'Bha Bha Ba': Mohanlal joins Dileep' film amid tight security?
Reports are circulating that Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has joined the sets of 'Bha. Bha. Ba', the upcoming Dileep-starrer, for a highly anticipated cameo appearance. The shoot, currently underway in Ernakulam, is reportedly being conducted under tight security, fuelling speculation about Lalettan's presence.
According to sources including Cine Loco, Mohanlal is expected to be part of a major action sequence alongside Dileep, and may also feature in a song. After wrapping up the current schedule in Ernakulam, the team is set to move to Walayar in Palakkad for a 10-day shoot.
Bha Bha Ba - Official Teaser
While an official confirmation is still awaited, fans are thrilled at the prospect of seeing Mohanlal and Dileep sharing screen space again. If confirmed, his cameo in 'Bha Bha Ba' will mark yet another crowd-pleasing appearance from the beloved star.
Recently, the makers had shared the teaser for 'Bha. Bha Ba.' which received good responses from the audiences.
About 'Bha Bha Ba'
Directed by debutant Dhananjay Shankar and written by actors Fahim Safar and Noorin Shereef, Bha Bha Ba is described as an action-comedy thriller. Dileep is said to be playing a quirky and dark-shaded character in this entertainer. Vineeth Sreenivasan and Dhyan Sreenivasan join him in pivotal roles.
The film also includes actors Balu Varghese, Sandy Master, Baiju Santhosh, Saranya Ponvannan, Ashokan, and Sidharth Bharathan.
Mohanlal's recent work
Mohanlal was last seen in 'Thudarum', which was directed by Tharun Moorthy. 'Thudarum' received 3 stars from ETimes and an excerpt from our review reads, "Tharun, whose last film Saudi Vellakka won a National Award, could have done better to have created a more subtle story; this very much has an ''80s-'90s feel. For Mohanlal fans, his raw magnetism might be exciting, but with its loud and overwritten scenes, the acting lacks nuance all around.
"
On the other hand, Dileep's previous outing was the family entertainer 'Prince and Family'.

Siddhant Chaturvedi Says 'Ananya Panday Was Always An Actress' After Anurag Kashyap's Remark On Her Growth
Siddhant Chaturvedi says Ananya Panday's growth had nothing to do with his 'struggle' comment. Actor Siddhant Chaturvedi has broken his silence on filmmaker Anurag Kashyap's recent remark suggesting that actress Ananya Panday matured as a performer following the much-discussed 2020 'struggle" comment that reignited the nepotism debate. In an interview with ETimes, Siddhant downplayed any personal credit for Ananya's evolution, emphasizing her own talent and perseverance. 'I don't think it's my contribution. Independently, she is a very strong girl, very, very talented, and a nice person to be with," he said. The two actors have previously shared screen space in Gehraiyaan and Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, both of which sparked conversations around their chemistry and onscreen compatibility. Reflecting on their collaborations, Siddhant said, 'I have done two films with her and I look forward to doing more. I don't think your growth happens because of anyone. Either you are an actor, or you are not. She was always an actress. It's just that she got those opportunities and she excelled." He added warmly, 'Whenever we have collaborated, it has worked. I think we are each other's lucky charm." Siddhant's response comes after Kashyap recently observed that Ananya had displayed remarkable growth and self-awareness post the backlash from the 2020 roundtable discussion, where Siddhant's pointed remark had gone viral: 'Jahaan humare sapne poore hote hain, wahi inka struggle shuru hota hai" (Their struggles begin where our dreams come true). The comment, aimed at the privilege gap between outsiders and star kids in the industry, became a defining moment in the ongoing nepotism discourse in Bollywood. Meanwhile, Siddhant is gearing up for the release of Dhadak 2, the much-anticipated follow-up to the 2018 romantic drama Dhadak. Directed by Shazia Iqbal and backed by Dharma Productions, the sequel stars Siddhant alongside Animal breakout star Triptii Dimri. Unlike the first film, which was an adaptation of Sairat, Dhadak 2 promises a fresh storyline rooted in a different socio-political backdrop, exploring themes of love, class divide, and rebellion. Dhadak 2 is slated to hit theatres on August 1. Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's. Please keep discussions respectful and constructive. Prithviraj says his first sense of belonging in the world is being Indian, not from Kerala
With 'Sarzameen', Prithviraj Sukumaran steps into the heart of a nation torn between ideals, identity, and unwavering love for one's homeland. The upcoming film, which explores themes of national duty, personal sacrifice, and moral conflict, features the popular actor as an officer on duty, one as vulnerable as he is fierce. At a time when patriotism is constantly being redefined and debated, India Today exclusively asked Prithviraj what it means to him. 'I only have one meaning for it. I don't have too many meanings for it,' he said, adding, 'When I say I'm patriotic, I mean that I absolutely love my country and I'm very proud of the fact that I'm an Indian.'advertisementThe actor exclaims, 'Wherever you go in the world, wherever I am in [any part of] the world, whatever I'm doing, my first sense of belonging is the fact that I'm from India. It's not the fact that I'm from Kerala, it's not the fact that I speak Malayalam, or that you speak Hindi, or are from Maharashtra. If tomorrow you're in some part of the world and people ask you where you're from, I'm not going to say I'm from Trivandrum. I'm going to say I'm from India. So that sense of belonging, and the pride in that sense of belonging, is what I think is patriotism for me. I'm deeply patriotic that way.' 'Sarzameen' is set to premiere on JioHotstar on July 25, 2025. The film also stars Kajol and Ibrahim Ali Khan in pivotal roles. - EndsYou May Also Like
