Emma Stone abandons renovation plans as she lists unfinished $26M Austin mansion

Emma Stone has officially listed her Austin mansion on the market for $26.5 million - despite the home still undergoing finishing renovations.
The Oscar winner, 36 - who recently garnered a standing ovation for her new film Eddington at the Cannes Film Festival - initially purchased the Tarrytown property in 2021, although it is not known for what price.
But for three years, the actress and her husband Dave McCary renovated the estate with the intention to move their family there but have since opted to abruptly not follow through with those plans.
Eric Moreland - one of the listing agents from Moreland Properties/Forbes Global Properties - told Realtor.com that the couple's business in New York is keeping them there, but they still hope to settle in Austin later in the future.
The 10,000-square-foot abode sits on around 1.25-acres of land - while the main home consists of a total of four bedrooms.

Also on the property is a two-bedroom guest house as well as a spacious three-car garage that has a screening room above.
The mansion - which was first constructed sometime in the 1940s - also offers a swimming pool for residents to cool down in the hot summer temperatures and a hot tub.
The backyard also has a dirt walkway surrounded by plants and trees which leads to the pool area and other parts of the home.
A covered outdoor space offers plenty of room for entertaining and also has a kitchen space.
The front embodies Georgia-style details with tall white pillars at the entrance and dark shutters around the windows.
Both the kitchen and living room are part of an open floor plan - and wooden flooring covers most of the house.
The kitchen has a large island in the middle while the cabinetry is painted a dark bluish tint.
Other portions of the house have wood-paneled walls while one area allows natural sunlight to stream inside through the roof.
Renovations are yet to be completed, such as the landscape at the front of the property - which is also not far from a boat ramp that leads to Lady Bird Lake.

One of the bathrooms has partial brickwork on the walls, as well as tiled flooring and a bathtub that is separate from the shower.
A second kitchen area is located inside the mansion and also includes a long island in the middle and windows that offer a glimpse at the outdoor space.
Stone is no stranger to entering the real estate market and listed her Malibu home in 2022 and just one month later, it sold for $4.4 million.
Last year, Emma also put her Los Angeles home on the market - which sold only two weeks later for $4.3 million.
According to Realtor.com, the Easy A actress and her husband also own an apartment in Manhattan which is estimated to be worth around $12 million.
The pair - who tied the knot back in 2020 - are also parents to a daughter named Louise, four.
Stone has been keeping busy and recently made an appearance at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival to promote her upcoming project titled Eddington.
The Western comedy also stars Pedro Pascal, Austin Butler, Joaquin Phoenix, Luke Grimes and Deirdre O'Connell.
The premise is: 'In May of 2020, a standoff between a small-town sheriff and mayor sparks a powder keg as neighbor is pitted against neighbor in Eddington, New Mexico,' per IMDB.
Ari Aster wrote and directed the film - and is known for others movies such as Hereditary and Midsommar.
During a press conference at Cannes over the past weekend, the filmmaker opened up about what led him to penning the script to Eddington.
'I wrote this film in a state of fear and anxiety about the world, and I wanted to try to pull back and show what it feels like to live in a world where nobody can agree on what is real anymore,' he said, per The Hollywood Reporter.
'The last 20 years, we've fallen into this age of hyper individualism… I wanted to make a film about what America feels like at that time, and it felt bad.
'I'm very worried. We need to re-engage with each other. That's the only hope,' Aster added.
Last week on Friday, a screening of Eddington was shown during the film festival and garnered a seven-minute standing ovation.
Phoenix was visibly brought to tears over the positive reception and in a Vanity Fair clip, Aster addressed the audience.
'Thank you for being here. I feel very privileged to be here. It's a dream come true. Thank you so much for having me. And, I don't know - sorry? I don't know.'
Shortly before on the red carpet, a humorous moment took place when Emma was posing with some of her co-stars Austin Butler and Pedro Pascal.
At one point, a bee flew directly towards Stone's face - causing the actress to give a shocked reaction and bend backwards. Pascal and Butler soon intervened to brush the bee away as they continued to take pictures.
