But now Marmite Peanut Butter has made a stunning return to the shelves and it's here to stay.
The nutty and yeasty breakfast spread first appeared on shelves in 2019 causing a stir, but was discontinued nine months ago.
However, The Sun reported last month that Unilever has reintroduced it to shelves with shoppers able to pick it up from Tesco, Sainsbury's and Ocado.
We've also spotted the 225g tub on sale at Co-op too.
Alongside Tesco, they're selling it for £3 while Ocado is stocking it for £3.50 and Sainsbury's for £3.35.
And fans have already starting clocking the returning favourite on supermarket shelves.
One eagle-eyed shopper shared their find on Facebook group Food Finds UK.
They shared an image of the product alongside the caption "spotted in Sainsbury's!"
Excited customers flocked to the comments to express their excitement at the beloved spread's return.
One said: "Oh yes, it's back!
"I was gutted when they stopped making it and tried several ways to make my own but it never tasted the same."
"Wow it's back, I heard it wasn't getting made anymore," exclaimed another.
"Fantastic it's back as I love it!"
A third customer added: "My favourite snack, it's perfect for a quick snack or adding some crunch to your meals.
We've outdone ourselves with this one' say Cadbury Ireland as they reveal new limited edition bar 'coming soon
"The price seems really reasonable too."
Unilever confirmed it had axed Marmite Peanut Butter last September with a spokesperson adding: "We're always reviewing our ranges to make sure our products reflect shopper preferences, whilst also focusing on new innovations."
"Whilst we will no longer be making Marmite peanut butter, we are working on some new and exciting launches within our licensing range to bring our iconic Marmite flavour to shoppers in new ways and formats."
Retailers and manufacturers regularly discontinue products and items based on customer sales and trends.
Marmite Peanut Butter is not the only comeback we've seen recently either.
From an iconic retro sweet to a nostalgic noughties chocolate bar, a whole host of discontinued snacks and drinks are returning to UK shelves this month.

B&M shoppers rush to buy stylish home furniture scanning at just £10 instead of £80 – it'll transform your living room
B&M shoppers are flocking to get their hands on a living room staple for just £10. The bargain retailer has knocked a massive £70 off the price, sending customers into a spin. The TV unit, which can support flatscreens up to 55 inches, comes in a stylish light grey to upgrade your living space. And an ideal colour to match even the most vibrant decor. Measuring at 116cm in width and 42.5 cm in length, the unit has sizable storage drawers built in, so you'll never lose the remote. The top of the unit has an oak finish and two shelves at the centre for more storage options. A savvy shopper shared the deal on B&M Scanner and Other Bargains Facebook - to the delight of fellow deal detectives. Alongside the photo of their purchase, they wrote in the caption: "Scanning at £10." "Can't believe it, I'd love to have one of those," one wrote in the comment section. Others tagged friends in the post so they could also be in the know. Dunelm is also selling a TV unit, but it's £99.50 down from £199 - a great deal, but it doesn't match B&M. SHEIN is also flogging a TV stand Cabinet unit for £39.52, down from £94.08. If you see something you like in the B&M sale it may be worth comparing prices online to make sure you are not missing a better deal elsewhere. Sales also vary from store to store, so just because one branch offers amazing deals on something doesn't mean they all will. You will also need to shop these offers in person as B&M does not have an online store. With that in mind, it may be worth ringing your local store ahead of time to check stock levels to avoid a wasted trip. You can find your nearest B&M by visiting Shoppers are racing to B&M for Molly-Mae's latest collection & there are some incredible scents for less than a fiver The TV unit isn't the only huge homeware offer at B&M in recent weeks. B&M has launched a brand new "Quiet Luxury" range, which the store announced on TikTok. "We've been teasing this collection for a while and are soooo pleased to say it's finally landed in stores," the caption read. B&M went on to share "a snapshot of what you can pick up" in the video. Shoppers can pick up a lowball glass with a 3D pink bow in the base for just £3. They can further class up their drink with a set of glass drinking straws, which also feature a bow detail. The pack of six is available for just £3 and comes with a cleaning brush. And for the days when you're on the go, another £3 will get you a glass travel mug with a bow pattern. This includes a sealed lid and straw for enjoying on your daily commute. Or you can opt for a large white metal mug with black bows printed on it. B&M customers shared their excitement for the new items in the comments section. "Love love love," wrote one impressed viewer. Another shopper said they were "obsessed" with the new buys on offer. A third person tagged their friend, saying: "We need to gooooo." Tesco shoppers slam awful new US-style trolleys amid trial
The new designs, which some customers have said 'look awful' aim to be lighter and easier to move around stores, with less noise too. It comes as Tesco has been trialling hybrid trolleys, which are made of a metal chassis with a black plastic basket, at its Sheffield Infirmary Superstore. The trolleys might look familiar to shoppers as the design is similar to those being used at big US chains such as Target, known for its famous bright red carts. Hannah Lewis, managing director of trolley supplier Formbar, told The Sun that shops and customers will prefer them. Hannah explained: 'Trolleys are important, they are the first thing you see as you go into a supermarket. 'The plastic ones are more cost-effective to maintain, as well as being fully recyclable. 'We'll be seeing them much more in the future which I think people will like as they are easier to push around than the steel ones, and they are quieter too with no metal rattling sounds.' However, after one customer posted a picture of the new plastic Tesco trolleys on Reddit, which they had seen during a recent visit, some aren't fans of the improved look. One commented: 'Like plastic baskets, these will end up grubby and stinking very quickly.' Another shared: 'They ain't gonna last a week.' While this person wrote: 'What a waste of money.' Someone else slammed: 'They look awful.' A second chimed: 'I don't see what's wrong. Plastic baskets on shopping trolleys have been a think [thing] in the U.S. and many other countries for decades. They work just fine. Overall unit weight and price is reduced.' Following the "small-scale" trial, it's not known if the plastic trolleys will be rolled out widely across the UK, but it's understood that feedback is being taken from customers.

