This Top 100 restaurant is huge in Japan
I've been hearing from friends and readers alike that they're checking off restaurants on the Top 100, and, girl, same. (Either my colleague Cesar Hernandez or I ate at each of the restaurants on the list, but we both didn't go to all of them.) I recently paid a visit to No. 35 Kajiken, one of Cesar's picks. The San Mateo restaurant is an outpost of a popular Japanese chain that specializes in aburasoba, brothless noodles with mix and match toppings like ground meat, raw egg yolk and veggies. I opted for the nikumori aburasoba ($17.95), which features pork two ways — thinly sliced and finely minced — with scallions and an egg yolk. The noodles are endlessly customizable with a long list of add-ons and included condiments, but I followed our server's guidance and stuck to a side order of yogurt sauce ($1.25), a healthy glug of vinegar (essential) and a few twists of a grinder of dried garlic. Fantastic stuff worth waiting in line for, and I can't wait to return and try other combinations.
Burrata is often a phoned-in menu item, an easy-to-love dairy bomb that sounds fancy and doesn't require cooking, save for, potentially, a condiment. Fellow Top 100 restaurant Rich Table 's current burrata dish ($23), a riff on saag paneer, is aggressively not that and was, in fact, the highlight of a memorable recent meal. Dark leafy greens, cooked down with fresh fenugreek and other Indian spices, were a revelatory accompaniment to the creamy cheese and sun-dried tomatoes. The dish was served with warm roti, so satisfying to pull apart and swish through the spread.
Words I reach for when describing dips might include 'creamy,' 'silky' or even 'gooey,' but Dolores Deluxe 's Okinawa sweet potato dip ($8.49 for a half-pint container) is the first I've tried that is undeniably bouncy. Boysenberry purple in color and terrifically garlicky, it's still dippable — you'll have no trouble dragging a pita chip through it — but in very un-diplike fashion, it pulls away from the sides of the container. Is it flubber? The texture reminds me a little of that jelly blush that all the makeup influencers are swatching on TikTok. Bring it to your next picnic, the color alone makes it a guaranteed showstopper.

Still Beefin'! K. Michelle Performs Diss Track Aimed At Former LHHATL Castmate, Rasheeda Responds
Source: Udo Salters/Prince Williams K. Michelle is not one to let a beef subside, and her latest move directed at her former Love and Hip Hop Atlanta castmates, Kirk and Rasheeda Frost, is proving it. The 'Can't Raise A Man' singer performed her diss track, 'Rasheeda Got Bags,' aimed at the Atlanta rapper during her latest tour stop, and her fans had a kiki over the longstanding feud between the two. After a piano interlude, K. Michelle sang the track for her day ones, who remember where the initial rift in the pair's relationship first began. Fans of the long-running reality program may recall that Rasheeda drew criticism in the early aughts of the show when she accused K. Michelle of fabricating her tale of abuse at the hands of Atlanta producer Memphiz. Her story was later corroborated by his ex-wife Toya Johnson—who also revealed she'd experienced violence in their relationship. Memphiz himself confirmed the claims and publicly apologized to K via social media. Still, Rasheeda has never retracted her statement despite many fans calling upon her to own up to her mistake. Well, Rasheeda did take time to respond to K. Michelle's concert moment via The Shade Room's comments, saying, 'Yeap she still loves me. Forever living rent free in her mind btw…she opening up at my concert. Get yo tickets.' She then, with the help of her husband, Kirk, compared her Spotify streaming numbers to those of K. Michelle's, pointing out that her TikTok viral song, 'Marry Me,' has 2 billion streams. Mrs. Frost also noted that her monthly listeners were higher than the Memphis-born songstress. However, K. Michelle called cap on the stunt with her own post where she listed her accomplishments. 'You really sat there and let that man embarrass you AGAIN today,' she said. 'Talking about a spotify listener for a TikTok challenge song. Crazy. Im 4 #1 billboard albums, 2 platinum records, 5 gold records and JUST got off stage as I have been for years. You want me to keep going? This music discussion ended before it started just like your comical rap whisper.' She continued, 'Everyone knows you're not a talented lady. Don't deflect THIS is about mocking a woman's abuse for years and being the ringleader of the bashing me circus. You're MOST known for the longest running fool on TV. You got the karma you deserved. Now I am going to sleep I have another show tomorrow.' Rasheeda definitely lives by the belief that all press is good press as she seems to be relishing the fact that people are making fun of her on social media… again. In response to a recent TikTok trend where users found creative ways to ask one another to attend 'the Rasheeda concert' with them, the rapper dropped a freestyle with the line, 'y'all can pop y'all sh**, cause I ain't leaving Kirk,' much to the chagrin of everyone everywhere. Still, she seems to believe that people are laughing with her rather than at her, and honestly, the delulu determination must be peaceful. The post Still Beefin'! K. ‘No Booger Sugar Over Here': Chris Brown Responds To Claims That Cocaine Fuels His Work Ethic
