Broadenax was reportedly caught inside the home and fled without his daughter
A man has been charged with breaking and entering — and allegedly forcing his 11-year-old daughter to help, prosecutors says.
On Monday, May 5, Wayne County Prosecutor's Office in Michigan announced that Andre Stephon-Curtis Broadenax, 29, faces several felony charges in connection with a home invasion and a car theft in the Detroit area.
The prosecutor's office claimed that Broadenax 'forced' his way inside the home of a 75-year-old Detroit man on Marquette Drive on April 29 at approximately 8:43 p.m. local time. Authorities alleged that he arrived at the home in a stolen car — which belonged to a 52-year-old Dearborn Heights man — with his 11-year-old daughter in tow.
'It is also alleged that the defendant forced his 11-year-old daughter to assist him with the home invasion,' the prosecutor's office said.

Broadenax allegedly fled the scene 'on foot' before he was eventually arrested 'a short time later' by officers with the Detroit Police Department, the prosecutor's office said.
According to a police dispatch and neighbors, the homeowner's son arrived at the property at around 8:45 p.m. and "discovered Broadenax inside the home," which was being renovated, WXYZ- TV reported.
Per the outlet, Broadenax allegedly ran away and left behind the stolen car, along with his daughter.

One neighbor, David Bridges, told WXYZ-TV that his aunt had gone to the balcony and saw 'all the cops outside." He said police established a perimeter fence in the neighborhood as they worked to capture the home invasion suspect.
The Wayne County Prosecutor's Office said Broadenax has since been charged with first-degree home Invasion, second-degree home invasion, larceny in a building, receiving and concealing a motor vehicle, inducing a minor to commit a felony and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.
He was arraigned on May 2 and initially given a $75,000 bond with a GPS tether and house arrest. However, the judge increased his bond to $150,000 on Monday.
Broadenax's next court appearance is scheduled for May 14.

Suge Knight Expresses Sympathy For Diddy In New Interview

Source: Pool / Getty Even while behind bars Suge Knight is not the one to hold his tongue. He has now weighed in on Diddy's ongoing federal trial. The Deathrow Records founder recently conducted several in depth interviews spanning several hours with ABC News . During the conversations Suge Knight made it clear that while he still has his issues with Diddy, he believes that many of the problems within the Rap industry are systemic issues. 'If you're going to make Puffy answer, make everyone answer,' Suge explained. 'Change the theme of the culture of the problems in Hip-Hop. I think it'd be a great thing to let Puffy tell his truth. Tell the real truth, and bring everybody accountable.' When asked about the notorious 'Freak Offs' Suge said that there have been rumors about Diddy's sex life since the 1990s. 'Everybody knew that,' Knight revealed. 'Puffy didn't just pop in the industry and say 'hey, I want to have sex with everybody. I mean, we don't have enough time to name all the names.' Since the trial has commenced Suge Knight's name has been mentioned close to 50 times. Diddy's former assistant Capricorn Clark testified that Combs frequently chastised her because she worked for Suge Knight prior. She also claimed that Diddy threatened because of her work history. 'He told me he didn't know that I had anything to do with Suge Knight and, if anything happened, he would have to kill me,' she said. Capricorn also alleged that Diddy blackballed her from the music industry making it nearly impossible to find other work. Suge Knight detailed how someone of Diddy's stature could easily do such a thing. 'She did great things for Puffy. Anything he needed, she got it. Anything he wanted, if she didn't have it, she made it happen,' he said. 'A lot of people might say, well, Capricorn could have did anything else she wanted to do. She did try. If you go get a job at Universal and Puffy makes a phone call, you're not getting that job. If you go get a job at a counter agency or in the movie business and Puff make that call, your career is over.' Suge Knight also expressed some sympathy toward Diddy and his situation. 'I feel that people in Puffy's life, going on his journey growing up, they failed him,' he said. 'Do I think he made some mistakes? I think he repeats what he's seen. He repeats what he learned.' Diddy has pleaded not guilty to all the charges. If convicted on all counts he could face life in prison. Black History Mural In Miami Defaced With Swastikas And Racist Graffiti

