'Lots of positives' but midfield 'still a concern'
Manchester United legend Wayne Rooney says there were "lots of positives" to take from the performance against Arsenal even if it ended in on his BBC podcast - The Wayne Rooney Show - he said: "Obviously it was a disappointing result, but I think there were lots of positives within the game. "Matheus Cunha looked fantastic. I loved the way he picked the ball up and he was driving at players, playing with the freedom and the creativity, which maybe we've been lacking in the last few years."Bryan Mbeumo started really well. He came out of the game a little bit, but then got back into it."Benjamin Sesko did what we expected him to do when he came on. He held the ball up, he put himself in the middle of the goal and he was waiting to try and get chances."So I think there's lots of positives."There's still a concern for me in the middle of the pitch, with Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes."I think they need more legs in there. Have Guehi and Eze played their last game for Palace?
Oliver Glasner was adamant post-match on Sunday that Eberechi Eze and Marc Guehi would still be at the club for Thursday, the club's first ever European game against Fredrikstad FK. It is such a massive occasion and both of them played such a key part in what will be a momentous match at Selhurst Park on Thursday they will play or not simply hinges on whether the deals - with Tottenham for Eze and Liverpool for Guehi - are made.I know Glasner is banking on both of those being available but that is wholly dependent on negotiations between all of the clubs involved.