Source: Kevin Mazur / Getty Chris Brown took time to respond to claims that cocaine is the driving force behind his onstage stamina and insane work ethic. The 'Breezy Bowl' headliner stepped into the comments of a TikTok user who praised his ability to perform at a high level professionally while being 'off that powder' and made sure people knew that he is not, in fact, skiing the slopes. 'This gotta be the craziest compliment/diss I've ever heard,' he said. 'Sorry to disappoint boo. No booger sugar over here. Had to comment because this has to be the funniest s**t I've seen all week. I'm just different.' The user's comment section quickly lit up with Breezy fans letting her know that he responded and shut down the rumored drug use to which she quickly commented that she was also 'Team Breezy' before saying 'I love your soul' to Chris. His diehard fanbase also commended the singer for his nice response as he's been known to cut deep on social media, at times. Team Breezy has been lighting social media up with praise for his latest tour—which is a tribute to his 20-year career—and viral dances to his latest single 'It Depends' ft. Bryson Tiller. His loyal fans have been posting their responses to the more than two hours he is spending onstage every night with live vocals and the larger than life choreography he's become known for. With the tour only just getting underway, there hasn't been a rundown of his outlandish meet and greet moments quite yet but with an asking price of over $1000, we're sure the girlies are getting their monies worth. With major cities like Los Angeles, Houston, Atlanta, DC, and Las Vegas still on the list of cities he'll hit, Breezy fans are sure to be spending the rest of the summer and fall showing love to their fav. Ex-Superman Dean Cain Joins ICE, Social Media Cooks Super Lame
Source: DOMINIC GWINN / Getty Former 'Superman' actor Dean Cain announced that he's joined ICE, leading to unsurprised replies and jabs from social media. As the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency has wreaked havoc in the United States in line with President Donald Trump's agenda towards immigrants, conservative actor and former 'Superman' star Dean Cain has announced that he's joined ICE. He spoke about joining the agency while appearing on Fox News' Jesse Watters Primetime on Wednesday (August 6), revealing that his posting of a recruitment video led to his ultimately signing up. 'I'm actually… a sworn deputy sheriff and a reserve police officer – I wasn't part of ICE, but once I put that (the recruitment video) out there and you put a little blurb on your show, it went crazy,' Cain said to Watters. 'So now I've spoken with some officials over at ICE and I will be sworn in as an ICE agent ASAP.' Cain is a sworn sheriff's deputy in Frederick County, Virginia and has served as a reserve officer in two Idaho counties in 2018 and 2019. We care about your data. See our privacy policy. The former Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman star continued, 'This country was built on patriots stepping up, whether it was popular or not, and doing the right thing. I truly believe this is the right thing.' He added that it was what Trump ran on, and 'It's what I voted for and he's going to see it through, and I'll do my part and help make sure it happens.' The announcement earned Cain an overwhelming amount of scorn online. The 59-year-old has been a staunch conservative for years as well as an avid supporter of Trump. Many weren't surprised at the actor's moves, with media personality Van Lathan dismissing fellow panelist Scott Jennings' defense of him on CNN: 'Scott, it's not 1995. No one gives a sad hell what Dean Cain thinks. Dean needs the $50,000 – that's what got him off the couch.' Others pointed out how Cain is willfully joining an agency who has been consistently criticized for its aggressive mass deportations and arrests nationwide placing people in detention camps, recalling the actor's detailing of how his Japanese-American relatives on his father's side of the family were in the Minidoka War Relocation Center in Idaho during World War II.
