She was initially featured on the ITV show as a newborn in a bid to trace her parents.
Found wrapped in a pink towel, her story captivated viewers.
More than two decades later, Sarah returned to This Morning to provide a significant life update to hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard.
She shared details of her adoption, with footage showing her being cared for by former hosts Judy Finnigan and Richard Madeley during her initial appearance.
In the clip, Judy, then 57, held Sarah and told viewers: 'This little sprog was abandoned in a multi-story carpark. She was barely an hour old, weighing just 7lbs.'
After watching the tape back, Sarah said: 'It was crazy seeing that again and being back here. It's insane, full circle. I've been able to find my birth parents.
'My foster parents have always kept me informed about my past, and done it the right way.
'My backstory - they've shown me the clips and newspapers. I've always had my identity and history, that's the way it should be. Any questions I've had, they answered.'
This week Sarah's search for her birth parents will be shown in a documentary called Long Lost Family: Born Without A Trace.
Sarah continued: 'I'm proud of my story. I wanted to find out what is out there but also wanted to show who is out there that I've had a good life.
I Met My Sister After More Than 50 Years Apart
'I understand they'd also have the question of where am I now - I wanted to show them that I'm okay and give them that reassurance. I'm at peace with it and they can put it to bed.
'My birth mother thanked everyone for looking after me in a letter.
'The amount of gratitude of the people who stepped up to be my family is immense, they don't get enough gratitude. Nobody thanks them.
'They are the start of the family for those people, Wendy was the start of my family.'
Sarah originally appeared on This Morning in 2001, as she was being held by a police officer called Wendy.
Speaking to Cat and Ben today, Sarah described her birth father explaining how 'insane' it is that they are 'so alike.'

She added: 'My dad didn't even know that I existed. The way he welcomed me into his family was insane. My nan worked in the hospital I was brought into.'
Speaking about her birth mother's absence, Sarah said: 'The door is open for my birth mother and always will be.
'I've had 24 years to process my story. My mum has had a much shorter amount of time to process it. Life is complex.'
As the interview with Cat and Ben came to the end, a video of Richard Madeley speaking from his garden was played.
The TV presenter, 69, said: 'What an end to an incredible story. We were so passionate about trying to find your family for you.
'Huge congratulations from Judy and from me. Have a great rest of your life and lots of love.'

Emmerdale spoilers - Villain returns for revenge on Joe and Robert Sugden drama
Emmerdale spoilers have teased a very big week ahead on the ITV soap, as Joe Tate faces a villain in a revenge twist, while there's a double hospital dash and drama for Robert Sugden There's big twists and turns on Emmerdale next week, including a shocking return, revenge drama and danger for more than one resident. Joe Tate finally learns who's been targeting him with a harassment campaign, resulting in horrifying scenes next week. It sparks the return of a villain, with Joe possibly facing serious danger. He's not the only one, as two characters face trouble in a car incident as one of them faints behind the wheel. There's also schemes and threats as Robert Sugden takes action, while there's plenty of decisions and big moments ahead. Let's kick things off with the return of Joe's former accomplice and now nemesis, it seems, Dr Crowley. We last saw Crowley after he got dragged into Joe's schemes when he needed a new kidney. He was paying Crowley to help him find a donor and then perform the operation, which he did. What Crowley wasn't banking on though was Joel having his uncle Caleb Miligan stabbed, before being forced to remove the kidney and transplant it into Joe. With the police snooping around Crowley fled and he has not been seen since. But it seems he's out to get Joe, after weeks of harassment and he's not working alone. As the villain makes a comeback it seems he's more dangerous than ever, blackmailing Joe. As he's revealed to be behind Joe's ordeal, he demands £100,000 to be placed in the kitchen at Home Farm. Fearing Shaun is behind it, Joe sacks him leading to the character turning threatening. Joe plots to flee the village fearing he isn't safe, only to be knocked out by a shovel-wielding Shaun. That's not the worst of it though as he wakes up in a makeshift hospital room to a menacing Crowley looming over him. So what does Crowley have planned and will Joe make it out alive? Two other characters face danger next week, when Gabby's crash diet ahead of her wedding leaves her and Sarah Sugden in a bad way. Sarah is still recovering from her emergency hysterectomy when the pair go for a drive as mechanic Sarah offers to ensure Gabby's car is fine after some issues. She's trying to take her mind off things, clearly struggling and refusing to rest as suggested by the doctors. But having barely eaten for days, Gabby faints at the wheel meaning Sarah has to quickly grab the wheel to bring the car to a stop. Sarah is left in agony at having to stretch out amid her wounds from her operation. As they both end up in hospital, Sarah collapses. When joined by her grandfather Cain Dingle, an emotional Sarah admits the accident made her realise how badly she wants a family of her own so he suggests surrogacy. When Charity Dingle fears Cain is raising their granddaughter's hopes, Cain says he's determined to help her. As for Gabby, she's given the all clear but as fiancé Vinny Dingle supports her, he continues to hide his concerns over their relationship and continues to question his sexuality. Gabby's stepmother Laurel Thomas overhears Vinny talking with pal Kammy and demands a private chat. She encourages him not to marry Gabby if he's unsure about the relationship but what will he do? Finally next week, Robert Sugden causes more trouble when he avoids discussing plans for Annie's field after a deal with Moira Dingle. But when Ross Barton confronts him about the missing weed, Robert threatens to cancel the land deal with Moira, forcing Ross to back down temporarily. Kim Tate prepares to share all about her new man, and Tracy Robinson fumes at Cain over Nate's memorial. Lewis Barton gets a job at the café and proves to be a hit. Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX, with an hour-long episode on Thursdays. * Follow Mirror Celebs and TV on TikTok, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Threads.

