Rajanna Foundation donates ALS ambulance under CSR initiative
Tirupati: Ina significant boost to public healthcare and education in Chittoor district, Rajanna Foundations, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, has donated an Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance worth Rs 35 lakh and contributed Rs 15 lakh towards the modernisation of a government school in P Kothakota of Puthalapattu constituency.
The new ambulance, equipped with life-saving features including advanced CPR systems, was officially launched on Wednesday at the Chittoor District Government Hospital. District Collector Sumit Kumar inaugurated the facility in the presence of Chittoor MLA Gurajala Jagan Mohan, Puthalapattu MLA K Murali Mohan, Mayor Amudha, Amara Hospitals Managing Director Dr Rama Devi Gourineni, and CHUDA Chairperson Katari Hemalatha.
Addressing the gathering, the Collector said the total CSR contribution of Rs 50 lakh would strengthen both emergency medical services and educational infrastructure in the district. He expressed gratitude to the Rajanna Foundations and partner organisations for their philanthropic support and commitment to regional development.
Chittoor MLA Jagan Mohan noted that the advanced ambulance, provided upon the request of the district administration, would be instrumental in saving lives, especially during critical emergencies. Puthalapattu MLA Murali Mohan emphasised the need for robust emergency services, particularly along the frequently accident-prone national highway between P Kothakota and Chandragiri. Amara Hospitals MD Dr Rama Devi said the ambulance donation reflects their commitment to improving healthcare access in Chittoor, her hometown.

Indore: As Covid-19 cases are witnessing an uptick, manufacturers of Ayurvedic and herbal products in Indore have ramped up their production capacities, anticipating a surge in demand for immunity-boosting products. Usually, summers remain the lean season for immunity booster syrups and tablets, but the resurgence of Covid-19 cases led to a jump in enquiries, prompting many units to prepare for increased production ahead of their usual season. Ayush Nirmata Sangh secretary Ashish Dubey said, "We are anticipating a surge in demand for immunity boosters as cases of Covid-19 again started to increase. Many units started preparations and are gradually increasing production." Another manufacturer owner of a local Ayurvedic firm Ravi Kumar said, "We saw an increase in enquiries for our immunity products. To meet this demand, we are expanding our operations to ensure we can deliver quality products to our customers promptly. Also, monsoon and winters are main demand period of Ayurvedic products when demand rises." Complete registration for cashless treatment scheme in three days, hosps told
Indore: In a significant move to ensure immediate and free medical care for road accident victims, Indore district administration on Saturday informed city-based hospitals about Cashless Treatment Scheme-2025 of Centre. This scheme allows anyone injured in a road accident to receive cashless treatment, with a maximum cover of Rs 1.5 lakh. Collector Asheesh Singh, in a meeting with hospital operators in district, issued directives for effective implementation of the scheme. He stressed that providing prompt and free treatment to critically injured road accident victims must be a priority. All hospitals are required to complete their registration for the scheme within the next three days. He urged hospital operators to adhere to prescribed procedures under the scheme and to coordinate closely with the district road safety committee. All departments, hospitals, and institutional heads concerned have been directed to ensure compliance with the Cashless Treatment Scheme so that every person injured in a road accident receives timely and appropriate treatment. He reiterated that providing timely treatment and assistance to the injured is a priority for the state govt. In addition, the state govt has also implemented Rahvir Yojana. Under this scheme, individuals who transport road accident victims to a hospital for treatment will receive Rs 25,000. The collector stated that all hospitals must register within the next three days, allowing the scheme to be fully operational within the next seven days. The meeting clarified that under this scheme, if a person is injured in a motor vehicle accident, they will receive cashless treatment at a designated hospital for a maximum of seven days. Treatment at any other hospital after an accident will only be permitted for stabilization procedures, after which the patient must be transferred to a designated hospital for further treatment. The scheme provides a maximum of Rs 1.5 lakh in cashless treatment per victim. The smooth implementation of the scheme will be monitored by the district road safety committee, constituted under Section 215(3) of the Motor Vehicles Act-1988.
