service as a volunteer to the Woodlands Citizens' Consultative Committee (CCC). Zheng, 61, is one of 7,210 recipients, across 22 categories, on the National Day Awards list. Zheng only signed up as a volunteer after a friend urged him to. A Madison native, Behnke has been involved in the community since her graduation from the University of Wisconsin (1983) and the University of Wisconsin Law School (1988), serving on nonprofit and corporate boards. She is currently serving on the Board of Directors for the Wisconsin Foundation and Alumni Association and the Law School Board of Visitors. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Capitol Bank and has previously served on the boards of Dean Health Plan, Inc., and SSM Healthcare of Wisconsin. Behnke served as president of the State Bar of Wisconsin from 2004-2005. Behnke has been recognized for her work in the legal profession and her community, receiving the Charles L.
