7-Eleven's glazed doughnuts are 50 cents for one day only. Here's what to know
7-Eleven is offering discounted doughnuts — but the deal won't stick around.
On Friday, June 6, 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards members can grab a 50-cent glazed doughnut at participating 7-Eleven, Stripes and Speedway stores to celebrate National Doughnut Day, the convenience retailer said.
No additional purchase is required.
Those who miss the one-day offer can get a glazed doughnut for $1 until Tuesday, June 24, 7-Eleven said.
'At 7-Eleven, bakery is all about delivering a delicious, fresh experience that fits seamlessly into our customers' busy lives,' Brandon Brown, senior vice president of fresh foods for 7-Eleven, said in a news release.
Additional information wasn't immediately available.
The first National Doughnut Day event was held in Chicago in 1938, according to The Salvation Army. 'Donut Lassies' served the pastries to thousands of soldiers during World War I and helped popularize doughnuts in the U.S., the organization's website says.
'Both the presence of these courageous women and the donuts that tasted of home brought a light of hope and happiness to the battlefield — a much-needed morale boost for languishing soldiers,' The Salvation Army said.

National Donut Day glazes KELOLAND
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — While National Donut Day is a nationwide holiday, local businesses are getting a taste of it in Sioux Falls. 'It's kind of like the Super Bowl for donut shops. We definitely look forward to it every year,' said Ben Duenwald, Owner of Flyboy Donuts. South Dakota's fall pheasant outlook is 'very positive' Yonutz Donuts and Ice Cream opened in Sioux Falls last month, just in time for the occasion. The franchise has gained popularity due to its signature 'Smashed Donut' which combines a warm pressed donut with ice cream filling. At 3 p.m. Friday, the first 50 customers at Yonutz will get a free big donut, and then at 7 p.m., the first 50 people can get a free simply smashed donut. But the celebration is more than just an excuse to eat donuts. The day originates back to World War I when female Salvation Army volunteers would serve soldiers on the front lines. 'They could treat the troops in the trenches quickly by giving them something homemade,' Duenwald said. 'A ring donut is easy to cook because it's a lot of surface area. That's why there's a hole in it on it.' Duenwald says Friday's donut holiday is the biggest day for them. On Friday morning they made over 20,000 donuts in preparation, and they continue to prepare them throughout the day. Flyboy Donuts now has five locations throughout Sioux Falls and Duenwald says they've had thousands of people throughout all their locations. 'I've realized that donuts are more of the American fabric than even the hot dog or the apple pie, in my opinion,' said Duenwald. 'Everybody has a memory, a nostalgic memory with donuts or the donut shop they might have grown up with.' Other donut shops and bakeries in Sioux Falls include Mr. Donuts, Queen City Bakery and CNC Food Factory. Copyright 2025 Nexstar Media, Inc. All rights reserved. Longtime lottery player buys 2 tickets in Maryland. They were both big winners
A longtime lottery player bought two tickets that turned out to be winners in Maryland, officials said. The winner, who's been playing the lottery for the last 15 years and crosses the state to rack up wins, bought two Bonus Match 5 tickets at a 7-Eleven in Waldorf, according to a June 5 news release by the Maryland Lottery. He had no idea the May 30 drawing would reveal that each ticket was holding a $50,000 prize, officials said. The man scanned the ticket at the store and saw it was a winner but stayed calm before heading home to share the news with his wife, officials said. 'I kept my cool and left the store right away,' he told lottery officials. When asked what he plans to do with the winnings, the lucky man said 'I'll get ahead on some bills, and the rest I'll save for a rainy day,' according to the release. Waldorf is about a 60-mile drive southwest from Baltimore.
