Kathy Ireland ‘stalked' doctor husband before starting romance

Fox News23-02-2025

Kathy Ireland took a major gamble in finding her husband.
While on the MovieGuide Awards red carpet, Ireland explained that she "stalked" her husband, Dr. Greg Olsen, before officially meeting.
"I was having lunch with my mom who was a nurse, saw this cute guy walk by, and it turns out he was a doctor in his residency," she explained to Fox News Digital. "So, I go back to the hospital, mom would find out his beeper code, and we'd wait around [and] just go to the different floors where we thought we might find him."
She added, "[I] felt like a big loser, because it just wasn't happening, but you gotta be patient. Two months, and it worked."
The couple have been married since 1988 and share three children, Erik, Lily and Chloe.
In December, Ireland shared a throwback photo of her and Greg, praising him as she acknowledged her "stalking."
"After two months of stalking (thanks for helping Mom!) I got my first date with Greg! 38 years later this man continues to fill my heart," Ireland began.
She also shared a photo of a note left by her husband, their initials surrounded by a heart outline.

"After a hard day, I opened the door to find his sweet note!" she wrote, adding, "He actually wrote his note at each door of our home! Don't stress buying gifts, the best ones are not purchased with money, they are given from the heart."
She also marked their official 36th anniversary on August 20th last year, writing, "Thank you for blessing me more than I could have dreamed. You are my priceless treasure, Prince Charming and the best catch ever! I love you more each day. I thank God for you."
"[I] felt like a big loser, because it just wasn't happening, but you gotta be patient. Two months, and it worked."
"I married a great guy. I stalked him for two months before I met him, my mom helped me. That was wonderful," Ireland told Fox News Digital on the red carpet, sharing that the secret to their nearly 40-year relationship is "it's not a contract, it's a covenant with God at the center."
"So, there are days where I'm not lovable, there's days where he's not lovable, but we made a promise not only to each other but to the Lord, so that is the key to our marriage."
Ireland discovered her faith at 18, while abroad in Paris in her modeling days.
Alone in a hotel room, she opened a Bible in the middle of the night and found her life "forever changed."
"I didn't know how to read it. And I was a rebellious teenager questioning who really knows the truth, who really knows what's right or wrong. And as I read, I just knew that what I was holding in my hands was the truth and my life forever changed," she told Fox News Digital in 2023.
She continued, recalling "Jesus was nothing like I thought. I was listening to other people's soundbites about who He was and what the Bible said."
At this year's MovieGuide Awards, airing March 6 on Great American Family, Ireland was presenting the Faith and Freedom Award for movies, two things she considers "monumentally important in my life."
"We all need to have the freedom to be who we are to express that and my faith in Jesus, if not for that relationship, I certainly wouldn't be here tonight. I don't know where I'd be. I'd be a mess. A big, big mess," the model and business mogul said.
The 61-year-old also praised the recent news that Jon Voight, Sylvester Stallone and Mel Gibson would be serving as "special envoys" to Hollywood, per an announcement from President Donald Trump back in January.
"I believe all these wonderful people trust in the Lord, so my hope is they point people closer to Jesus, encourage people not to compromise and never be ashamed of their faith," she said.

