Britain is on the brink of civil unrest, Farage warns as he pledges life in prison for serial sex criminals

The Suna day ago
BRITAIN teeters on the edge of chaos, Nigel Farage declared today, as he vowed to throw serial offenders behind bars for life.
The Reform Party chief warned that "simmering anger and disgust" over the flood of migrants entering the country could ignite a national meltdown.

Mr Farage pointed to violent clashes outside a small boat hotel in Epping, Essex, as proof that the public's faith in the state to protect them is rapidly crumbling.
The fiery protest was triggered by a 38-year-old Ethiopian illegal migrant, who was arrested and later charged with three counts of sexual assault.
Mr Farage said: 'On Epping, I don't think anybody in London even understands just how close we are to civil disobedience on a vast scale in this country, and I regret saying that.
'Don't underestimate the simmering anger and disgust there is in this country that we are letting in every week, some days, many hundreds of undocumented young males, many of whom come from cultures in which women and young girls are not even treated as second-class citizens.'
Unveiling Reform's £17.4bn crime and policing plan in Westminster, Mr Farage vowed to slash illegal behaviour in half if he triumphs in the next election.
He pledged to impose life sentences on anyone convicted of a serious crime three times.
Mr Farage also promised to recruit an extra 30,000 police officers within five years of taking office.
Doubling down on his hardline stance, the Reform boss revealed plans to ship Britain's 10,000 worst paedophiles and murderers to serve their sentences in countries like El Salvador.
He said: 'I haven't spoken to El Salvador yet, but we do know they're quite happy to take American violent offenders, so I don't see any reason why not.
'They want the money, they want the income,' he added.
On migrant crime, Mr Farage vowed to deport every foreign criminal and claimed he's already struck a deal with Albania's PM Edi Rama to take back Albanian offenders.
Reform MP and ex-magistrate Sarah Pochin lashed out at 'woke policing,' warning Brits have had 'enough.'
She fumed: 'We have had enough of our police being in denial about the increasing threat to our own safety from the influx of illegal immigrants.
'Enough of police no longer using stop and search to tackle knife crime, enough of police ignoring mobile phone theft, ignoring the rise of blatant cannabis use on our streets, sympathising with protest groups that simply do not reflect the views of the majority of the British people.
'Police need to police with impartiality.'

Man charged in the killings of an 'American Idol' exec and her husband called 911 afterward, DA says

The man accused of killing an 'American Idol' executive and her husband used the couple's gun to kill them and later called the police, authorities allege. Los Angeles police previously said they responded to a 911 call about a burglary that afternoon, July 10, but left after finding 'no signs of forced entry or trouble.' Officers found the bodies of Robin Kaye and Thomas Deluca four days later at their home in the Encino neighborhood of Los Angeles while carrying out a welfare check. They had been shot to death. During a town hall meeting Monday, Los Angeles District Attorney Nathan Hochman told concerned residents that the man charged in the killings, Raymond Boodarian, made the initial 911 call, ABC7 reported. He said Boodarian used a gun registered to one of the victims in the attack, which authorities believe happened when they arrived home unexpectedly while he was burglarizing the place. Boodarian, 22, was arrested the day after the bodies were found. His lawyer, Brad Siegel, didn't immediately respond to an Associated Press voicemail Tuesday seeking comment. Kaye had been with 'American Idol,' the hit singing competition TV series, for more than 15 years and was working on the upcoming season at the time of her death. She had also worked in the music departments of several other productions, including 'The Singing Bee,' 'Hollywood Game Night,' 'Lip Sync Battle,' and several Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.

Teddi Mellencamp's Los Angeles home targeted in burglary while she was there with kids and husband

The Los Angeles home of former 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Teddi Mellencamp was targeted in a burglary while she was there with her estranged husband and their children. Mellencamp and her husband Edwin Arroyave, who have paused divorce proceedings during her stage 4 melanoma cancer treatment, were home with their four children when three intruders tried to break into the Encino home through a side door Monday night, NBC News Los Angeles reported. 'A little shocked still. It's definitely a little shocking," Arroyave told the local outlet. "Three individuals basically jumped the gate and, luckily, the cameras detected people jumping. So, we knew, right away." The intruders were in the home for roughly 20 seconds and never made contact with the homeowners. Arroyave said while police responded quickly the intruders were gone by the time they arrived. 'Luckily, nothing happened, they just ran out,' Arroyave said. Just minutes before Mellencamp's home was broken into, there was a report of a possible burglary at another Encino home two and a half miles away. Police said, per the local outlet, the homeowners were not at the house but were able to call 911 after they saw the intruders on their security cameras. The reported break-ins come less than two weeks after American Idol executive Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas Deluca, were fatally shot in their Encino home around the same time a neighbor called 911 to report seeing a man scaling a wall that surrounds their house. Kaye and Deluca had returned home to find suspect Raymond Boodarian, 22. Boodarian has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of first-degree burglary. Mellencamp is not the first real housewife to be the target of a break-in. 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star Dorit Kemsley was the victim of an armed robbery at her Encino home in October 2021. Kemsely said she was held at gunpoint by three intruders as her children were sleeping. She had an estimated $1 million worth of jewelry and handbags stolen. 'When they came into my bedroom, when they had the gun to my head, I thought, 'This is it, this is how I'm going to die,'' Kemsley said on Season 12 of the Bravo show. Kemsley's co-star Kyle Richards also had a break-in at her Encino home in 2017. 'After we were burglarized, it probably took me at least six months to feel safe in my home again,' Kyle said on season 12.

A man in his 60s has been arrested on suspicion of her murder and is in police custody at a hospital. Police were called to an address in Monmouth Close at 9.17am and arrived at the scene at 9.50am. The man was arrested 'a few minutes later' before paramedics pronounced the woman dead at the scene. Neighbourhood Inspector Jon Eamer, of Avon and Somerset Police, said the woman was yet to be formally identified but her family were aware of her death. 'The woman's family are aware of her death and our sympathies are with them at this incredibly upsetting time,' he said. 'We will ensure they receive support from specially trained officers going forward. 'Detectives from our major crime investigation team are conducting extensive enquiries at the scene to establish exactly what has happened. A forensic post-mortem examination will also be carried out as part of our investigation. 'We can confirm a man has been arrested on suspicion of murder. He remains in police custody at hospital. 'Our enquiries are at an early stage, but we'd like to reassure everyone we do not believe there is any increased risk to members of the public. 'Nevertheless, we know this tragic incident will cause concern and upset in the local community, and therefore we will ensure neighbourhood officers are available in the area to provide help and support to anyone who needs us.' Westonzoyland is a small village east of Bridgwater which is home to 1,465 people, according to the 2021 census.
