Ten-man Motherwell secured their Scottish Premiership status for next season with a fine win over Dundee at Dens Park and as such, two Steelmen have made my team of the week.At the back, Dan Casey was committed as always, strong in the tackle and stout in defence. He was a threat to the opposition goal as well. But Tawanda Maswanhise was an even greater threat. He was direct, fast and a real weapon for Michael Wimmer's side. The Zimbabwe international again underlined his importance to Motherwell with the match-winning goal that keeps them in the top flight.

Neil Lennon in James Forrest quip after incredible career

The Pars boss watched on as the most decorated Hoops player of all time struck against St Mirren on the final day of the league season to ensure he had scored in each of the last 16 seasons. Lennon gave Forrest his debut at the age of 18 and would go on to rely heavily upon him across two spells as manager. The 33-year-old now has 26 winners' medals - 13 Scottish Premiership titles, eight Scottish Cups and five Scottish League Cups and that scoring record just ensure his name was etched further into club folklore. Lennon has huge admiration for him and has been so proud to see what he has gone on to achieve. He even joked he might be tempted to try and get him to drop down a division. He said: "It's wonderful. I'm so proud of him. "You couldn't write a better story when he got the last-minute goal against St Mirren. What a player. He was like that when he was 18. He's so humble. He's never changed. He shies away from all the spotlight and just gets on with his football. "He's one of the most exciting players Celtic have had for forever, really. Jamesy would drive at you from the left, he'd drive at you from the right. He's a great finisher. He had his ups and downs with injuries, but if you talk to every player or every manager who's worked with him, he's just been a joy to work with. "I think James respects what I did for him in his career. I managed him twice, and he always delivered. I loved him. I loved watching him play because he was different. He wanted to take people on. That was his remit when he was younger. I said I want you to run at people, and he was brilliant at it. "He was a really good finisher as well. I'm delighted for him. He's had a mega career. It is incredible that he is Celtic's most decorated player. You wouldn't he just shrugs his shoulders and wants to get the next one! "The consistency he has had and the talent. He's not lost that change of pace either. He can do a number on you from a standing position. He still has that wee electric burst to get away from people. "His finishing has always been top-class with both feet. You could play him anywhere along that front three, or even now, as he's getting older, you could play him as a 10. I'll maybe try and get him here. I'll have a chat!"

'It's letting fans down' - Well Society urge wider VAR debate

Motherwell's majority shareholder has called for a wider discussion on the use of VAR in Scottish football after none of their members backed the technology in its current a consultation, fans were almost equally split on whether VAR should be scrapped immediately or "fundamentally reformed".However, none of the supporters who took part in the Well Society survey felt VAR should remain unchanged. Less than one per cent were "unsure".A total of 63 per cent of respondents said they did not support VAR in Scottish football, while 60 per cent said the use of the video technology had made their experience as a supporter "significantly worse".A Well Society statement read: "Fans spoke about long delays, a lack of clear communication, inconsistent decisions, and a growing sense of disconnect between those in the stands and those officiating on the pitch."Rather than building trust in decisions, many feel VAR has done the opposite, creating more distance between supporters and the game itself."Some still see potential for technology to play a role in football, if used in the right way. But the overwhelming feeling from our fanbase is that VAR, as it stands in Scotland, is simply not working. "A system designed to bring clarity has, for many, only added more confusion."Well Society director David Cullinan added: "As a fan-owned club, we have a duty to listen. This wasn't about grabbing attention. It was about listening to what our supporters really think. "And they've made it clear that VAR, as things stand, is letting them down. This is just the start of a wider discussion, and we're calling on clubs across Scotland to stand with their supporters and be part of it."

Dundee need 'more experience' & 'back-up for Murray'

We asked for your views on what business you would like to see Dundee do in the transfer window this what some of you had to say:Iain: We need a midfield. A lot of the blame last season was given out to our defence, but they had nothing in front of them to actually give them a chance! We also need back-up for Simon Murray, he's brilliant and runs through brick walls for this club - but he can't do it alone!Keneil: Club needs to sort out all the out-of-contract players. We will need plenty midfielders, especially with experience to cover the loss of Lyall Cameron. Also Murray has to have a decent partner, he was left doing too much himself last season. Lastly I'm hoping as Steven Pressley was a good defender, I hope he can sort out our lot. Would like to see young Luke Graham get a game, he did really well at I think a new manager with a proven track record of success would be a good Josh Mulligan, Mo Sylla and Scott Tiffoney will go. Signing Ronan Hale from Ross County would go a long way to getting the fans onside again. We have one signed striker and virtually no midfield at present. I would like to see Jamie Brandon and Stephen Kelly signed from Livingston, plus Kyle Vassell who has left KilmarnockIain: A top defence coach would be a good start - 139 goals shipped in the past two campaigns. That's simply shocking. Murray performed miracles last season, but he's now our only recognised striker and is 33? Having lost Luke McCowan and Cameron we badly need some creative flair too. It's a total rebuild for Balance. This was Tony Docherty's undoing. Too many times last season the team was top heavy in rookies making rookie mistakes and no leaders on the pitch. We need a balance between seasoned pros and youth, this will help development more than anything Noah Chilvers and big Jordan White from Ross County. One is a classy midfielder and White is an experienced centre-forward for Murray to play off. Get centre defence sorted from players already there, but we need full-backs.