Conor McGregor Reacts to Sean O'Malley's Camp Ahead of UFC 316

Conor McGregor Reacts to Sean O'Malley's Camp Ahead of UFC 316 originally appeared on Athlon Sports. June is here, and the UFC calendar is about to explode with energy—starting with the much-hyped UFC 316. This card is stacked, but all eyes are on the main event, where fan-favorite Sean O'Malley steps back into the Octagon, chasing redemption. The stakes couldn't be higher. After a unanimous decision loss in his last fight, O'Malley is looking to silence critics and reclaim his momentum. And just when you thought the drama couldn't ramp up any more, a surprising show of respect emerged from none other than Conor McGregor—a fighter O'Malley hasn't exactly seen eye to eye with in recent years. Advertisement At the UFC 316 media day, a moment caught attention. In a clip shared by mmafightingonsbn, O'Malley was asked about the McGregor vs. Nate Diaz 2 fight, which he had been rewatching for inspiration. Then came the curveball. A reporter revealed to O'Malley that McGregor had praised his approach to this fight, likening it to his own preparation for the legendary Diaz rematch. 'I've always taken inspiration from Conor fights,' said O'Malley. 'You know, I watch Conor fights probably more than—well, my fights more—but I've watched a lot of Conor fights.' When the reporter added that McGregor was 'very complimentary,' O'Malley grinned: '…I'll take it.' And when asked about their previously rocky relationship, his response was heartfelt: 'I'll forever be, you know, a huge Conor fan.' Their past beef is no secret. From subtle jabs on social media to O'Malley publicly calling out McGregor's antics in interviews, the friction was real. McGregor, in turn, took dismissive swipes at O'Malley during their past exchanges. Respect has been restored—almost unknowingly—from O'Malley's side, showing genuine admiration even before he was aware of McGregor's praise. Former UFC Bantamweight champion Sean O'Malley@ Sam Navarro/ Imagn Images As Saturday approaches, UFC 316 isn't just shaping up to be a banger inside the cage—it's becoming a narrative of evolution, maturity, and mutual respect between two of the sport's most flamboyant stars. Whether fireworks or finesse awaits, this one's got heat written all over it. Charlotte Le Bon is focused on directing, but has ideas for a ‘White Lotus' return

TORONTO - Since her breakout role in season 3 of HBO's hit dramedy 'White Lotus,' acting offers have been pouring in for Charlotte Le Bon. But for now, the Montreal native is just not interested. 'Making films is my main focus more than acting, to be honest,' Le Bon said during a sit-down interview in Toronto Thursday. Le Bon recently returned from the Cannes Film Festival, where she held meetings in search of a financing partner for her sophomore feature — a still-untitled Montreal-shot drama exploring themes of loss. 'It's autobiographique,' says the bilingual actor, reluctant to reveal too much. 'It's a very, very personal movie and I think the goal is to try to make a very light-hearted movie on grief. It's a challenge, but that's what I'm aiming for.' The Montreal-based Le Bon was in town for Bell Media's 2025/26 programming showcase, where Etalk hosts interviewed her during a splashy event for media buyers about the last season of 'The White Lotus,' which streams on Crave. In Mike White's eat-the-rich anthology series she plays Chloe, a socially savvy French-Canadian expat living in Thailand with her much older boyfriend, and the series' main antagonist, Greg, who now goes by 'Gary.' She's seemingly unaware of Greg's history: in Season 2, he pulled off a plot to murder his wife Tanya, played by Jennifer Coolidge, in order to inherit her wealth. Le Bon says she was ready to take a hiatus from acting when she was offered the 'White Lotus' role. Though she'd built a successful career — with roles opposite Joseph Gordon-Levitt in the 2015 biographical drama 'The Walk' and Christian Bale in the 2016 war epic 'The Promise' — her passion had shifted to working behind the camera. Her 2023 horror-romance 'Falcon Lake,' which she directed and co-wrote, premiered at Cannes to strong critical acclaim. 'I was thinking about taking a break from acting because I was like, 'Oh, I don't know if I still like it.' I was just asking myself some questions about it... I sometimes played characters that were not really inspiring for me for some reason,' she says. 'And then 'White Lotus' arrived and I was like, 'There's no way I can not do this. It's just an amazing opportunity'... Between the moment where I sent the self-tape and the moment I was in the plane flying to Thailand, there were probably like 10 days.' Le Bon says the experience of being part of such a pop-culture juggernaut was hard to wrap her head around. 'It's kind of overwhelming when you're taking part in such an important thing in culture. Even when it started to come out, when I started to see memes on it on social media, it was really exciting,' she says. While acting isn't her current focus, Le Bon says she would be down to return for Season 4 — and has some ideas about how it could play out. 'If their relationship is based on true love, which I think it is, then maybe she'll come back with Greg, because Greg has to come back, for sure,' she says. Le Bon muses that Chloe could be Greg's accomplice or even the one who serves him his inevitable comeuppance. 'She could either become Greg's ally and they can be like a duo of villains, or she can maybe be the one who will create the karma for Greg. Maybe she'll give it to him,' she says. 'He has to get it at some point, so we'll see what happens.' While Chloe's relationship with Greg may seem transactional on the surface, Le Bon argues the two share a deeper 'understanding' of one another. 'I think what she likes in this relationship is she thinks she's found a way to be free… just by spending a lot of money and partying and having sex with whoever she wants,' Le Bon says. 'I think they find an agreement by the end of the season where it's clear that's her intention and maybe he can take part in this and have fun with it as well.' If that setup sounds peculiar, Le Bon says that's just the kind of thing that interests her. 'There needs to be a singular aspect to a part that really inspires me in order for me to move my butt and be an actress again,' she says. 'It needs to be weird.' King Charles ‘livid' as royal family's cherished Christmas tradition faces cancellation: expert