The 5 overlooked brands you need to pick up at a car boot sale – including the MCDONALD'S item that sells for £350
Read on to see Becky's top tips to bartering QUIDS IN The 5 overlooked brands you need to pick up at a car boot sale – including the MCDONALD'S item that sells for £350 Click to share on X/Twitter (Opens in new window) Click to share on Facebook (Opens in new window) RESELLING has become one of the most popular side hustles in the UK, and no one does it better than Becky Chorlton. The 26-year-old from Lymm, Cheshire, has made over £100,000 and has now turned it into her full-time job. Sign up for Scottish Sun newsletter Sign up 5 Becky Chorlon has made reselling her full-time job Credit: Becky's Bazaar 5 Here she shared her top tips for bagging the best car boot sale buys Credit: Becky's Bazaar And here, Becky exclusively tells Fabulous how you can make a killing by rummaging through other people's trash at car boot sales. Her reselling career came from humble beginnings as a university student. She started by selling pieces she already has in her own wardrobe on second-hand selling platforms Depop and Vinted. She previously told Fabulous: 'As a student I had a part-time job in a shoe shop, earning around £6 an hour, but I knew I could earn more from reselling. READ MORE ON CAR BOOTS ABSOLUTE STEAL I found ultra-rare paintings at a car boot sale - they're worth thousands 'I started off small, selling my own clothes online from a little rail in my bedroom. I already had so much stuff that I'd bought from charity shops and it was all worth more than what I'd paid.' Becky began earning £100 a week and realised she could earn even more so started buying extra stock often with her mum, Sandra, by her side. But almost six years on, she now scours car boot sales and charity shops to sell items online and can rake in £3,000 a month. Now she shares the exact items and brands that you must look out for if you want to make quick cash and how to navigate the world of car boot sales. I earn cash by selling 'actual rubbish' on eBay - I flogged a freebie I found on the floor by a bin for £10, it's crazy How to prepare If you've never been woken up by a 5am alarm to get to a car boot sale nice and early, then your first time there can be daunting. Fortunately Becky has shared some tips on what you can expect and what you need to prepare. The first tip is to plan before you go, join Facebook groups to see local car boot sales near you, what times they open and what they sell. You also want to make sure you check the weather before heading out as it can have a massive impact on how many sellers turn up. Always bring cash as you won't find card readers and bring reusable bags for your goods. Becky also says you need to go in with an open mind rather than looking for a specific item. She says: "The joy of shopping second hand is finding unique pieces you love, see the potential in items you may not like at first glance." Becky also says you need to rummage and not miss a section to get the best goodies. "All the treasures are usually hidden in boxes and trinkets everybody else is too lazy to look in so get digging," she adds "Sometimes I find the best stuff in bags on the floor or on a rail that is difficult to get to don't be afraid to climb over things or get down on your hands & knees." If you do plan to resell items, make sure you thoroughly check them for holes and stains while there, otherwise you might have to drop the price. How to barter While Becky tends not to barter with sellers, she does recommend it if you're buying for yourself. The first thing to remember is if you don't ask you don't get so don't be shy with asking for a cheaper price. On the other hand, Becky says don't be cheeky and be realistic. "If you're buying multiple items from a particular stall, make sure you ask about a cheaper bundle price," she recommneds. Another pro tip from Becky is to not look too interested in the item you want. She explains: Try not to look too interested in the item you want to buy before asking, if the stall holder knows you really want it they most likely won't lower the price." 5 Becky now makes £3,000 a month scouring car boot sales and charity shops Credit: Becky's Bazaar Spotting a fake As a reseller, Becky knows how to spot a fake easily, but it might not be as easy if you're just starting out. She says: "Check the label & tags, look for misspelling or poorly replicated logos. Genuine brands use consistent fonts and sizing." Luxury products will always have clean stitching so make sure it's even and compare it with photos online. You can also do your own research as many luxury goods have QR codes to authenticate them. 5 She shared the brands to look out for that always rake in cash Credit: Becky's Bazaar Top brands and items to buy If you're looking to make money quickly from reselling, Becky has revealed the rbands and items that always work for her i making a huge profit. The first would be vintage McDonald's merch. She said: "I love vintage McDonalds merchandise and always keep a look out for old happy meal toys to add to my collection. "I came across a McDonalds drive thru play set from the early 2000s which was being sold for £8, I listed it on eBay and it sold just before Christmas for £350." Becky also recommends looking for old vintage biker and racing jackets. One she found was covered in mud but cost just £50 so she took it home and cleaned it and then found the same one in a Fiorucci store in London Soho with a price tag of £250 on it. Other products to look out for include Vintage Nike which have a silver Nike tag, as well as anything y2k themed as it's back in fashion. She adds: "Once I found the most stunning collection of pieces & she only wanted £1 each for everything. I must've bought about 25 items from her filling a huge IKEA bag. I resold each piece at my market stall for £10-£15 each." Last but not least was any type of vintage T-shirt as mega fans will pay a lot to get their hands on one, and there's one way to tell if they are. Becky says: "T-shirts with a single stitch rather than a double stitch around the sleeves and edges. It's how they were made back in the day and it's always cool to find them at car boot sales. "If you find a super rare one they're always worth good money. I found a 3D emblem truckers only single stitch tshirt in a charity shop for £7.99 - they are listed on eBay for £300-£400." 5 Becky hared how to spot a vintage T-shirt instantly Credit: Becky's Bazaar
