Since dawn, 'Israeli' strikes kill 19 Palestinians across Gaza
Al-Aqsa TV reported that six people were killed and an unspecified number injured in 'Israeli' bombing that targeted Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
Mohammed Zaqout, director of hospitals in Gaza, said intense 'Israeli' shelling hit several areas in Khan Younis. He warned that medical staff at Nasser Medical Complex fear an imminent raid by 'Israeli' forces.
Zaqout added that panic has spread through the hospital following Israeli strikes on its immediate surroundings.
Later reports said five more people were killed in an 'Israeli' airstrike near the Falouja market in Jabalia, in the northern part of the strip.
On Sunday, 'Israel' escalated its ground operations in Gaza, pushing to expand a buffer zone along the eastern, northern, and southern borders of the enclave. Recent military movements suggest an emerging plan to divide the strip.
Analysts believe 'Israel' may now be working to isolate Khan Younis from central Gaza—having already severed it from Rafah by seizing the Morag corridor.

VIDEO: "Israel" strikes reportedly Hezbollah-linked weapons facility in eastern Lebanon
Israeli Occupation Minister Israel Katz announced Thursday that the "Israeli" military carried out airstrikes targeting Hezbollah sites in Lebanon, including what he claimed was a key facility for precision missile production in the eastern Bekaa Valley. According to Katz, the targeted site is believed to be Hezbollah's largest weapons manufacturing plant and has been struck multiple times since the ceasefire agreement took effect in November. The strikes are part of what he claimed was an ongoing effort to prevent the group from rearming. "Any attempt by the terrorist organization Hezbollah to regain strength or reestablish its threat will be met with relentless force," Katz stated. He also confirmed that several other Hezbollah-linked locations were hit, particularly sites where the group was allegedly attempting to rebuild its capabilities.

Putin meets Syrian FM in Moscow as ties reset
Russian President Vladimir Putin received Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shibani at the Kremlin on Thursday, marking the first high-level visit from Syria's new government since the ousting of longtime President Bashar al-Assad in December. Earlier in the day, al-Shibani met with his Russian counterpart, Sergey Lavrov, in what both sides described as a step toward reshaping the future of Syrian-Russian relations. Al-Shibani said Damascus aims to establish a 'correct and healthy' partnership with Moscow and is reassessing previous agreements signed under Assad's rule. 'We are here to represent the new Syria,' he declared, expressing hope for full cooperation in support of transitional justice and national reconciliation. 'There are great opportunities for Syria to emerge strong and united,' al-Shibani added, urging Russia to stand alongside the country as it rebuilds. Lavrov welcomed the visit, saying Moscow looks forward to the participation of Syrian President Ahmed al-Sharaa in the first Russia-Arab summit scheduled for October 15. The two foreign ministers launched discussions on future cooperation, including economic recovery and regional stability. Al-Shibani described the dialogue as 'strategic' and said Syria is 'extending its hand to the world' after years of isolation. In a veiled reference to the former regime, he noted that foreign relations had previously been misused against the Syrian people—a dynamic he said is now changing. Security, economic cooperation on the table Lavrov described the talks as 'very useful,' adding that the Syrian delegation will continue meetings with various Russian authorities. He said the two sides discussed trade, security, and economic cooperation under the 'new conditions,' and agreed to revive the Syrian-Russian joint committee to explore mutually beneficial projects. Lavrov also emphasized that all matters related to military and security collaboration remain of high interest to Syrian officials. On sanctions, Lavrov reiterated Russia's long-standing position, calling for the lifting of US sanctions on Syria, which he said have harmed ordinary Syrians rather than targeting political leaders. He reaffirmed Moscow's support for Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity and cautioned against turning the country into a battleground for global power rivalries. Military meetings In parallel, Syrian Defense Minister Marhaf Abu Qasra, Foreign Minister al-Shibani, and Intelligence Chief Hussein Salameh met with Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov. The two sides reportedly discussed joint military concerns to strengthen bilateral defense ties, according to Syrian state media. The visit signals a shift in Syrian foreign policy under the new leadership and an effort to reposition Syria diplomatically after over a decade of civil conflict and international isolation.

VIDEO: US envoy Witkoff meets with Netanyahu in 'Israel'
US President Donald Trump's Middle East envoy, Steve Witkoff, arrived in 'Israel' on Thursday for urgent talks as global condemnation intensifies over the humanitarian catastrophe unfolding in Gaza nearly two years into the war. Witkoff met 'Israeli' Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to discuss efforts to increase humanitarian aid and consider potential next steps, including a ceasefire. According to 'Israeli' media, the envoy may also visit a US-supported organization involved in food distribution inside Gaza. His visit comes after another bloody night in northern Gaza, where dozens of Palestinians were reportedly killed when Israeli Occupation troops opened fire near a humanitarian aid convoy. Gaza's civil defence agency said at least 58 people were killed when soldiers fired into a crowd that had swarmed trucks near the Zikim checkpoint. Jameel Ashour, a mourner at Gaza's Al-Shifa hospital, said chaos broke out when people saw looters snatching food supplies. 'When people saw thieves stealing and dropping food, the hungry crowd rushed in hopes of getting some,' Ashour told Agence France-Presse (AFP). The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) confirmed it had fired 'warning shots' near the convoy but said it had no information on fatalities. An AFP reporter documented the scene at the morgue, where bullet-ridden bodies were laid out. - Humanitarian tensions - The situation in Gaza has deteriorated rapidly, with UN-backed reports confirming that 'famine is now unfolding.' Images of malnourished children and mass hunger have fueled international calls for a ceasefire and greater aid access. Despite being one of 'Israel's' most vocal defenders, Trump has acknowledged the growing humanitarian disaster. Earlier this week, he publicly committed to boosting US aid shipments, warning that Gaza faces 'real starvation,' a remark that appeared to contradict Netanyahu, who continues to dismiss reports of widespread hunger. In a Truth Social post on Thursday, Trump doubled down on his support for 'Israel' but blamed the crisis on Hamas. 'The fastest way to end the Humanitarian Crises in Gaza is for Hamas to SURRENDER AND RELEASE THE HOSTAGES!!!' he wrote. Meanwhile, ceasefire negotiations remain at a standstill after both 'Israeli' and US teams withdrew from indirect talks in Doha last week. Witkoff has led Washington's involvement in those discussions. - Rising global frustration - Canada this week became the latest Western government to signal support for recognizing a Palestinian state, following similar statements from France and the United Kingdom. Prime Minister Mark Carney warned that 'no room for delay' remains as Gaza's civilian suffering deepens. 'Israel' rejected Canada's move, calling it part of a 'distorted campaign of international pressure.' Trump also criticized Ottawa, warning that such decisions could affect trade negotiations with Washington. Germany has joined the chorus of concern. Johann Wadephul, a senior German envoy, landed in Jerusalem on Thursday for meetings with Netanyahu and Foreign Minister Gideon Saar.