Source: Art Wager / Getty In today's episode of Attack Of The Fragile Vandals , a Black history mural at Dorsey Park in Miami's Overtown neighborhood has been defaced with swastikas, racial slurs and other racist graffiti, likely put there by a person (or persons) who gets their Confederate flag under garments in a bunch at the sight of Black culture being commemorated. (And, look, I'm not saying they're probably Trump supporters, but they're probably yuge fans of authoritarian governments that lie about 'white genocide' while trying to ban all teachings on anti-Black systemic racism into 'woke' oblivion.) From CBS News: The vandalism appeared on a section of the mural at NW 17th St. and NW 1st Ave., part of a historic public art effort led by the MLK Mural Project, Urgent Inc., and Touching Miami with Love. Painted in 2012, the mural was created to honor the cultural legacy of Dorsey Park, once home to the Negro Leagues' Ethiopian Clowns. Artist and community organizer Kyle Holbrook, who founded the MLK Mural Project, led the effort to commemorate African American icons and local history. The mural features figures such as Jackie Robinson, whose image was among those defaced. 'This was an act of hate, but it will not define us,' Holbrook said. 'This mural was born from a community's pride, history, and power. We will restore it—stronger, bolder, and with even more purpose. Black history is American history. And no spray paint can erase that truth.' It's starting to feel like a trend, honestly. Last week, in Texas — arguably the only state that rivals Florida when it comes to labeling non-whitewashed Black history 'woke' in order to justify banning it just to placate white nationalism and white fragility — a historical marker in downtown Dallas that tells the story of a Black man, Allen Brooks, who was lynched by a white mob in 1910, was cut down at the base and destroyed by unkown vandals. The week before that, a white man in Beachwood, Ohio, was accused of checking out 100 books on Black, Jewish and LGBTQ studies and burning them all on camera. Hell, when it comes down to it, the destruction of Black Lives Matter Plaza in Washington, D.C., was done by the current administration in an effort to appease the same white and eternally fragile people who are likely out here vandalizing Black historical renderings out of pure racial resentment. As for the mural at Dorsey, CBS reports that 'local leaders, artists and residents are organizing efforts to restore and expand the mural, using the incident as a call for unity,' and they're asking community members to participate in the effort. Hopefully, the mural will be restored. Hopefully, all of the defaced Black historical art across the nation will be as well. As for the hatred and bigotry that causes the vandalism — well, that's just America making itself great again , unfortunately. Suge Knight Addresses Diddy's Sex Trafficking Trial: 'Tell The Real Truth, And Bring Everybody Accountable'

Source: Kevork Djansezian / Getty As we enter the fourth week of Diddy's sex trafficking and racketeering case, many of Diddy's former acquaintances have been put on the stand, and now one of his biggest enemies is speaking out. Suge Knight spoke to ABC News, and despite the two being on opposite sides and catalysts behind the decades-old East Coast-West Coast beef, he's not putting all the blame on Diddy for his sexual behaviors, claiming others were involved but falling short of naming anyone. 'If you're going to make Puffy answer, make everyone answer,' Knight began. 'Change the theme of the culture of the problems in Hip-Hop. I think it'd be a great thing to let Puffy tell his truth. Tell the real truth, and bring everybody accountable.' Knight adds that Diddy's freak offs may have become public knowledge in 2023 due to Cassie's lawsuit, but they had been happening long before and were an open secret in the Hip-Hop world. 'Everybody knew that,' Knight said. 'Puffy didn't just pop in the industry and say, 'hey, I want to have sex with everybody.' I mean, we don't have enough time to name all the names.' Suge Knight speaks out about Sean 'Diddy' Combs sex trafficking case. — ABC News (@ABC) June 2, 2025 Knight, who's currently serving a 28-year sentence for a fatal hit and run in 2015, has been mentioned 50 times in Diddy's trial. Most recently, he was a topic of discussion when Diddy's former assistant Capricorn Clark took the stand. She revealed that once Diddy found out that she used to work for Knight, her new boss told her he'd kill her if anything sketchy happened. Diddy's lawyer Marc Agnifilo pressed Clark on why she'd continue to work for someone who was allegedly so dangerous, but Knight points out that it's because of how much power Diddy had. Knight said he felt bad for Clark and applauded her for her ambition and desire to succeed in the entertainment industry. 'A lot of people might say, well, Capricorn could have did anything else she wanted to do. She did try,' Knight said. 'If you go get a job at Universal and Puffy makes a phone call, you're not getting that job. If you go get a job at a counter agency or in the movie business and Puff make that call, your career is over.' Even with their long-standing beef, Knight doesn't think prosecutors should take 'Puffy and lock him up and throw away the key,' because he thinks he can 'do so much good right now.' Knight advises that he take the stand to tell the truth and take a plea deal, which he already turned down ahead of the trial. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Akademiks TV (@djakademikstv) Knight also turned heads recently during another phone interview with Piers Morgan, where he claimed Diddy and Ray J were romantically involved. 'Ray J and Puffy was definitely lovers,' Knight claimed. 'Puffy allegedly gave him $10 million dollars to put out an album about the two brothers loving each other.'