ITV forced to halt filming of Stephen Mulhern show after fire on set
Filming of Stephen Mulhern's game show You Bet! was brought to a halt due to a fire on set. The Saturday Night Takeaway and Dancing On Ice host, 48, was working on the ITV show in Yorkshire at the time, shooting a special Emmerdale segment. It's been reported that a car burst into flames, with the fire spreading to prop vans used by crew members. As a result, thousands of pounds worth of equipment went up in smoke. According to MailOnline, two fire engines were called to the scene. An eyewitness described what unfolded as 'carnage'. 'The blaze just started from a random vehicle, which then resulted in vans used by the crew also going up in flames,' they explained. 'There was obvious panic, and it's a miracle nobody was harmed.' It's said the fire started 'within close proximity to the soap,' but thankfully, it didn't spread inside where filming actually happens. Speaking after the incident, a spokesperson for You Bet! also said: 'Following an incident that was unrelated to filming, production for You Bet! was suspended as a precaution. 'The situation was promptly assessed by the fire services, and no one was injured or affected. 'The health and safety of all individuals involved in the making of the programme remains our highest priority.' Also confirming their attendance to the matter, a spokesperson for West Yorkshire Fire Service explained that they were called to 'reports of a small vehicle on fire on Harewood Avenue' at 3:57pm on Friday. On the arrival of their two crews, the fires were extinguished. The cause has been recorded as accidental. Photos from the scene illustrate the extent of the damage, showing how the blaze completely destroyed what was inside the trucks. The set was located on the grounds of Harewood House in Leeds, with Mulhern there to record a challenge to appear in the upcoming series. Filming of the programme – which is a revival of the original format, which first aired in 1988 – will continue this week. In August 2024, ITV announced that Mulhern and Holly Willoughby would front two special episodes of You Bet!, in which a celebrity panel bets on the ability of members of the public to accomplish typically unlikely challenges and stunts. It was later revealed that Catchphrase host Mulhern would host the next full series solo, with Willoughby having quit in March. The reboot will comprise seven episodes and a Christmas special, but, in a twist to the format, each will be filmed in different locations across the country. An ITV spokesman said previously about the switch-up: 'Free from the restrictions of the studio, our epic challenges are about to get a whole lot bigger. 'Watching on, our celebrity panel's job is simple; they must decide if each challenger will succeed – yes or no. If they guess correctly, they'll be awarded points. 'The Celebrity with the most points at the end of the show will receive £5,000 for their chosen charity.' You Bet! will be aptly renamed You Bet! On Tour for the upcoming series, and bosses are hoping Willoughby will be up for returning at some point as a guest panellist. Other famous panel members will include Zoe Ball, Rob Beckett, Alex Brooker, Rylan Clark, Alesha Dixon, Alison Hammond, and Danny Jones. More Trending Speaking ahead of its release, Mulhern – who recently left his lucrative role at Butlin's – expressed his excitement: 'I'm absolutely thrilled that YouBet! is back – and this time we're hitting the road! 'Each week, I'll be joined by a top celeb panel as our challengers take on some brilliantly bonkers and amazing challenges. 'With the title of You Bet Champion on the line, it's going to be unbelievable from the start.' View More » You Bet! was originally hosted by Sir Bruce Forsyth from 1988 to 90, before Matthew Kelly took over from 1991 to 1995. Darren Day then hosted from 1996 to 1997. Got a story?
