Antrim and Fermanagh promoted to Division Three
Antrim and Fermanagh secured promotion and spots in the Ladies Football League Division Four Final after victories in high-scoring contests on Sunday. The Saffrons earned a 5-8 to 3-10 win over last year's All-Ireland Intermediate champions Leitrim at Kingscourt with Fermanagh beating Sligo 5-12 to 3-13 at Tarmonbarry in county Roscommon.Early goals from Omolara Danhunsi, Anna Mulholland and skipper Bronagh Devlin helped the Saffrons lead Leitrim 3-6 to 2-5 at half-time.Nicole Jones fired in Antrim's fourth major in the second half with Devlin completing a 2-3 haul as she fired in the Saffrons' closing goal three minutes from time.Fermanagh were determined to achieve promotion after losing in the Division Four semi-finals last season and Eimear Smyth's 1-8 and Joanne Doonan's 2-1 helped them battle past Sligo.Sligo hit the opening three points but Doonan's opening goal in the 11th minute was soon followed by Smyth finding the net which helped the Erne women into a five-point advantage. The Yeats County were back in front after Ciara Walsh and Cara King netted but their lead didn't last long as Doonan's second goal and a Cliodhna Martin strike left Fermanagh 4-4 to 2-6 up at the interval.Fermanagh put further daylight between the teams after the resumption with a run of 1-3 which included their fifth goal from Sinead Barrett. As the impressive Smyth continued to tag on points, Fermanagh were never really under threat in the closing quarter despite Carol Coleman's late Sligo goal and they can now look forward to the Division Four Final on 13 April. In Division Two, Donegal were beaten 1-8 to 0-8 by Cork, who will face Galway in the decider, with the Rebels and Tribeswomen having secured promotion to Division One. Cavan will meet Wexford in the Division Three Final safe in the knowledge that promotion has been secured. The Breffni defeated Limerick 0-10 to 0-9 on Sunday in what was a dead rubber with both promotion and their final spot already achieved.Lidl National Ladies Football League resultsDivision OneDublin 2-12 Kerry 2-10Kildare 4-10 Tyrone 2-8Meath 2-12 Armagh 4-5Waterford 2-13 Mayo 1-6Division TwoCork 1-8 Donegal 0-8Galway 4-22 Clare 0-5Westmeath 2-11 Monaghan 0-13Tipperary 1-12 Roscommon 0-10Division ThreeLouth 7-12 Offaly 1-8Cavan 0-10 Limerick 0-9Down v Carlow - Down walkoverWexford 3-9 Laois 0-10Division Four semi-finalsFermanagh 5-12 Sligo 3-13Antrim 5-08 Leitrim 3-10

Five-goal Wexford knock Antrim out of Tailteann Cup
Antrim's season ended in dismal fashion as they crashed out of the Tailteann Cup with a 5-23 to 2-21 defeat by Wexford in the preliminary quarter-finals. Having narrowly earned a spot in the prelims as the third best of the third-placed teams in the round-robin stage, Andy McEntee's side hoped to stage another stirring run through the knockout rounds after back-to-back semi-final appearances in 2023 and they were well beaten in Wexford Park as they were put to the sword by the Model County's full-forward line of Sean Nolan (2-3), Ben Brosnan (1-2) and Jack Higgins (0-3).Goals from Nolan and Brosnan, and a couple of Darragh Brooks two-pointers, helped Wexford establish a commanding 2-14 to 0-7 lead at the break. And John Hegarty's side pulled clear after the restart and led by 19 points when Nolan struck his second goal to put the Leinster county 3-20 to 0-10 up To Antrim's credit, they refused to give up. After Mark Rossiter raised the home side's fourth green flag, quickfire goals by Patrick Finnegan and Dominic McEnhill and three two-pointers helped them reduce the deficit to eight points. However, substitute Robbie Brooks added a fifth goal for Wexford to bring the curtain down on a disappointing year for Antrim, who were also relegated from Division who qualified for the quarter-finals by topping their group, are the sole Ulster representation left in this year's Tailteann Cup.

Antrim know that they are facing a major challenge to reach Croke Park in Tailteann Cup quest
If Antrim are to return to Croke Park, they will have to do it the hard way, beginning with Sunday's Tailteann Cup preliminary Quarter-Final trip to Wexford Park (1.00pm). Their eight-point win over London in Newry proved to be enough to claim one of the three places on offer for third-place finishers in the group phase, with Leitrim missing out at the expense of New York, who are parachuted in at this, the preliminary last-eight stage.

Tyrone Minors out to boost All-Ireland bid by overcoming tricky Quarter-Final test
The Red Hands looked composed and confident in winning the Ulster title under manager Gerard Donnelly, but they are aware that they will face a tough assignment against a Cork side that lost to Kerry in the Munster decider. While Tyrone have gained in confidence and style, they will certainly know to be on their guard against a Cork outfit that never quite managed to unveil their fluency against the Kingdom. Cork will be missing the services of the influential Cathal McCarthy for this contest because of suspension, but they possess other talismen in the form of Eoin Maguire, Ben Corkery Delaney and Tom Whooley. Tyrone have been looking confident of late and this is scarcely surprising given that they have won three Ulster titles on the trot. Manager Donnelly is aware that his team can impose themselves on opponents and is hoping that they can get into their stride quickly. In Cathal Farley, Eoin Long, James Mulgrew and Padraig Donaghy, the Red Hands boast a number of players who will be capable of taking the game to their opponents. Peter Garrity and Peter Colton are two players who are capable of taking scores from distance, while the tight marking of the Tyrone defence has also thwarted several sides to date. Indeed, Donnelly's side play with great intensity but they may find scores hard to come by on this occasion. Still, if their attack sees enough of the ball anything is possible. Meanwhile, Cavan will confront Kerry in the All-Ireland Minor Football Championship as part of the double bill on Saturday at O'Moore Park, Portlaoise (12.00 noon). The Cavan Minor side have crept to the fore recently, although they will be tested to the full by a Kerry outfit that have looked formidable to date. Harry McMullen, Sam Maguire, Faolan Graham, Nathan Quigley and Jake Brady have shown that they can underpin the Cavan outfit.
