Love Island's first bombshell is revealed and the American beauty is already in the villa causing a stir

Daily Mail6 hours ago

Love Island's first bombshell has been revealed and she is already in the villa.
ITV 's flagship show is already underway ahead of their season 12 launch on Monday as they have already started checking in the islanders.
American beauty, Antonia Laites, who is a pool party girl from Las Vegas, is the first bombshell to check into the villa, according to The Sun.
Antonia, who has also resided in Miami, is a sizzling brunette whose day-to-day is looking after the VIP cabanas at the lavish Fontainebleau Resort in Sin City.
The Yank has reportedly strutted in on the first day to stir the pot for the islanders on the very first day.
From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop.
A source told the publication: 'Being Love Island's first bombshell of the series is a big deal and is always reserved for the sexiest cast members.
'In the past it's been the likes of Davide, Uma and even Ekin-Su on All Stars.
'Antonia landed as part of a huge first day and everyone is very excited.'
Earlier this week, show host M aya Jama set pulses racing on Instagram as she teased the first-ever American bombshell.
The Love Island host, 30, flaunted her legs in a silky white robe as she revealed to fans that she'd received a voice note from a mystery new islander.
At the start of the clip, Maya playfully echoed the show's signature line: 'Oh, I've got a text... I've been expecting this one.'
She then listened to the message, which teased: 'Hey Maya, I heard you want more twists. How about an American bombshell? Get ready, I'm on my way.'
While the voice note didn't reveal their identity, it confirmed that for the first time ever Love Island UK is welcoming a U.S. islander into the villa.
Maya wrapped up the teaser with a smile, saying: 'Alright, there's the sweet, sweet sounds of an American.'
Love Island confirmed the full line-up of contestants joining the upcoming series earlier this week.
The ITV2 dating show returns on June 9 and there looks set to be the usual mix of love triangles, bedroom trysts and messy breakups as contestants make their way to the island.
This year's crop of hopefuls include a Declan Rice body double, fire breather and Maura Higgins lookalike and Maya will once again be at the helm after joining the popular dating series in January 2023.
This year, the show celebrates a decade on screens and promises to have 'more twists and turns than ever before' in honour of their 10-year anniversary.
The series, which has been streamed over two billion times on ITVX, has seen over 300 Islanders pass through the villa doors over the years, including the likes of Olivia Attwood, Dani Dyer, Chris Hughes, and Molly-Mae Hague.
Earlier this week, a Love Island producer also revealed that this year's contestants could come face to face with their ex-partners in the villa.
Speaking to The Sun, ITV's Mike Spencer-Hayter said: 'Do you know what I always say, the cast get released and then the ex's come forward. And that's how you get the bombshells.
'They will have to go through the process, but we have already a pool of really really good bombshells lined up. There's some people in that mix that are really under the radar as well.
'The casting team have been working for quite a while now. Gone to lots of different events and been out and about looking for people and I think they've done a brilliant job. We always have those killer bombshells to come in.'
It comes after Mike revealed to the Mail that the first week of the new season will see 'something big' as they 'tear up the rule book' to liven up the hit show.
Last year the show had a shock entry when TOWIE favourite Joey Essex, 34, entered the villa, to very mixed results from fans.
When asked if they will be getting another former reality TV star or celebrity in as a contestant this year, Mike said something else will be a surprise.
'No former Love Islanders are coming in this year,' he said. 'Something big is coming in week one though. Not another reality star like Joey Essex.
'We've got a big week one planned. It's not a celebrity, but totally new. It's even different this year the way islanders will couple up.
'You can't rest on people loving the show, we have to keep it exciting. Tear up the rule book a bit.'
Love Island is set to air on June 9 over on ITV2 and ITVX.