King Charles is said to be 'livid' that he won't exactly get Christmas cheer this year. The Sun recently reported there is a potential shortage of pheasants at the monarch's Sandringham Estate, which could affect the chances of a full shooting calendar this winter. Advertisement It is known as one of the monarch's favorite pastimes during the holiday season. 'King Charles III is livid, frustrated and disappointed, reflecting both his deep personal attachment to the cherished family tradition and his broader commitment to his royal heritage,' British royal expert Hilary Fordwich claimed to Fox News Digital. 'He's also annoyed that the mishap reflects rather poorly on the management of Sandringham, which he inherited from his mother, Queen Elizabeth II,' she explained. 'The shoot gathers his extended royal family and guests, reinforcing bonds while upholding a long-standing aristocratic tradition. The root of the problem is that Charles has always opposed importing birds from elsewhere, preferring to maintain the estate's game population. The eco-friendly approach has failed.' Advertisement According to the outlet, the number of birds currently available has dropped. 6 Britain's King Charles III wore hearing protection as he watched an artillery piece be fired in Lark Hill on Friday. via REUTERS This may force the 76-year-old, who is battling an undisclosed form of cancer, to cancel the traditional Boxing Day shoot, which is described as a central part of the royal family's holiday plans. Fox News Digital reached out to Buckingham Palace for comment. Advertisement 'Allegedly, King Charles is disappointed that one of his favorite Christmas family traditions may not take place this year,' British broadcaster and photographer Helena Chard told Fox News Digital. 'The Sandringham shoot is questionable due to a lack of Sandringham pheasants on the estate. It seems the family will have to bond, enjoy and celebrate over another hobby, or possibly clay pigeon shoots are the way forward.' 'King Charles may have felt a fleeting healthy upset, but in light of recent times, with the slimmed-down monarchy, cancer battles and more… the monarchy has found their typical ways changing as they are forced to be flexible,' she shared. 6 King Charles III was recently pictured taking a stroll at the Sandringham Estate. Bav Media / The Sun reported that a long-serving gamekeeper, who is responsible for managing the bird population on the estate, is said to have been let go in a recent staff shake-up, resulting in the shortage. Advertisement 'It was a total cock-up,' a source claimed to the outlet. 'No birds, no bang, just red faces. The king wasn't having it.' According to Chard, while the king may be let down, he isn't opposed to change. The monarch is said to be adjusting to a new routine as he continues his weekly cancer treatments and remains devoted to full-time royal duties. 6 King Charles III and Queen Camilla with Prince William, Prince of Wales attend the Christmas Morning Service at St Mary Magdalene Church on December 25, 2024. UK Press via Getty Images 'He pushes for change on occasion,' said Chard. 'He broke royal tradition with his last Christmas speech, recorded at the Fitzrovia Chapel, rather than a royal residence. It was there that he chose to reflect on the deeper things that connect us all — community, health, inclusivity and love.' Chard also pointed out that the shortage may prompt the king to review the shooting tradition, which has come under fire from animal rights groups. Royal expert Ian Pelham Turner is hopeful the change of plans will allow the king to prioritize one thing — making amends with his younger son, Prince Harry. The Duke of Sussex and his wife Meghan Markle stepped back as senior royals in 2020, citing the unbearable intrusions of the British press and a lack of support from the palace. They reside in California. 6 On Christmas Day in 2017, the late Queen Elizabeth II, her husband and other members of the royal family were pictured leaving the St Mary Magdalene Church in Sandringham, Norfolk. AFP via Getty Images Advertisement Since the couple's royal exit, they have aired their grievances in interviews and podcasts, as well as Harry's explosive 2023 memoir, 'Spare.' Sources close to the prince, 40, previously claimed to People magazine that the king won't respond to his phone calls and letters. 