Far-left, anti-Israel Bronx activist group shockingly cheers accused DC Jewish Museum terrorist Elias Rodriguez, encourages more violence
A far-left, anti-Israel group in the Bronx disgustingly cheered the suspected terrorist accused of gunning down the two Israeli Embassy staffers in an antisemitic attack.
The Bronx Anti-War group said what alleged gunman Elias Rodriguez 'did is the highest expression of anti-Zionism' and 'We need more Elias Rodriguez in this world' in a pair of social media posts on Thursday.
The shocking statements quickly drew fire from Bronx Rep. Ritchie Torres.
'The Bronx Anti-War coalition, which has been harassing me since October 7th, has described the murderous targeting of Jews as 'the highest expression of anti-Zionism,'' Torres said in a statement.
'Violence is not a bug but a feature of virulent Anti-Zionism.'
Rodriguez, 31, was charged with fatally shooting Sarah Milgrim and her boyfriend Yaron Lischinsky Wednesday night shortly after 9 p.m. outside the Capital Jewish Museum in Washington, DC.
The coalition is described as a Bronx-based group made up of working-class people who are anti-imperialist and led by people of color. They push for 'resisting state violence while advancing decolonization.'
The group insists on its website that it backs the 'right to resist colonial imperialism by any means necessary, including armed struggle.'
'We are not a pacifist movement and believe there can be no peace without justice,' the group said.
The group, which has about 3,400 followers on X, only 200 followers on Facebook and a seemingly defunct Instagram account, also called for Israel to be abolished.
The Post has sought comment from the depraved group.
Rodriguez, who flew in from Chicago, allegedly fired nearly two dozen shots at Milgrim and Lischinsky, even after the two fell to the ground, according to court documents.
Milgrim crawled away in a desperate attempt to escape.
The couple were set to be engaged next week.

The foundation said it held the militant group 'fully responsible' for the deaths of 'dedicated workers who have been distributing humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.' The group called on the international community to condemn Hamas for the attack. 'Tonight, the world must see this for what it is: an attack on humanity,' it said. The aid organization has repeatedly criticized Hamas, saying that for days it had 'openly' threatened workers and civilians. Trump Unironically Attends 'Les Misérables' As Protests Spread
As protests against his immigration policies balloon nationwide, President Donald Trump is seeing one of his favorite musicals on Wednesday night: 'Les Misérables,' the story of an anti-government uprising, abusive police and harsh imprisonment. Trump is going to opening night of the famous musical's one-month run at Washington, D.C.'s John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, whose entire board of trustees he replaced in February and had them name him chairman. 'We've seen it many times,' Trump said upon arriving at the Kennedy Center with first lady Melania Trump. 'Love it. One of my favorites.' When a reporter asked him which side of the musical's conflict he most identified with, Trump laughed and refused to answer. 'That's tough. You better answer that one, honey,' he said, gesturing to the first lady. 'I don't know.' When another reporter asked how he felt about reports that some of the 'Les Misérables' cast would be boycotting the night of his performance, Trump said he 'couldn't care less.' 'All I do is run the country well,' he retorted. Trump received a mixture of cheers and boos when he took his seat at the theater. His attendance comes after he deployed National Guard troops to face largely peaceful protesters in Los Angeles and announced he was sending in Marines, despite pushback from local leadership. 'Les Misérables,' the musical based on the 1862 novel of the same name, tells the story of French peasant Jean Valjean after he emerges from a 19-year prison sentence for stealing a loaf of bread for his niece. Much of the musical centers around student demonstrations against the French monarchy. They received applause as they walked in to the theater, social media videos show. Vagenesis, whose government name is Anderson Wells, was one of the planned attendees. 'Theater is supposed to be a place of community, a place of storytelling, a place of celebration, joy, catharsis and it should be open and available to all,' Vagenesis told NPR on Wednesday. Trump's former Vice President Mike Pence similarly caused a stir when he went to see 'Hamilton' shortly after winning the 2016 election. He was loudly booed when he arrived at the Manhattan theater. When Pence was trying to exit the theater after the final curtain call, actor Brandon Dixon, who was playing the part of Aaron Burr, asked him to stay and delivered a message to him. CIA analyst who leaked Israel strike plan sentenced to three years
A former CIA analyst who leaked classified documents about Israel's plans to strike Iran has been sentenced to 37 months in prison. Asif William Rahman, 34, pleaded guilty in January to two counts of willful retention and transmission of national defence information under the Espionage Act. Authorities say that, using his high-level security clearance, Rahman printed, photographed and sent out top secret documents. They later ended up being circulated on social media. Israel carried out air strikes on Iran last October, targeting military sites in several regions, in response to the barrage of missiles launched by Tehran weeks earlier. "For months, this defendant betrayed the American people and the oaths he took upon entering his office by leaking some of our Nation's most closely held secrets," John Eisenberg, assistant attorney general for national security, said in a press release. In October 2024, documents appearing to be from a Department of Defense agency were published on an Iranian-aligned Telegram account. The documents, bearing a top-secret mark, were viewable between the Five Eyes intelligence alliance, made up of the US, Britain, Canada, New Zealand and Australia. The leaked documents are also said to have contained the US' assessment of Israeli plans ahead of the strike on Iran and the movements of military assets in preparation. One referred to Israel's nuclear capabilities, which have never been officially acknowledged. When asked about the leak, former President Joe Biden said he was "deeply concerned". Israel ended up carrying out those air strikes later in the month, targeting military sites in several regions in response to missiles fired by Tehran weeks prior. Rahman, who worked abroad, was arrested by the FBI in Cambodia and brought to the US territory of Guam to face charges.