Fans react after CNN's historic live airing of George Clooney's political Broadway play Good Night, And Good Luck

Fans had mixed reviews for CNN 's historic simulcast of George Clooney 's smash Broadway play, 'Good Night, and Good Luck.' CNN made history Saturday night, becoming the first network to simulcast a live Broadway show, according to the network. Clooney, 64, portrays legendary journalist Edward R. Murrow in the play, which he also wrote with his creative partner Grant Heslov, based on the 2005 film of the same name that he starred in, directed and co-wrote with Heslov. The play opened to strong reviews and earned five Tony Award nominations, including one for Best Actor for Clooney, who is facing a lawsuit over his Casamigos tequila brand. The production has also been just as much a commercial hit as it's been a critical smash, becoming the first Broadway play in history to gross $4 million in one week. While many viewers praised CNN for increasing accessibility to Broadway, some slammed the network for taking time away from important news coverage. 'Appreciate CNN airing Good Night and Good Luck. Very relevant,' one person said. 'What a treat, a great play streamed live last night,' said another. 'Really enjoyed tonight's @CNN broadcast of the Broadway production of "Good Night, and Good Luck." Really well done. I hope they rebroadcast it at some point for those who missed it,' a third person said. 'The montage at the end of 'Good Night, and Good Luck' deserves to be seen by all,' added a fourth. 'Good Night, and Good Luck Live is just proving that theatre SHOULD be regularly broadcasted or made available to stream,' another person said. 'Love CNN live-streaming Clooney's Good Night and Good Luck. Broadway needs to do more of this,' said a sixth. Some critics bashed CNN for not covering the news of the day during the broadcast time and thought the topic of the play was ironic given anchor Jake Tapper's book controversy. 'Fox News is running this stuff, meanwhile over at CNN they're Wall-To-Wall with a Broadway production of "Good Night, And Good Luck" starring George Clooney … in case you want to know who's more useful for actual news between the two,' one persons said. 'CNN choosing to broadcast Good Night, and Good Luck might be the most hilarious moment of the year so far,' said another. 'This network has become a complete joke in the era of Trump and CNN suddenly decides to broadcast a story about the importance maintaining journalistic integrity.' A third person said, 'The irony of @cnn simulcasting "Good Night and Good Luck" is surely lost on @jaketapper and a bevy of news execs.' The show's limited run wraps on Sunday after the matinee, and then many of the cast and crew will head over Radio City Music Hall for the Tony Awards. Clooney has been active in the Broadway community since his debut in March, and is regularly seen participating in the softball league. The Hollywood icon had to dye his gray hair a dark brown color for the part, which has been met with mixed reactions. He told Seth Meyers on his late night show that his wife Alma Clooney thinks the dye job is 'funny,' but will be 'glad when it's gone.'

Molly Mae reveals secret struggle over reunion with Tommy Fury as pair enjoy romantic staycation weekend with baby Bambi

