Ellawyn, from Connor Downs, said the challenge - which she called an "aquathalon" - was "fun, tiring and very long". She completed it on 14 August and added: "I struggled a bit towards the end of my swim but other than that it was really fun."Her father Dan said: "What she did, she did it each day for three days and that's quite a difficult feat for a fit athlete, let alone an 11-year-old girl."When Ellawyn finished, she said: "[Annie] said well done, she [said] she was really proud of me and she can't believe I did that."
A target of £500 was initially set by Ellawyn to buy Annie some craft materials and art lessons.The fundraiser has raised more than £10,000.

Each time James has got behind the announcer's microphone, he could be heard by more than 100 said he found the experience "very good" and is set to continue as the announcer for Burscough's next match."I've always wanted to do it and be a sports reporter," he James was behind the microphone, Burscough FC managed to pick up a win over their rivals Longridge Town, so who knows, maybe he brought them a bit of luck too.

Man City teenager 'set to join Erik ten Hag's Bayer Leverkusen on loan' after making just three appearances in six months
A teenager who has made just three appearances in six months for Manchester City is reportedly set to join Erik ten Hag 's Bayer Leverkusen on loan. The player in question joined the Citizens from River Plate in January 2024 but stayed in his native Argentina for another year. Although he made his debut in the FA Cup final - coming on as a substitute for Omar Marmoush in City's 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace - he now looks to be going elsewhere. Youngster Claudio Echeverri, 19, has attracted the interest of former Manchester United manager ten Hag at Leverkusen and now appears set for a move. According to Matteo Moretto, a deal between the two clubs has been agreed with no buy option clause included, with Leverkusen to cover his salary. The player will undergo a medical with the Bundesliga side on Tuesday night before finalising a move that should see him play more regular football. It represents a coup for Leverkusen, with Roma also reportedly interested in signing the highly-rated attacking midfielder earlier this summer. He scored his first Man City goal against Al Ain in the Club World Cupin June, with the Argentine firing in a superb free kick. It was claimed Echeverri had been keen to make the move, which was being pushed by Roma boss Gian Piero Gasperini. Prior to joining Man City, Echeverri made 48 appearances in all competitions for River Plate in Argentina, contributing four goals and eight assists. The 19-year-old's stock rose further when he was the driving force during Argentina Under-20s run to the final at the South American Championships in January. Captaining the side, Echeverri netted six goals and recorded three assists during the tournament. Echeverri, who was handed his River Plate debut by former City defender Martin Demichelis, also shone at the Under 17 World Cup in 2023, scoring five goals.