'Perhaps he could bring the royal clan together, lock the door, knock all their heads together and unite the entire family, including Harry and Meghan,' Turner told Fox News Digital. 'This may be feathers flying in a different way than a grouse shoot, but if they really believe in the Christian principles, they would try, in my view. It is what Britain expects.' People magazine reported that Charles supports traditional practices and opposes importing birds from elsewhere for the customary rural pastime. However, the outlet reported that maintaining game birds in the area has been 'challenging.' 6 Britain's King Charles III greeted families of service personnel during a visit to the regiments headquarters in Lark Hill, Wiltshire. via REUTERS Advertisement People also reported that the king's grandson, Prince George, was taken on his first grouse-hunting expedition at Balmoral, the royal family's Scottish estate. Royal author Tom Quinn claimed in his new book, 'Yes Ma'am — The Secret Life of Royal Servants,' that Kate Middleton isn't allowing her three young children, including George, 11, to participate in 'blooding.' This longtime ritual calls for members of the royal family to smear blood on their faces from their first kill during fox or stag hunting. Fox News Digital reached out to Kensington Palace for comment. In his 2023 book 'Gilded Youth,' Quinn claimed that William also wanted his family to get with the times. Advertisement ''William is struggling with the traditional pastimes of the royal family as they become ever more unpopular with the public,' he wrote. 6 Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, previously reported that Princess Diana wasn't a fan of game shooting. Getty Images 'William loves shooting — a love he shares with his father — but he is also conscious that the tide is now moving against what many people now refer to as blood sports (the royals prefer to refer to them as field sports). But are they suitable for George, Charlotte and Louis?' Quinn also wrote that while William, 42, was 'keen' to get the children into shooting, he also noted that 'few' expected Kate to 'allow' her children to take part in the blooding tradition. Advertisement Harry previously detailed his experience with the tradition in his memoir, 'Spare.' The 40-year-old recalled how his hunting guide, Sandy, pressed his face into the belly wound of a stag he shot during a blooding ritual on the grounds of Balmoral Castle. 'He placed a hand gently behind my neck and… pushed my head inside the carcass,' the Duke of Sussex wrote, as quoted by the New York Post. 'I tried to pull away, but Sandy pushed me deeper,' the prince wrote. 'I was shocked by his insane strength. And by the infernal smell. My breakfast jumped up from my stomach. After a minute, I couldn't smell anything, because I couldn't breathe. My nose and mouth were full of blood, guts and a deep, upsetting warmth.' Harry wrote that he 'felt swelling pride' that he had 'been good to that stag' by killing it with a single shot so it wouldn't feel pain. He said it was a 'show of respect for the slain' and 'an act of communion by the slayer.' The outlet noted that the book's revelations prompted animal rights organization PETA to condemn the father of two for his graphic descriptions. Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, previously reported that Princess Diana wasn't a fan of game shooting, which has been one of the royal family's favorite activities for centuries. Seward claimed that the late Princess of Wales didn't even like her sons being photographed holding guns. Seward claimed Diana reportedly told William and Harry, 'Remember, there's always someone in a high-rise flat who doesn't want to see you shoot a Bambi,' as quoted by the U.K.'s Express. Still, the boys loved hunting, and Diana used to jokingly call them her 'Killer Wales.' Ken Wharfe, Diana's former royal protection officer, also claimed that Diana was disgusted by hunting. 'The royal shooting obsession was something Princess Diana found repugnant,' Wharfe said, as quoted by the outlet. 'Requiring little or no skill, royal pheasant shoots are a pre-planned carnage of wildlife, bred specifically for slaughter.'