MOLLY Mae has admitted there's certain aspects of reuniting with Tommy Fury that she's struggling to deal with in the spotlight. The Love Island icon and Maebe mogul finally confirmed she was back together with Tommy after a one-year break in May, after hiding their rekindled romance for months. 9 9 With their relationship now out in the open, Molly and Tommy have been enjoying a string of breaks together, enjoying a 'staycation' this weekend in the Cotswolds with their daughter, Bambi. But as the pair took some time away at a 17th century estate complete with a swimming pool, Molly uploaded a new vlog on her YouTube channel talking about life lately. In it, she admits that it's been strange adjusting to life publicly again with Tommy, and found herself struggling during a trip to Disneyland in Paris. 'Disneyland was just like… I don't want to say not enjoyable, because we had a lovely time,' she told the camera, adding: 'Disneyland was just, we went at the wrong time.' Explaining the family took the trip during the half-term holidays, Molly said she was joined by Tommy and Bambi, as well as a group of loved one. However, she found herself unable to enjoy the trip to its fullest after spotting other people at the park filming them and taking photos. While she tried to make light of the situation – saying she made sure she posed or stared at them so they realised later they had been caught out taking sneaky pictures – Molly said it was hard especially with their daughter around. 'At Disneyland, when I was with Bambi, it's quite hard to navigate that,' she said. 'When you have a toddler, you're out with your partner, and there's already a little bit of a new thing that you're back out together, and you're trying to navigate that, and then you can see people looking and staring and filming. 'It was my birthday as well, and it was just like… kind of tricky to figure out if we were having boundaries, or there weren't any boundaries.' Molly Mae and Tommy Fury 'confirm' reunion as they BOTH share snaps from holiday 'I won't be in a rush to go back anywhere as busy and as public and as crazy as that, because we should have known better, really,' she declared. 'I think we feel it more now, because obviously going out together now, it is a bit.. not anxiety inducing, I don't know what the word for it is, it's just a bit like new territory. 'Because for people it's a bit like taboo, I don't know, but if people see us out, it's like 'oh, like let's film!' 'I don't know – I just think I maybe felt it a bit more this time,' she noted. 9 9 9 After posting the vlog, Molly and Tommy whisked themselves away to a romantic "staycation" for the weekend. Holing up in the Cotswolds, Molly looked happy as she cuddled up next to Tommy during some downtime. Returning from a trip to St Tropez for work, Molly decided she needed some family time – with Bambi quickly taking to the hotel pool. Sharing one adorable snap, Molly said of her little one: "Telling this girl she can't go swimming when she sees a pool is like trying to put toothpaste back in the tube. Never going to happen!" However she noted it wasn't as glam as it looked, with Molly noting "It was freezing". 9 9 9

Jack Fincham and Chloe Brockett 'back together again after sixth split'

Seventh time's a charm for Jack and Chloe, who have reunited again after a tough couple of months for the pair, reigniting the spark by going on a series of sweet dates with each other Love Island star Jack Fincham and his on-off girlfriend Chloe Brockett are back together, after six break-ups. Still not ready to full call it a day, the couple are trying again to make their relationship work. Only in April it was reported that the constant bickering and heated rows had become too much for the pair, who ended their relationship for the sixth time. But seventh time's the charm for the tumultuous couple, who have come to the realisation that they have something "special". ‌ Jack, who found fame on Love Island in 2018, was paired up on the show with Dani Dyer. But the pair didn't last, splitting up just a few months after leaving the villa. ‌ Dani, 28, later found love with West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen, with the couple getting married last weekend. Jack moved on with TOWIE star Chloe, 24, after they got together in 2019, and they've finally put their differences aside, after being spotted at Bethnal Green's Columbia Road Flower Market. A source told the Sun: "Chloe and Jack have been on and off for months but have finally put their differences aside to give their relationship another chance. They really want to make it work so have been enjoying some lowkey dates as they gradually build the trust. "They have realised they have something special so want to put their time and energy into making it work." The Mirror has reached out to Jack and Chloe's reps for comment. In March, Chloe opened up about one of their rows, admitting she threw a virtual reality headset at her boyfriend in a rage. She spoke about it on Spread The Juice podcast, explaining she had bought him the headset as a Christmas gift. ‌ She told host Jemma Lucy: "I bought Jack a Meta Quest for Christmas and I threw the Meta Quest at him. I just threw it at him." She revealed her reason for the aggressive moment was simply because she was "angry". At the time, Chloe insisted the pair were still an item. She told her Instagram followers: "For anyone concerned, I am very much still in a relationship. The last few months been very hard for everyone involved." She seemed to be referring to his court case, in which he avoided prison time after winning an appeal against his six week prison sentence. He was initially charged and convicted of being in charge of a dangerously out-of-control dog. ‌ But after the appeal, he was given a further three-month suspended sentence. This was added to his 18-month suspended sentence for a drug-driving offence in March 2024. They then split, with Jack admitting in May they were living apart. He told the Sun: "Chloe and I haven't been in a great place. I'm living at my mum's and she has moved out of the house we lived in and into her own flat. "I don't know what will happen between us. I still love her. I doubt it's over for good. We've been through a hell of a lot in the past couple of years."
